Unsolved Can’t pay with gift card in the appstore
Hiya, I’m in a family group on apple and the ‘head‘ of this group has their card assigned to all payments. Obviously I don’t want to pay with my family Members card and I don’t even have the code if I wanted to, so I bought an apple giftcard. I redeemed it on my account in the AppStore and it says I have a £10 balance if I check my profile, but if I go to purchase any app it tries to get me to verify the purchase by putting in the cvc for the card and if I go back and try to select the balance method of paying I just can’t click on it or redeem it at all…
im so confused, anyone know how I can force it to use the balance on my App Store :-(

Are you a minor or adult? On iOS 26.4 and up you should be able to use your own payment method separate from that of the organizer (assuming you are an adult) without needing him or her to turn off purchase sharing.
