Family [Need advice (26F)] Brother found out about dad’s cheating, mom is unaware and has heart problems NSFW

Upvotes

This is a recent event that happened. Basically, my brother found out that my dad’s been cheating on our mom since the start of the year.

My brother’s away for college (2-3hrs drive from our town). My parents often visit him. I’m an 8-hour flight away too, so that’s another factor. I haven’t been home for three years already.

The other day my brother borrowed my dad’s personal tablet. He was hesitant at first and asked what the reason was for borrowing it but then agreed since my brother wanted to use it for studying before exams.

Then at night, my brother came across a screenshot of a conversation. It was a conversation of my dad and the mistress. He felt the need to go to a messaging app and check. When he did, he was shocked to find out that it wasn’t our fathers account logged in, but the other woman’s account. He tried to check if he could login using our father’s account but unfortunately he logged it out already and requires his password. He didn’t even think about whether he logged all of the accounts out which is dumb of him btw.

That night my brother went through their conversations. He then found out that there’s not only one mistress but TWO of them. My brother gathered a lot of evidence through photos and screenshots. He was shaken from what he’s seen. My brother is 5 years younger than me but we’re both legal age already.

Our timezones are different. He was in panic and decided to call our aunt who lives in our house as well. My aunt broke down crying. Hurt for our mom and for us.

I found out about it in the morning. I read a lot of their messages. Apparently they’ve had sexual relations already and have done it multiple times, both mistresses know each other as well. The mistresses don’t live too far away from each other. My father would also send money monthly to them. The fucking audacity. He’d say sweet words to them and tell them he loves them. All the lascivious exchanges makes me wanna vomit. They’d often go on audio/video calls as well and just end it when my mom either comes home or goes into the same room as my dad.

My brother’s been suspecting that he’s on call with other women but he just confirmed it now. We have a copy of all the evidence my brother has gathered and the three of us, including my aunt, are devastated.

Quick history, our mother has a lot of comorbidities. She has an autoimmune disease and has survived two heart attacks already. Her heart’s really fragile. My father was a witness to all of this and was by her side the entire time. He would cry and be affected whenever my mother is sick. They’ve always had financial arguments and a few fights. But my aunt said they’d often have fights more recently. My mother is the type of person who’d get really emotional and irrational. She also has a lot of personal financial problems, she’s a big spender and my dad has been dealing with this since I was young. Although both my parents are capable financially (I think).

Last year I was thinking that my father would go through breaking up with her, since divorce isn’t legal in our country. I thought things were still going strong and that they’d just get through rough patches. Unfortunately, he cheated. This is a lot more heartbreaking.

I am still in shock. Haven’t cried since finding out. I think I’m in the stage of disgust and betrayal for now. I’m sad for my brother since he had the raw exposure from reading everything. I’m concerned for my mother’s sexual health as well.

My father is clueless, still sending usual messages in our group chat. I’m also acting normal in the meantime since we don’t have a plan on what to do yet. But I have no energy to even call and pretend that everything’s fine.

I’m so lost on what we should do first. I don’t know how to deal with this situation. Just need some advice please.

I how do I fix my self esteem (18f) after being called intimidating NSFW

Upvotes

I am (18f) and been struggling with my insecurities all my life. Ever since I got to college I have been told I look intimidating or have a rbf by strangers. I have been told this before as I never used to dress up or do my makeup. I have been really paranoid about my appearance because all my life I have told I’m not a looker. But I think now im decently attractive and have a good body. But every time I’m told scary, I get super insecure and sad. Any tips to be more secure in myself.

Existing Relationship Can't tell if I'm ruining relationship or if my relationship is ruining me (28F/28M) NSFW

Upvotes

First of all, please don't tell me to seek therapy, individual or couples, or go to a support group/meeting, or try medication, I am doing all of it, I simply don't have many other people to talk to right now, especially about such serious things.

I (28F) am having a quarter-life crisis, or my Saturn return, maybe it's my mood disorder, who knows! But I am very unhappy and disengaged in my life (mentally, physically, spiritually, professionally), I am lonely most of the time, and am in a state of insecurity and smallness that I haven't really experienced before as a typically outgoing, well-traveled, energetic, artistic person. This is devastating me, and I constantly find myself wrapped up in self-hatred, nostalgia, and even intricate fantasies of leaving everything in my life behind and starting fresh, free to be who I want to be without any of my current responsibilities. Escape. I can identify these thoughts as unreasonable/unrealistic, but they just gradually get more intense.

