Crazy how there is a whole subreddit dedicated to stealing art, yall are not real artists and will never be until you stop asking computers to do it for you and pick up a pen and do it yourself.

An elegant oil-on-canvas painting of a blonde woman in her mid-to-late 20s picking ripe cherries from a beautiful cherry tree in a sunlit countryside orchard. She wears a simple vintagerustic apron, and a flowing ankle-length skirt. She is gently gathering the cherries she has already picked into a small woven basket held against her waist. Warm natural sunlight, soft pastoral atmosphere, realistic classical painting technique, rich oil-paint texture, expressive brushstrokes, tasteful composition, Renaissance-inspired countryside aesthetic, highly detailed, museum-quality artwork.

I’m curious about this from the creative side, not just the technical consistency side.
You can get a face to stay pretty consistent with references, LoRAs, editing, etc. But that still doesn’t necessarily make the character memorable.
For anyone here who has been working with the same character for a while, what made it start feeling like an actual character instead of just a consistent-looking person?
Was it the personality? A recurring outfit? The way you write them? Certain settings or expressions? A story around them?
And did you find yourself changing the visual design once you’d used the character enough?
I see a lot of really good individual AI images, but I’m more interested in what makes somebody recognize a character again a week later.

I’ve been experimenting with ChatGPT image generation, and these genuinely surprised me. The character designs, armor details, skin/hair texture, lighting, reflections on the metal, and consistency across the group shot are way better than I expected.
Still plenty of little imperfections if you stare long enough, but the jump in quality is kind of insane. ChatGPT absolutely cooked with these.
iColor: this is a favorite design that has evolved many times over. It started as a black silhouette to what it is now.

As late summer slips toward autumn, a beautiful ancient orchard unleashes a violent vortex of leaves while its trees bend toward a lone stranger, revealing that the landscape itself may be alive—and watching.
