Theodul glacier crossing conditions

I'm planning to hike from Zermatt to Theodulhütte but I'm wondering about the glacier conditions. Has anyone crossed the Theodul glacier recently? What are the current conditions like?

It was easy walking a week ago. We used microspikes - no ropes or axes.
