I mean that's probably not too far off for what will happen if someone does attack a data center considering who benefits from them, and that's probably the scariest part.

u/PopBulky7023 5h ago

And largely because people will convict them. We really don't have each other's backs and then wonder why no one does anything.

u/ihatechildren665 2h ago

FR it aint against the law for a jury (in the US of A) to give a not guilty verdict for someone who is 110% with a 10% margine of error guilty. In fact its happened multiple times with people being outraged about it.

u/Distinct-Raspberry21 10m ago

Luigi would like a word.

u/PopBulky7023 10m ago

Who plead guilty because he suspected no chance at trial.

u/Distinct-Raspberry21 6m ago

Who plead guilty because he had already claimed credit. He was always going to plead guilty. However there are constant arguments for freeing him, and he easily became a cultural icon.

u/Superior173thescp 5h ago

uhhhhhh What did they say about being the most oppressed?

u/Severe_Damage9772 5h ago

They are simultaneously the most oppressed and most powerful people, and their opponents are simultaneously the most destructive and the weakest

Common technique used to manipulate populations

u/Superior173thescp 5h ago

literary equivalent of a feigned retreat.

u/IntelligentCat3645 5h ago

Classic Bubblers…

u/AstralMecha 4h ago

That is a core component of fascism. The belief that your enemies are an all powerful conspiracy while at the same time weak , pathetic and ripe to be defeated by real (insert nationality/gender/race/creed of your choice).

u/PatchesOfSilver 3h ago

If I had scrolled down a teensy bit further (literally your comment was visible but I didn't read) I wouldn't have had to made mine, lol.

Yeah it's definitely a sign of a spiral into evil authoritarianism at the very least as a stepping stone to fascism, even if it doesn't start fascist outright.

In THIS case the fascism is the point, see Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, and even the pro-AI subreddits actively praise the Nazis...

u/Superior173thescp 1h ago

fascism does have one core trait in my definition (and closest to original)

Ultranationalism. It needs Ultranationalism. But they are if the AI runs the government.

They do sound like one though with such zeal and fury

u/PatchesOfSilver 3h ago

And more importantly one of the red flags that someone is spiraling into fascism or equivalently tyrannical authoritarianism (which usually ALSO leads directly into fascism).

"Enemy both weak and strong" is the mindset of the morally degenerate.

u/Imperialnoodles 5h ago

They fantasize abt this shit. Proving again people who use ai use their imagination for the most pointless shit

u/dumnezero 5h ago

They're certainly not beating the fascist vibes.

u/synth_mania 3h ago

Calling people fascists just because you disagree politically or philosophically is ridiculous

u/DataCassette 3h ago

They're enthusiastically backing a technology that many of its owners want to use to end democracy. It's one thing to nervously and carefully proceed with AI because it's got legitimate uses, ( I literally have to use it for work, zero choice ) but being hyper enthusiastic about AI is a yellow flag for potential sympathy with tech fascism.

Counterpoints:

  • Peter Thiel.
  • Donald Trump.
  • Turning Point USA.
  • Netanhayu.
  • The Heritage Foundation.
  • Make America Great Again (the political movement that has successfully elected politicians in Australia and Canada, to be clear; that MAGA, the red-hatted USA one).
  • Elon Musk.
  • LITERALLY THE MODERATORS OF AI SUBREDDITS PRAISING THE NAZIS.
  • Project 2025.

We are NOT calling them fascists "just because" anything, let alone because they're in a separate political or philosophical party.

We're calling them fascists because they are actively practicing fascism and openly supporting Hitler, considering the Nazis to have been brilliant and amazing, and are neck-deep in plans to introduce increasing amounts of fascism.

They suck, they're evil, and they belong in the worst prison on the planet for the rest of their days.

It's totally fine to criticize an organization for active fascism, don't be a TOTAL OLIGARCH-SHIT-SUCKING MORON, you know it's not "Wahhhhhhh opposing political parties, I'm gonna call them fascists".

You're trying to deflect from the fact that they are ACTIVELY SLAUGHTERING MILLIONS OF PEOPLE IN THE NAME OF FASCISM RIGHT NOW.

They're Nazis.

---

Edit: and using such a bad-faith dismissal to defend Nazis makes YOU suspect as well, I'm not going to say you ARE one; but I'm skeptical of anyone that defends vocal fascists with such logical fallacies.

If you ARE a fascist, please do us all a favor and leave our planet; in a peaceful way if you want, just get on the next outbound rocket and stay on Pluto.

No one benefits from a fascist being present, they are evil incarnate.

u/synth_mania 3h ago

What? I'm not defending fascists, nor was I trying to get into partisan politics. I was trying to point out that "pro AI people" aren't a monolith, and certainly don't deserve that label broadly.

u/PatchesOfSilver 2h ago

When every single one of them is neck-deep in it, they're like sitting voluntarily at a bar with Nazis.

An adage much older than AI, by the way.

Which part of these tech billionaires isn't either an outright fascist or deeply into absolutely vicious authoritarianism?

Which one of their sycophant pro-AI followers isn't justifying all kinds of crime and abuses?

It's a pretty massive tell that the entire movement and everyone in it is explicitly comfortable co-existing with the pedophile fascists.

To the point EVERY AI community defends that behavior, including the generation of CSAM.

The line between "really wants these fascists to control the world and is amazingly comfortable with the world becoming fascist using their power" and "fascist yourself" is nonexistent.

Like happily drinking in a Nazi bar.

