Sports/খেলাধুলা Is it okay to dream Bangladesh winning tomorrow by an innings and some runs?

After the disastrous performance in Zimbabwe, I thought Bangladesh would crumble before the full strength Aussie team. But from Day 1, our boys are performing exceptionally well. With 67 runs in lead, and Australia have 6 wickets in hand, would it be too exorbitant expectation to see our boys winning this match by an innings? Will it be the biggest upset in cricket history?

If BD wins tomorrow, it will be with 3-4 wickets in hand.

Edit: Happy to be proven wrong!!!

Anyone know how/why Taskin has lost so much pace over the last few years? The guy used to be able to hit 140 quite effortlessly but nowadays he struggles to hit even 130. Don’t know if it’s the excess weight he’s put on over the years or if this is intentional. He looks like he’s running in hard and hitting the deck hard but it’s a paltry 128kph. Even Hasan Mahmud is bowling faster than him while swinging the ball, with what looks like a lot less effort.

Probably because of the biomechanics. They need to consult with their pace bowling coach regarding this. Although Taskin has been that impact bowler who brings the breakthrough at the crucial moments.

With the number of injuries he's had since his teen years, I don't expect his pace to go up much again.

Possible obviously if we get some movement early and we get a few early wickets. Not highly probable. We shoupd look to restrict their lead under 100 realistically.

To me the more likely scenario is they score 290-310. We'll have around 80 runs to win. We win by 7 wickets by end of tomorrow

Maybe not by an innings, but yeah, shouldn’t be that difficult.

Everyone is praising them but you shouldn't celebrate until they take the winning run or wicket.

No. It gets easy to bat tomorrow. So bangladesh needs quick wickets

You can support your country by watching the premier League on Stadium. Posting about the matches online. And writing positive motivation for the youngsters.

i think it will go to day 5. The first session is very important. If they drop two more wickets before getting the lead it's probably in the bag by tomorrow.

I never trust Bangladesh in the 4th innings. Need to get them all-out ASAP.

Let them win first, BD have the worst batting lineup in the entire cricket world.

Congratulations Bangbros! A historic victory for you guys here in Australia :)

In order for me to celebrate your win, what's an iconic Bangladesh meal I can cook?

u/mymentor79 23d ago

Chicken tikka masala, if the history is to be believed.

Congrats to the Tigers, although as an Australian I can't say I'm as surprised as maybe some others. I think our team is hugely overrated.

But an impressive performance by Bangladesh. Controlled the game from start to finish, effectively.