I live with my fiancé of 2 years (28M) and our cat, and when I am feeling my best, I look around and I really am in love with my whole life. We had a love-at-first-sight meeting and frankly moved fast, but loved it. I had a shitty housing situation and it made the most sense to move in together so we did just that after about 6 months, and earlier this year finally moved in to a more comfortable place where it feels we're building a home. This is all also fresh off a couple years of me traveling extensively and living quite freely then settling down in a new city, all of which was a bit destabilizing, so this relationship felt like, for the first time, starting to build a supportive and consistent foundation for my life. And we adore each other.

Long story short, I have many loose-goosey, creative type-b, acting out sort of qualities, and he has many OCD, type-A, stubborn and possessive type qualities, and the friction between those things just won't stop building, to the point where I feel overly-domesticized and stuck and I lack his trust, and he lives in near constant worry, suspicion, and intense frustration at small inconveniences, which in turn can spiral into real tension in the house. I am a bit more flexible and eager to improve as people and tackle our issues, he struggles with motivation/pessimism. For the first time, I am compulsively wondering, how incompatible are we actually? How long can I accept treatment I don't like/inflict frustration I don't intend to? Will either of us ever get better/become the best possible partner for the other? How can I stop fantasizing about doing/being anything else? How can I show up for him when I have gnawing thoughts in the back of my mind about all of this ending? Do I feel spiritually/emotionally/physically sick because of Us, or are We in jeopardy just because of how sick I feel?

In other words, am I feeling terrible/having this crisis because of this relationship and all the life changes that have come with it, or am I reverting to my old ways of poor/spontaneous/selfish decision-making and trying to blow up something good, and when it's over... wherever-I-go-there-I-am, ya know?

If you had a close friend in this situation, what would you tell them? I'm missing that right now, on account of my poor mental health and being in a professional/social transition period and not having a consistent friend group.

TL;DR Girl is having an identity crisis and is trying to sort out whether she is self destructing her own relationship as an old habit or if she is having this crisis because of the currently not-great but still deeply-loving conditions of her relationship

Existing Relationship Cheating? (29F) and (35M) I feel so upset and scared, and I don't understand what the truth is. NSFW

Upvotes

Please note: Please no harshness, rudeness, or mean behavior. This is extremely hard for me and I have no idea what to do but I feel really horrible.

So my bf and I have been having issues for a while now, and aren't having sex (About 4 months).

I usually don't do this, but previously I noticed a naked photo that he took of himself on his phone. He said it was just a progress photo and I remember seeing that he had a hard on (Obviously not 100% sure because it was very quick). I accidentally saw it because he was showing me something else...

Anyway, we had a pretty good conversation about it and he said it was just a progress photo (he trains very hard) and he didn't have a hard on. He was reciprocating and it felt like a healthy conversation.

As a woman, you kind of get this gut feeling if something is going on, a females intuition is typically very good. I usually never do this because I'm 29 now, this may have been something I'd do back when I was 20, but I did it.. I went through his phone. I saw a few photos he took of himself (clothed) that weren't sent to me, and were deleted. He has a pixel and I found them in the "Files" app. I don't know if that means anything. If it does, please let me know.

Then I found something that almost made me faint. It's a sexual photo with a mans legs spread, and a woman bending down in front of him (maybe sucking him off, it's cut off there) and her ass in the air. It looked like his legs, couldn't really be 100% sure honestly. It was on Monday night under (31st August), so last week. He had training that night until 8:30pm and we said goodnight at 9pm. The photo of the woman doesn't have a timestamp.. but then there are photos after that of his room which he sent me closer to 12am showing me how he rearranged his room.

I decided to ask him whether he had ever been unfaithful and he said no. I asked him if I said I wanted to go through his phone, how he would respond and he said "I have nothing to hide". We then spoke more about our relationship about we agreed that we have a beautiful relationship, and that we have so much love for each other, but obviously our relationship is hard at the moment. Previously he had totally rejected the idea of going to individual therapy, but last night he agreed he would look in to it, which felt promising.

Any advice would be great here, please just don't be harsh or cruel, I am struggling a lot.

I (19f) think my friend (m19) wants to become more than that - please help! NSFW

Upvotes

For context, my friend and I have been close since high school, and we’ve recently become intimate with each other. So far, this has mainly involved hand stuff, over-the-clothes touching, and sexting. We’re both attracted to each other, and we’ve also been each other’s first intimate experience.

A few days ago, he invited me over to his place on a specific day when he’ll be home alone. However, he made it clear that I would need to leave before anyone else came home because he doesn’t want them to see me there.

I’m attracted to him both physically and romantically, whereas I think his attraction toward me is probably more physical. We’re good friends, so I’m a little nervous about potentially changing the dynamic between us.

