Policy/কর্মপন্থা More opportunities abroad
With all our neighbors getting kicked out from H1B positions in USA. Do you think we can have more opportunities?

No. Work visa is same for both India and Bangladesh.

Pipe dream. We, Bangladeshis, are viewed as Indians in America and the West. When they (mostly the racists) say they don't want Indians we are included in there too. They don't want us either.
The only difference will be specific rule/law created to limit immigration from specific country. But considering US politics is so gridlocked, that is highly unlikely.

It’s time we separate ourselves from them. We need to promote our culture. I see many people from our country running very good Indian restaurants it’s time we change it to Bangladesh restaurants.

No one will go to a Bangladeshi restaurant except Bangladeshi. People go to Indian restaurant because they already know indian food. We are just a small country, no one knows about us. Our food is not popular, you will see all Bangladeshi and Pakistani owner market themselves as pure indian to get customer.

What public opinion? Less than .0001% people know there is a country named Bangladesh. In west, almost all brown people is known as indian. You will get used to it after a few days.
So if there is a sentiment against indian in any country then as a fellow brown people we also get the hit. So if it is bad for indian than it is bad for us also. One more thing, in abroad you will feel more close connection to indian, pakistani, sri lankan, nepali. I love to talk to indian and pakisatni.

Not visas in general the opinion of employers is changing and soon they will realize we are better and smarter. This will open more doors for us

wowww Seriously… I am from India and interacted with many Bangladeshi (very nice people) in USA. I referred or helped them to my capacity. But I never knew you all had so much hate on us. Strange times I guess

No. Our neighbours are not being targeted due to nationality. Only the ones that were taking advantage of the system fraudulently. But the crackdown exists to restrict immigration OVERALL, not to make the system fairer. So there's going to be fewer opportunities going forward, rather than more.

Not just the visas. I am sure people are fed up with them and are realizing we can do much better job and more brilliant so we can easily replace them

Nobody is realizing shit. Nobody in the US has the time to different between different types of South Asians. Also, statistically speaking, no, we aren’t necessarily more brilliant nor do better jobs at the same scale. The number (or even proportion) of highly successful Bangladeshi immigrants is quite small, compared to literally THE most successful demographic of people in the US (significantly more than White or Chinese Americans too). The evidence simply isn’t there in our favour.

They have the highest household median income among any racial/ethinic group in the US. Close to double that of Bangladeshi-Americans.

It’s a cycle. One guy becomes a CEO and he keeps hiring people from same community.
