MOST EUROPEANIST Some European propaganda

Post image

In light of the recent result in Saxony-Anhalt, I thought it worthwhile to keep our spirits up! (poster made by me/original content)

I personally think that propagating the specific benefits of Europe is the way to go in making people view Europe in a positive light. Like for instance:

  • work and life where you want,
  • no waiting at the border on holiday,
  • no unexpected roaming charges for mobile phone,
  • easy cross border business,
  • the tons of projects that are paid by European funds (list them separately),
  • no exchange rate surprises.

Would be good to highlight these in specific campaigns as at the moment only some negatives are highlighted by the pro-Russian right wing parties.

all this good, but if Europe doesn't become federation (or call it whatever you want) - it's cooked, it has no future.
20+ countries separated, not having real integration is not competitive on global stage. This is the time when either Europe truly unites to win together, or falls apart and becomes bitches and vassals to big players, while perceiving each own "sovereignty". Many Europeans have their own "grandeur" about their kinda "great history" and don't understand that history doesn't pay bills, doesn't build factories and businesses, and doesn't protect your borders, and in reality these countries become small ones on global stage, who pretend to be big, not being big in reality. This national agenda of being pride of former glory is stupid.

Most people will agree that there are things to improve on for the EU; as is in any system. However, I believe that criticism is the norm at the moment and specific improvements in people’s daily life’s are extremely under represented.

The trend I advocate against is to concentrate only on the negatives, as it will lead to (further) diminished support and may in the end lead to disbandment of the EU. That would leave little to improve on.

I believe a more productive approach is to clearly propagate the positives and in conjunction with those discuss improvements.

yes that makes sense, to highlight positives

you could look at what I said this way: if Europe is divided, it has no future. So the very fact that united Europe has a future is already something positive

Let's not forget the biggest benefit of all; united we can stand up to billion dollar corporations to which nation states would need to bow down.