There’s also something I’ve been wondering about: whenever we sext or exchange pictures, I’m always the one who sends pictures of myself. He’ll compliment me, which I appreciate, but he has never sent me pictures of himself. I’m not upset about it! I’m just curious whether that’s normal or if it could mean something.

I’d really appreciate some perspective, especially from women who have been in similar situations.

  • Would you consider what we’ve already done to mean that we’re basically unofficial FWB, or is that not necessarily the case?
  • Is it normal for someone to want to keep a sexual partner/friend’s presence at their house a secret from their family?
  • Since I know he’s invited me over partly for sexual reasons, what should I realistically expect from the situation?
  • Is it normal to feel nervous or anxious even when you’re attracted to someone and genuinely want to do something with them?
  • Is it normal for a guy to be comfortable receiving intimate pictures but not want to send any of himself?
  • Is there anything I should be thinking about or discussing with him beforehand, especially given that we’re close friends?

I’m not necessarily looking for people to tell me whether I should or shouldn’t do it—I’m more interested in understanding the situation and knowing what I should be prepared for.

Any and all advice is much appreciated <3

How do i convince myself (23F) that im pretty in every situation NSFW

Upvotes

so I don’t think I’m not pretty because I’ve received a lot of compliments growing up. I know that when I style my hair a certain way and wear makeup I can look pretty but I want to feel pretty in my natural appearance as well. without make up, without my hair done. just my bare face without any enhancement. I don’t even care if people don’t think I’m natural beautiful as long as I think I am but HOW do I get there? I took some pictures of myself with my digi cam and I felt so ugly, I want to stop feeling like this

Friendship (24f)How do I deal with shame about my body? Marriage proposals and seeing my friend after 7 years have made me feel deeply ashamed and self-critical. NSFW

Upvotes

Recently, two things happened that exacerbated my self-criticism, shame, and dissatisfaction. First, I've had several marriage proposals for the first time in my life, but I'm overweight right now, and I feel extremely embarrassed and rejected because of my body. Also, my friend, who was studying abroad, is visiting. We haven't seen each other in seven years, and now I have to meet her in this body. I feel like I just want a magic pill to make me lose weight. I feel like I want to stay home and never go out to interact with anyone, just to punish myself. In addition, I feel like I have no willpower. I'm tired of failing so many times to lose weight; every time I try, I end up back at square one.

Where do I (26f) start with fixing the intimacy issues in my marriage? NSFW

Upvotes

For context, my husband and I have been married for 3 years. We didn’t have sex before marriage due to our religious beliefs, but attraction was no problem for either of us. We talked a lot during engagement about our expectations and seemed on the same page.

Once married, we had sex 1-3 times a week for the first few months. I was rejected whenever I tried to initiate for those first few months, so I gave up and waited for him to initiate. He started making me orgasm about a year into marriage after a huge argument, and still does so about half the time. We also began having sex about once a month. That's not normal, right? If it were me, we'd be having mutual sex 1-3 times a week.

We have had many conversations about how to improve our sex life, but at this point I feel hopeless. Things don't seem to change. I feel insecure since he doesn't like it when I lead, makes out with me just to appease me, and our frequency is abysmal.

Where do I even start? Please help!

Existing Relationship My girlfriend (19F) isn’t getting very aroused with me (23M). How should I approach this without putting pressure on her NSFW

Upvotes

I recently started dating this girl after talking for a couple of months. She’s really cute, funny, and I’m very physically attracted to her. She has never had a boyfriend before or been intimate with anyone in any way, so all of this is completely new to her.
Recently we took things a little further and started getting more physically intimate. I’ve been trying to take it slowly, learn what she’s comfortable with, and pay attention when she tells me what she likes or doesn’t like.

The problem is that she doesn’t seem to get very aroused when we’re together, and I’m starting to get in my own head about it. I know there’s no reason she needs to orgasm every time, especially when she’s literally just discovering this side of herself, but I also feel like I’ve tried different things and nothing really seems to get her there. Sometimes she’ll tell me something feels good, but then it becomes overwhelming pretty quickly, so we stop or switch to something else.

She’s actually been very communicative with me, which I appreciate a lot. The first time we made out and got more physical, she told me the next day that she honestly hadn’t felt that aroused. Whenever something could work better for her, she tells me. I’d much rather have that than have her pretend she’s enjoying something just to protect my feelings.

There is one thing that makes me overthink all of this though.