PS: This is especially true when the moderators and authorities in these Reddit communities explicitly praise the Nazis in their own words. We didn't make them do that, they just REALLY like fascism.

u/dumnezero 3h ago

That is not my reasoning, but points for trying to write without a LLM.

u/synth_mania 3h ago

"fascist vibes" is the same thing. The hedging doesn't change the intent.

And yeah, I never write with an LLM unless it's something I truly don't care about.

u/dumnezero 2h ago

Thanks for clarifying what you are.

u/meowcat767 3h ago

using ai is rediculious

u/synth_mania 3h ago

calling it "fascist" dilutes the term, and makes you look incredibly unserious. Just a bad look

u/Capn_H 2h ago

The problem here is there's levels to this shit. Like, if someone thinks capitalism is salvageable or that the current design ethos of cars is not an affront to public health and safety, that's a reasonable discussion to have.

When you've got people doing nazi salutes on stage at political rallies and actively trying to rewrite history to remove people of color and queer people even when their contributions were massive for saving lives and ending wars with less casualties, with police forces beholden to none of the people they interact with that don't have to identify themselves and can shoot people entirely freely, detaining people for months and months without ever seeing a trial and actively preventing those trials from being conducted by arresting a required interpreter for multiple languages, and Losing Children In The Process, there's not really an excuse.

Like, I dunno man, maybe the country that the nazis took inspiration from that never really dealt with the baggage of our horrible past including multiple genocides and calls our horrible civil war a states rights issue when the rights in question were the right to own slaves has some problems or something. Maybe there's something wrong when we've been on watch for potentially gearing up for genocide against trans people for like two years. Maybe the people talking about us never needing to vote again were being actually for serious about it like they were serious about dismantling every other part of our government, and maybe the tech oligarchs funding them are also into that. Just maybe. Y'know. It could be a possibility.

u/Vegetable-Edge-2389 9m ago

Ahh the old "they agree with me, they can't be fascist"

u/readilyunavailable 6m ago

Homie, wanting to put people in prison en masse, because they disagree with you is the definition of facism.

u/Resident_Driver_5342 5h ago

The missing panel of this comic is the part where society collapses because everyone who can think and has skills is imprisoned now.

u/Superior173thescp 5h ago

remember. people who make blueprints are artists technically

u/Environmental_Top948 5h ago

Big concrete cube future plastered with AI art.

u/ahhaga 4h ago

Yup. Anyone ever notice the only anti-data center people are White people? Seems like no one else really cares.

u/G-M-Cyborg-313 4h ago

In my experience lots of people from different ethnicities and cultures have problems with gen-ai

u/Jack-Singer-999 3h ago

🙄🖕🏽

u/Scarvexx 4h ago

"We're going to built a datacenter that ruins your town. And if you protest you're going to prison" is not an own. It's fucking horiffic.

Why do they chose AI over people? They're people, did they forget?

u/thecraftybear 3h ago

Quisling mentality

u/Ryaniseplin 5h ago

this is exactly what would happen because the government defends them, because the government serves capital

u/Comprehensive_Head82 5h ago

I mean if they wanted to talk about AI related arrests do badly they should have just said so.

But something tells me they won't like talking about this one over their fake made up scenario. This news article is from Europol BTW so it's actually reliable.

https://www.europol.europa.eu/media-press/newsroom/news/25-arrested-in-global-hit-against-ai-generated-child-sexual-abuse-material

u/PopBulky7023 5h ago

Jesus christ these people are genuinely evil.

u/ihatechildren665 1h ago

Huh the villian shaped villain is a villain? Who could have thunked that one

u/Hidden-Inventory-420 44m ago

I love that in their world the VILLAINS advocate for humanity over profits......

u/PlayrR3D15 4h ago

"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable" -JFK

u/Mysterious_Eye6989 4h ago

Fascists once again openly fantasizing about fascist shit.

u/HurtsSoNice 5h ago

Just swarm in enough numbers that can’t arrest everyone, or blame anyone over anyone else. Then don’t post online bragging about it like many of the Jan 6th inbreds

u/HurtsSoNice 5h ago

Get enough people, and even an FBI SWAT team can be overwhelmed and torn to shreds by the mob

u/Environmental_Top948 5h ago

If there's too many to arrest they're going to just pull a Bloody Sunday.

u/Jappa_dev 5h ago

And they're on the side of the FBI here?

u/Gustave_Kateb 4h ago

Just gotta love this logic ! So you mean that resistance and opposition to an oppressive regime for example is bad just because it is a crime ? Oh I know on which side of history those guys would've been

u/xXArctracerXx 2h ago

Says a lot that that they think someone holding up a sign that says. “Humanity not profits.” Is the bad guy.

u/DataCassette 3h ago

These people haven't looked at any public opinion polling about this and you can tell 😂

u/RetroSleipnir 2h ago

Wut, I think they should realize this isn't happening?

u/baconDood3000 1h ago

They're not beating the fascist allegations

u/DecentLeftovers 57m ago

Lol two of the prisoners have the same number

u/VarietyMage 4h ago

The idiot pic author forgot all the guns.

u/gauze_for_skylarks 3h ago

this is giving the vibes of that AI video put up by Ben-Gvir. pieces of shit in a pod, I suppose.

u/Neutral-7020 23m ago

??? What. ???

u/thedarkinus 0m ago

Ai bros when they also get locked up. “ Wait a minute, I’m supposed to be a slop streamer not work in the gulag??”

u/ConstantinGB 5h ago

Hallucinating? That's literally how it's going.

u/Ok_Confusion4764 5h ago

What? Where?

u/CardboardboxFan4444 48m ago

if you mean that people are getting arrested for just speaking out against AI data centers then you are right

u/Scifox69 22m ago

Sure.
