Who are those people over there who have the audacity not to be paying attention to me?

"Beautiful lunatic" is my favourite description of a husky or husky wolf X. Also: "That squirrell is already dead" "How do I extract the cheese from the hooman?" "4d Chess"

God that hits hard. Stunning. But the eyes brought back my boy Tucker so strongly. Scary smart, knew what I felt before I did. He anticipated what I wanted in a given situation to a scary degree. I had absence seizures for about 8 years from head injury when I was a medic. Tucker was a seizure alert dog WITHOUT ANY TRAINING. He had been warning me of impending seizures for years before my neurologist made the connection. I used mostly hand signals as he rarely needed verbal commands. Majestic, regal, gentle, totally approachable without being needy. Strangers pulled over to meet him any time we were in public. He loved kittens and especially human children above all. BUT He also had this absolute doofus streak that was a joy to behold. It's like his brain just shut off and he got this side eye smart / crazy look your dog reminded me of so much it made me cry a bit. They look nothing alike but the eyes brought Tucker back so strongly. I called it "grenade mode" because something insane and explosive was bout to transpire. It could be a simple zoom or a play overture, but usually involved a lot of vocalization and prancing to get whatever it was he wanted. Often that was to find one of his stuffed animals or go pick out a new one, he was almost indifferent to food. Anyway, sorry for going on so long but your absolutely gorgeous boy brought him back so strongly. We had incredible 19 years together. I miss him savagely every single day, but I know he's waiting for me. He went out from a heart attack one week before his 20th birthday, chasing a squirrel like the beautiful lunatic he was. I sat with him, he wasn't alone. (He had four total knee replacements @ 12 and was running, REALLY running, full speed like a four year old 10 weeks later. Vet thinks his insane level of cardio health is why he lived to nearly 20. Best money I ever spent)

Hello friend, thank you for sharing more with us about Tucker. (Ticker would be good too!) My heart goes out to you, he was your spirit animal and he hasn't left you, he is just in a different realm we can't see but he is still with you. I have thought of you often and and wanted to say you gave him more than most human children receive in terms of love, devotion, medical care, your life. Take heart, you will see him again someday and he does not want you to be sad but rather to remember all the joy you brought to each other.