Before we started dating, when we already knew we liked each other, she told me she wasn’t sexually attracted to me. I’m a really short guy, she’s actually an inch or two taller than me, and physically I’m not really her usual type. Eventually she decided to give me a chance and later told me she regretted saying that to me.
But obviously I remember it lol.
So now when we’re intimate and she tells me she isn’t feeling that aroused, my brain immediately goes back to that conversation. I start wondering whether she genuinely desires me physically or whether she likes me emotionally and romantically but the sexual attraction just isn’t there.
She has also told me she doesn’t want penetrative sex because she’s scared of getting pregnant. I respect that completely and I’m comfortable not doing it. I would never try to convince her otherwise. But because of what she said about attraction before we started dating, sometimes my insecurity connects those two things even though I know her not wanting sex could have absolutely nothing to do with how attractive she finds me.
I also know I have things to work on myself. I can be pretty shy when things actually get intimate. Outside of it I tease and flirt with her all the time, but then she’ll ask me to be more confident or talk more when we’re actually together and suddenly my brain has absolutely nothing to say lol. It’s embarrassing because I’m VERY attracted to this girl, but apparently my brain chooses exactly that moment to shut down.
I really don’t want this to become a situation where every intimate moment feels like a test for me to prove that I can satisfy her. I especially don’t want her feeling like she needs to react a certain way, orgasm, or do anything else just so I feel better about myself.
So what should I actually be doing here?
How do I approach intimacy with her in a way that lets her figure out what she enjoys without accidentally putting pressure on her? Should I talk to her directly about my fear that she still isn’t sexually attracted to me, or would bringing that up just put even more pressure on her? And how do I stop treating her level of arousal as confirmation of whether or not she finds me attractive?
I really like this girl. I want to get better at communicating with her, get out of my own head, and make this something we figure out together rather than something I feel like I have to “succeed” at.

TL;DR: I recently started dating a girl with no previous relationship or intimacy experience. She communicates with me about what she likes, but so far she doesn’t seem to get very aroused when we’re together. Before we dated, she told me she wasn’t sexually attracted to me, so now I’m getting insecure and connecting the two. How should I approach intimacy with her without putting pressure on her, and should I talk to her about my fear that the physical attraction still isn’t there?

Existing Relationship How do I (18F) get out of a situationship where the person is constantly pressuring me for intimacy simply because I make content using my body?.. NSFW

Upvotes

So I am a virgin (hard for some to believe considering I chose to make content). I am in a living situation where i physically can’t get out of the house much to work besides going to and from college. Because of this I am starting to make content on different sites.

There is this one guy who I really liked and am talking to currently, and out of respect for him I had a talk with him about it before starting the content, and he was 100% supportive..but recently he’s gotten weird and pressuring. It went from him wanting PDA (I don’t like it), to him wanting constant kisses, and it’s been growing each time. And every time I pull back he uses the fact I started making content as leverage..

I’m in the UK and unless he’s a real threat I won’t be able to report it and have it be taken seriously, and especially not without my parents finding out because if they do I’d be kicked out..

What do I do?

How do I [30M] talk to my girlfriend [28F] about her personal hygiene? NSFW

Upvotes

Hey ladies, this is a very sensitive and controversial subject that I am trying to approach as respectfully as possible. I’ve been with my girlfriend for almost 8 months now and her vagina more often than not, has an unpleasant smell to it.

I know this can be a very difficult and shifting region to take care of and that a male partner (me) can alter the PH levels causing unpleasant odors. However, we had sex for the first time in a couple weeks last night and it was when she immediately got out of the shower. I pleasured her with her toy for a decent amount of time because I like providing pleasure but I also use this time to see if there is a smell. There was a smell unfortunately, of urine. Not a minor smell of a recent pee but what you smell when you find a soiled pair of underwear that’s been sitting for a few hours. Like stale urine.

This is the first time I’ve noticed it smelling like pee. The others times has been an extensive smell of what I can only assume is body odor, even fresh out of the shower. Look, I know they don’t smell like roses but hers usually smells borderline repulsive (I hate that I used that word but I just want to get my point across).

Before you say, I’m just being a baby and need to be a man and power through it, please know that giving oral is my favorite and I’ve smelled my fair share and haven’t been bothered. My girlfriend’s odor isn’t at a bearable level unfortunately.

I do want to make mention that her parents were very absent when raising her and everything she knows, she’s had to learn on her own. So this makes me think she doesn’t entirely know how to clean herself properly and obviously I don’t know how women should either. I know it’s a very delicate area that only certain soaps are allowed to be used in but that’s the extent of my knowledge.

Also may need to mention that she has a full bush that is kept rather nicely. This doesn’t bother me at all, I like a nice bush.

Now that I’ve probably made myself sound like an ignorant D bag, here’s my question: How do I bring this up to her? I don’t think my concern is completely rooted in my own selfishness because there are times where her smell concerns me of her own personal health and if she’s not taking care of herself properly, how will she/we know what to do with our daughter if we have children someday.

