Policy/āĻāĻ°ā§āĻŽāĻĒāĻ¨ā§āĻĨāĻž Govt plans 80 daycare centres to support working mothers
Key proposals expected in the budget include:Â
Establishment of 20 modern daycare centres for working women in the first phase, followed by an additional 63 centres in subsequent phases
Rehabilitation and social protection measures for women migrant workers returning from abroad
Provision of 30kg of rice per month to 1.04 million women under the Vulnerable Women Benefit (VWB) programme
Strengthening of "Quick Response Teams" to ensure faster action against violence against women and children
Long-term rehabilitation programmes for street children and children at risk
Continued operation of 33 integrated child rehabilitation centres across 17 districts to protect underprivileged and vulnerable children

I fear the situation for middle/upper-middle class working mothers will remail the same as government subsidized care may not be up to their aspired standards.

Ya that's true, but it's a great opportunity for the lower-middle class mothers who normally wouldn't be able to afford the upper end centers

Thats idiotic. Why are we so hellbent on making the same Mistakes West did even though we seen the consequences of those decision on the West.

If we want women in the workplace-at all, daycare is the way forward. Nowadays working class women are afraid to have kids because of limited/no daycare facilities.

why are we following western ways even though it leads to their extinction? Why do women have to work in the work place in the first place? Having two income available increases inflation rate. With two income, you will see prices of houses go up, so does cost of education, then you have more competition for the jobs. Both get stressed, both bicker in the houses since they are literally competition of one another. Then you get natural tendensies of men and women like hypergamy. We already seen the affects of these decisions in the western countries, why do we want to follow them?

Men have tried that in the West too. Ever heard of term House Husband? Turns out West have tried many different combination, but only one works for both to some measures. Women do not respect the Men who stay at home, they get Naggy, argumentative and Cheat on their husbands. Then, you have problem like hypergamy since women want their husband to make more than them but will only settle for equal amount of income. That means only Fewer men get to have a family, and those men who can get married, don't want to marry jsut one wife, they becomes players. We have seen this in South Korea as well. Since, South Korean Men have to join military for 2 years but women don't have to. As a result, all South Korean men make less money than all South Korean Women. So, they are going extinct. They have other problems as well but this one is a Huge contributing factor for declining birth rate.

And the Eastern Nations like Japan and Korea? You really believe We are "BETTER" than all of Western Nations? Biology does not change. There was a divorce in India where wife broke up the marriage because her husband was TOO nice. We have seen this in the West as well, where the wives have admitted their husbands had no fault whatsoever, but divorced because they were bored. Women do not respect Men if the Men are not in charge. We have tried every other combination. Result is always the same. Do you want prices of Goods including housing, housewares to increase combined with decrease of wages due to increased competition from wives, family relation to breakdown because both members are stressed and in competiton all the time. Women to be on antidepressent because they lost their fertile years chasing careers or depressed from constant competation of work. Honestly, understand this, most of us are not Great People. We are not going to achieve anything worthy of even being a footnote of history. Most of us only can achieve some measure of happiness and fulfillment from having a family and raising our children well. Thats it. We won't get that working in retail job like arong or being a restaurant server or programmer.

They have much bigger issues?? Social pressure to be best? Beauty standards? No work life balance? Women still expected to do bulk of the household chores? As for why should women need to wrok. Women have been working along side men for ages . But their work wasn't recognised. Still most people ask " show how many women were building civilization? Emon ki koros tora ? " Only time women's worth is recognised when she earns her own money. No even then they are looked down upon. But at least she has the option to leave .

It's not about that, imagine high class woman who are already entitled gaining another benefits while lower class family still struggling to find good meals.