I truly mean no offense and I apologize if I should’ve worded this more tactfully and respectfully.

Much thanks,

Existing Relationship I (F25) am unsure if I should break up with my boyfriend (M25) over him sexting with male strangers online NSFW

Upvotes

Need some perspective here because I can't really discuss it with anyone in my personal life.

I've been with my boyfriend for almost 6 years and even before we were together I had a crush on him for years. We live together and spend a ton of time together, and all of this makes it really hard for me to make up my mind.

Last year while my boyfriend was showing me something on his phone, he received a Reddit DM notification which is how I found out he had a secret account for sexual conversations with random anonymous men. He told me he did this to figure out more about his sexuality, and didn't tell me about it because he felt like this was something for himself and also that I wouldn't be able to help with it. He told me he would ask strangers for dick pics, and that he'd respond to them with his thoughts on the pictures. He also said he mostly did this as an outlet and to just masturbate but didn't feel any deeper emotional connection to it. I was honestly pretty shocked and didn't know how to feel about it. I felt since I am a woman, that I can't offer him the same things as a man and therefore I could understand it and live with it better. I was also hesitant to call it cheating because he didn't do anything physical and he said he always kept the conversations anonymous, deleting them afterwards. I asked him how many times he did this and how far back, but he kept slightly changing his answer. When I asked to see the dates of his DM's, he panicked and deleted the whole account immediately.

We talked about this a lot and I felt angry about it for a long time but eventually forgave him. I did make it clear to him I felt uncomfortable with him talking sexually to anyone that wasn't me, and we agreed he'd stop doing it. Months went by and I didn't really think about it anymore.

Then, one day, he was showing me something on his phone again. When I went to close his apps I saw he had Discord open on a channel I didn't recognize. I asked what it was and he said it was a channel for an NSFW game where people could keep track of updates. I knew he played those sorts of games and trusted him, so I didn't bother to look it up.

4 Months later we had a conversation about NSFW games and I remembered the name of this Discord channel. I got curious and googeled it, but apart from one totally SFW game the only other mention of this name on Discord was for a channel where guys could masturbate together and exchange nudes. When I told my boyfriend about this, he acted surprised and told me the channel he was on was for this videogame. I asked multiple times if he was sure and he kept insisting, even said he felt offended I would even think he'd be in some masturbation group.

I happened to remember the date I saw the channel for the first time since it was on a holiday, and I did feel suspicious of him, so I asked him to show me the date he joined this game channel. He went along all the way while trying to make excuses for why he couldn't log in or show me but I didn't let up. Only right before he had to show me did he finally admit he'd been in the masturbation server all along. He'd panicked when I first saw the channel and he quickly joined a different server with the same name (the one for this SFW videogame) so he could show me that one in case I ever asked.

I felt sick it had taken me 4 months to even look this server up knowing I could've found out way sooner. I also felt sick he went to this length to hide it from me and even when I did ask him directly, he doubled down on lying about it until he literally couldn't hide it anymore. I feel like the first time I found out about this I set a pretty straightforward boundary, and him disrespecting it without ever telling me upsets me so bad. He clearly didn't agree with my boundary but he also never communicated this with me, saying he didn't want to because 'I wouldn't have agreed to it anyway.' So he decided it was best to do this in secret and hoping his urge to do it would eventually just go away. He really frames this whole thing as something he struggles with and needs to find out while also not wanting to lose me and our relationship.

Everyone in my personal life knows him and we even share a lot of the same friends from high school, which makes it so I can't really discuss this with anyone. Even the first time this happened, I never told anybody about it and decided for myself I wanted to forgive him. Now my thoughts and feelings are just all over the place and I seriously want to know what other people would do in this situation. Would you see this as cheating? I can't even decide on that for sure. I just feel so conflicted because I understand his urge to explore his sexuality, but also feel it's deeply unfair how he went about this and acts like he couldn't tell me because he feels I would've had a bad reaction to it. I just really want some outside advice or opinions on this because my mind feels so clouded and I can't talk to anybody IRL without exposing something about my boyfriend that he doesn't want anyone to know.

How do I (19 F) deal with an overwhelming desire for love that kind of consumes me. NSFW

Upvotes

I’ve never been in a relationship. Ive only ever spoken to one guy but he was lowkey evil and I don’t think I ever really loved him.

Almost all the people in my life, including both my older siblings and my friends and cousins my age have boyfriends or just someone in general. And especially when i go out with my siblings, and they’re together with their partners, I just feel this gut wrenching feeling because I want that too.

I wouldn’t say I’m overly insecure about what I look like, but my friends and some family members I go out with, they’re such beautiful people internally and externally. So when we go out, and we’re together, they get attention. I don’t know, it’s not that I particularly want that attention, but the fact that it seems to happen to everyone other than me kinda makes me feel like there’s something wrong with me.

I’m trying hard to pour into myself. I’m in therapy, and I’m working through my own personal issues, but there’s just something inside of me that cannot shift this feeling. I know I’m 19, and I’ll have more life experiences, but I just want to know is there something I can do to make these feelings lessen. I just feel really confused :(

20M. How do I stop constantly chasing girls/love and validation, and become comfortable focusing on myself? NSFW

Upvotes

I’m a college student studying CSE, and I’ve noticed a pattern in myself: I’m always trying to find a girlfriend or get a girl’s attention. Whenever I like a girl, I immediately start thinking about how to impress her or “patana” her.

Even after rejection, I sometimes move on to another girl and repeat the same cycle. I want to focus on my studies, career, fitness, and personal growth, but I feel like I’m constantly looking for love or validation.

Women, what do you think causes this behavior, and what would you suggest a guy do to break this habit? How can I interact with women normally without always seeing them as potential romantic interests?

I genuinely want to become more confident and comfortable being single rather than making finding a girlfriend my main goal.

Existing Relationship Partner (26f) and i (29m) Might Break Up After 5 Years Over Circumcision Dispute NSFW

Upvotes

So, as the title says, my partner (26f) and i (29m) cant seem to agree on whether or not to circumcise our future children. We have been together for 5 years now and have always talked about having children. She has said many times over the years that she didnt want children until she met me.

In the beginning of our relationship, I had mentioned that i thought our future kids should be circumcised because I didnt want them to be ridiculed/embarrassed of their body part. I am circumcised, so its not like that came from personal experience or anything, I was just repeating what others had said in the past. I was young and had limited knowledge on the subject. My partner agreed and life went on.

However, over the last 5 years, ive grown quite a bit and my initial opinion shifted. This is where the problems come in. The Idea of putting my own baby (let alone any baby...) under the knife as soon as they are brought into this world scares the hell out of me. Sure, I dont remember my own surgery because I WAS LITERALLY JUST BORN!!! but thats not the point. New mothers/father's are told how important skin to skin contact is directly after birth, yet the hospital tries to take your child away immediately after and cut the tip of their penis with NO ANESTHESIA?!? There is no way in hell that it doesn't have some sort of negative affect on the baby later in life... I just dont believe it.

My partner claims there are health benefits to getting it done (which im absolutely not denying) as well as makes the penis physically more appealing when interacting with future partners. Both very fair and understandable points. The Last thing I want is my future child not getting their "fair share" just because of how their member looks.... another point made was that if a man has to medically get circumcised as an adult, the recover can be brutal or even botched. I know this is a possibility, but how often are grown men actually being told they need to do this?

From what I understand, it seems like a stigma thing rather than a medical advantage... from what I read, it reduces the risk of UTI in men from 1 in 100 (uncircumcised) to 1 in 1000 (circumcised) which is a difference of .01% vs. 1%. Personally, id risk my child having a 1% chance of getting a UTI and NOT having the have a piece of his body cut off as soon as he enters the world.

Last thing I want to add is going to sound a little conspiracy theoryish, but in the current global climate, I feel as though its valid. WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING WITH THE FORESKIN??? Ive seen some horrible things online about how hospitals sell the foreskin to some shady "businesses" to do god knows what with... I genuinely hope they dispose of it as medical waste, but ive heard that the hospital will give you push back if, as the parent, you request to take your child's foreskin home. That seems very fishy to me..

My partner and I have been arguing pretty much everyday since this discussion was opened. Once it starts, it ruins the whole night, even if we dont continue talking about it. I feel as though im building a resentment from her because im not backing down on this.

My opinions have changed before and I am willing to be the bigger man if I am wrong, but I just feel as though she wont listen to anything I say because ive "never had an uncircumcised c*** in my mouth before" even though I am literally a man and have lack of sensitivity issues down there...

Im not sure if I need advice on how to relay information without starting another fight, or medical information on the pros vs. Cons, but I will take any and all opinions!

Thank you in advance!

Ex Relationship 25F How to get over being in an abusive relationship and learning to trust again NSFW

Upvotes

Last year I (25F) was in an abusive relationship. He (24M) stalked, gaslit, lied, and stole personal pictures of me. The entire experience was incredibly traumatic and broke me for a long time. I’ve been in therapy and have been doing a lot of work to rebuild my mental health and I thought I was ready to date again, however I just can’t.

I’ve been on group dates and met some guys but all I feel is annoyance with them. I just see how they could eventually hurt me and it’s even worse when they start talking. It doesn’t help that on social media all i see is man after man abusing and degrading women while saying it’s our fault. I don’t like this. I know this isn’t every man, but I feel like my trust has been so eroded.

How do I get over this? I want to fully move on and stop this anger inside me. I wish I could just forget everything that happened.

Friendship Whats the best way to tell my friend (F21) that I (M21) have feelings for her while preserving our friendship if she does not feel the same way? NSFW

Upvotes

I saw Sarah and she caught my eye since day. The problem is we are in the same group that hangs out everyday ( Alex M21 her best friend for 3 years and also a my best friend for a year, Mark M22, Luke M21 and Emma F25 my best friend for 2 years ).

She never had a boyfriend and she is a bit avoidant. Mark tried to put in her mind that she needs to be with and he was to pushy and that backfired, she became distant and eventually i became closer to her again. Emma tried talking with her and she told her that she does not feel that way towards me, she never felt loving someone and she is not sure if she is wrong, afraid of emotions and makes her feel uncomfortable and that nobody will love her for who she is.

Alex spoke with her, but he just told she does not feel that way unlucky.

Luke spoke with her 2 weeks ago and she told him that Mark tries made her uncomfortable and that is what pushed her away and that she is still not sure.

I never tried talking with her about the relationship.

Existing Relationship Do I tell him I'm on birth control? Is it trust or just the mature thing? (20F) NSFW

Upvotes

My boyfriend and I (both early 20s) have been using condoms ever since we started having sex earlier this year. Around then, we had a condom break, and I got extremely paranoid about pregnancy (I've always been paranoid), and started on birth control. This really helped with my anxiety, but I still haven't told him I'm on it. Recently we happened to have unprotected sex (everything was fine) and I started wondering if I should tell him or say I'll go on bc so we can keep doing it in the future. I asked some trusted people for advice and they said no, don't have unprotected sex because what if he cheats on you and you get an STI/STD? I don't know whether this is a reasonable worry or not, because I've heard of plenty of other people who don't use condoms. We've been together about 7 months, so not a very long time, but in a normal, healthy, committed relationship. Still I don't want to be naive and someday have some scary consequence happen and a "oh I should've...." moment.

I guess I'm leaning toward the safer side and to continue as normal and not tell him. And no more unprotected sex. Yes? No? I have no idea...

Is my late 20s too late to start going out and experiencing life? (19F) NSFW

Upvotes

Im 19 years old and i have very religious and conservative parents and since i live in a small town and gossip reaches every ear, i have never done anything rebellious to hurt the reputation of my family: baggy clothes that reveal nothing, no boyfriends or male friends, no parties or friends that have a “reputation“, i am considered a great influence and a great kid by most adults. I did all of this in the hope that when it came time for me to go to university they would let me move far away because i have always been a “good kid that would never do that kind of stuff” and i could kind of figure out who i am without the judging eyes of my community and have normal experiences that kids my age already have done, nothing crazy just dress a little stylish without worrying if someone is judging and gossiping because of how much skin i am showing and party whenever. Turns out that my parents unfortunately cannot afford such expenses so i will do college in a town near and live with them till i get my degree (26yo since i'm going in medicine). Do not get me wrong i am extremely grateful that my parents are helping me out by allowing me to keep studying and living with them but i also want to live and experience stuff like everyone else, even the girls in my community change outside to dress scantily and sneak out to parties, their parents are not as controlling about their reputation as mine, since my parents have a “leading” role in the community so they must lead by example, also kids my age can be sneaky more easily unlike me who is unfortunately known by most adults since my father has so many connections and would immediately get caught .

I know that i have my whole life ahead of me and giving some of my youth years away to be independent in the long run and possibly move to a different country is 100% worth it, but i can’t help but to feel like by the time i will be able to do what i want i will be too old, i mean a 27yo in the club? a 27 yo having her first relationship? isn’t it awkward? and would some people think that is embarrassing and make fun of me, will make it harder to make friends or have partners? I honestly already feel left out now, i feel like a kid when my friends talk about their first time doing it or how they got sooo drunk last weekend and im scared that this feeling will follow me into adulthood.

Ex Relationship What do I even say, and how do I even begin to navigate this bs with my and my ex both (22) ?! NSFW

Upvotes

I 22(F) got out of a relationship about 3 years ago, it was great until it wasn’t. A few days before he broke up with me he told me he was moving away which I accepted that, until he started acting weird. He started to act sneaky, wouldn’t answer my calls and just started to act weird, started being a little bit mean then he breaks up with me and gets in a relationship shortly after our break up. It made me question myself for a long time wondering where I went wrong and I reached out 2024 for clarity which he never responded.

This morning he requested my instagram and sent me the following message:

“Ik you messaged me a minute ago and I didn’t respond just to give you the space.

God layed it on my heart to apologize and I just wanted to genuinely say sorry for how things played out and everything that happened in my control. No excuses.

I hope you’ve had the time to heal and find room to forgive those who hurt you.

That’s it’s that’s all.”

Apart of me wants to forgive and forget and the other part of me wants to unleash all the years of anger I misdirected at myself onto him but I chose not to respond out of the sheer fact that he came to me calm. I absolutely think his apology is full of shit though and he’s decided to apologize to me while being with the same girl he left me for. What would your response/reaction be to a message like this? I genuinely don’t know how to feel

Misc does it matter if I (27F) shave my bikini line for a spray tan? NSFW

Upvotes

I am getting married in a couple months and managed to line up my makeup trial on the same day I’m doing my boudoir photoshoot.

I am also getting a spray tan 3 days before as a trial for the makeup and the photo shoot. I have never had a spray tan before.

I know I need to exfoliate and shave my legs at least 24 hours prior to my spray tan. But here’s the thing I’m worried about. I’m going to shave my coochie and bikini line for the photoshoot instead of getting waxed. I was going to shave down there the day of the photoshoot so it looks the best and I have no razor bumps.

The spray tan is 3 days before this. So now I am left with the choice of being in a thong with a full bush as someone spray tans me. This thought is so embarrassing to me and I can’t stop thinking about it. Also is shaving after the spray tan going to be an issue and look weird in my pictures?

Do people that give spray tans care about that?? Am I overthinking this?

27F — Older man at my gym repeatedly watches me and gets into my personal space. How should I handle this? NSFW

Upvotes

I’m 27F and there’s a creepy man at my gym who looks to be in his 50s. One day I was on the lateral pull down machine and he was using the other side of the machine and I noticed he just stood there watching me work out the entire time and was barely doing his own work out. I ignored him and went to the leg raising machine. He followed me over there and was “cheering” me on as I was working out. It was kind weird because I’ve never seen this man before and I’m not sure why he’s acting like he knows me. After I got down from the machine he approached me, asked for my name and told me he “sees me every day” because we live in neighboring buildings. He kept trying to talk to me throughout my workout, asked what days I usually come to the gym, and watched me while I exercised, and suggested that we work out together sometime. I was friendly because I didn’t want to be rude, but I wasn’t interested and kept my answers about my schedule vague. I also noticed he would always work out in areas where he can see me.

One time when I was talking to someone I knew, he suddenly appeared right behind me. It spooked me a little bit I didn’t think much of it. Another time, as I was leaving the gym, he yelled my name across the entire gym. I barely acknowledged him and kept walking. I’ve also ignored him when he’s yelled my name while sitting outside his building.

Today, he saw me walking past his building before I went to the gym, and about 30 minutes later he showed up at the gym. I don’t know whether that was a coincidence, so I don’t want to assume. But once there, he again worked out where he could see me and I caught him staring at me between sets.

Recently he stopped trying to speak to me, but the staring/proximity hasn’t stopped. While I was sharing a leg-raise machine with several other people. I was standing by the machine waiting my turn while on my phone. He came to join in and after his set, despite having plenty of space to walk in a different direction he chose to get extremely and uncomfortably close to me while I was on my phone. He was so close that his chest was basically touching my phone. I had to pull my phone back and I looked up at him because I thought he was approaching to speak to me. He wasn’t. Instead he proceeded to get uncomfortably close to me every single time he hopped off the leg raising machine.

What concerns me more is that I’ve recently started seeing him hanging around directly in front of my building even though he lives in the building next door. When I was heading back to my building he was shirtless walking around in front of my building. When he saw me, he sped up toward my direction and then stood there intensely watching me walk into my building.

He hasn’t threatened me, touched me, or followed me into my building, so I don’t want to overreact. I also vary what times I go to the gym and thankfully I’ve never seen him when I come home late at night. But the combination of him constantly watching me, getting unnecessarily close to my body, previously asking about my schedule, and now hanging around in front of my building is starting to make me uncomfortable. Since he leaves in the building next door to me.

Im kind of scared to say anything to the staff at my gym because he lives in the building next door to mine.
Can any women give me advice on what they would do in this situation?

UPDATE: I told the gym today and before I could finish telling the fully story they already knew who I was talking about and said he has been very aggressive toward staff members and he has a long list of complaints from other women in the gym. They said my complaint was pretty much the last straw for him and they will look into suspending him or banning him. I have his full name so I will make a police report as well!
