๐ต๐ธ ๐๏ธ Crafty Witches New wreath for a new home.
Iโm in the process of cleaning out my grandparentsโ house with the plan to buy it from my parents. Iโm trying to figure out what to do about the energy of the house. My mom finds it draining. I just think it feels empty.
Today I invited a friend and my mom over to make wreaths and bring joy and laughter into the home.
If anyone has other suggestions on how to bring this home back to life, Iโm open to ideas!

๐ต๐ธ ๐๏ธ Coven Counsel Afterlife advice? (TW: existentialism/Thanatophobia)
Ever since I was a child Iโve had a crippling fear in my own mortality. I wake up with night terrors screaming and try to avoid all topics of time and space. I was raised atheist and no amount of spirituality exploration or therapy has led me away from my severe anxiety and feeling of impending doom. As Iโve gotten older Iโve started to explore spirituality more in the form of witchcraft. The panic attacks are a lot less frequent, but just as severe when they do happen. Iโve learned how to disassociate to make it through, but itโs an ever looming presence and the fixes feel so temporary.
I guess Iโd love to hear all of your thoughts on afterlife to see if something resonates with me. I would love to be convinced that Iโm wrong about returning to nothingness. I keep being told that I wonโt have to worry when it happens. That either I wonโt know or that I was nothing before so itโll be fine. BUT itโs not. In the moment I spiral so bad my chest gets tight and I canโt breathe. I can only cry and wait for the it to pass. I donโt want to keep living in fear.

๐ต๐ธ ๐๏ธ Media Magic Female content for little girls
Hello my fellow witches! My daughter (6F) loves YouTube videos where people create wild things, do big things, or do fun trips. Such as CrunchLab, Hangtime, Dantic, unspeakable, Etc. we watch them together. None of them have females that are involved with the actual activity. They have their wives and children sitting prettily to the side, but not any in the chaos with them. This morning she noticed and commented that they are all boys.
I found an old thread on here that had female YouTubers, but most of them were content above her current level. Do you know of any female content creators that do things like a giant bubble bath with 500 bath bombs, build a roller coaster, compare water slides, make the biggest elephant toothpaste etc.
Thank you so much!
*edit to add: also open to queer and POC creators. Mostly not white middle aged men.

๐ต๐ธ ๐๏ธ Crafty Witches Iโm not even done adding touches to my new hat and Iโm loving it.
After oh so many trials and errors, I finally have my hat pattern down. I just finished the hat base and then made the tie, leaves and pumpkins last night. I wore it out and about today and I am so in love. I donโt think I have ever been this happy with anything I have ever made. I had to sport my witch ducky earrings that I found at Spirit and the shirt my mom got me from Torrid.

๐ต๐ธ ๐๏ธ Crystals, Minerals, & Rocks One of the most beautiful crystals/pieces of jewellery Iโve ever seen
I bought this from a local artist over the weekend. Itโs rainbow fluorite. Iโve been having a really rough time lately with a lot of different things on my mind, so I thought it might be good to have something to promote clarity. I also love the banding representing growth and transformation. Also as a personal thing for me, I absolutely adore that a few of the bands towards the centre resemble the trans flag ๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ
The artist is called Hedgewise House (formerly The Emporium Next Doorium) and she is both incredibly talented and incredibly lovely.

๐ต๐ธ ๐๏ธ Mindful Craft Meditation with ADHD
Iโve always wanted to try meditation, and I always found it really really hard. Recently, Iโve come to realise that one reason for that could be because I have ADHD, and it makes it very difficult for me to concentrate.
My mental health has been very poor lately; if Iโm being honest, the worst itโs been since I was a teenager, and Iโm scared. Iโm trying to throw everything at the wall and see what sticks. Iโd like to try meditation again.
One thing Iโve done is bought a palm stone. Aside from it being fluorite and hopefully encouraging clarity and intuition, Iโve found that having something to hold and squeeze in my hand can help me concentrate.
Would anyone whoโs maybe been in a similar position be able to offer any suggestions?

๐ต๐ธ ๐๏ธ Coven Counsel Inherited a binding energetic mantle in my culture, is a spiritual pact or renegotiation possible from an occult perspective?
Hi everyone,
I accepted an inherited energetic mantle from an elder out of respect. In my culture's tradition, this is a binding duty rather than a choice. Suppressing it creates intense internal pressure, and local beliefs state that refusing it forces the burden onto the next generation with greater intensity.
I know Western magic and occultism prioritize personal free will, so I want to hear your perspectives. I am not looking for basic cleansing spells or simple rituals.
I want to know if it is possible from an occult or traditional perspective to forge a formal spiritual agreement or pact to safely freeze or alter this duty without passing it down. I also want to know how other traditions manage an ancestral mantle when the practitioner refuses the role but the force still demands an outlet.
Looking forward to insights from experienced lineage workers and traditional practitioners. Thanks. ๐

๐ต๐ธ ๐๏ธ Decolonize Spirituality Non appropriative alternative to "spirit animal"?
I know it's something that's been discussed to death but I've never really seen a good alternative term be pitched. Spirit animal is obviously not okay to use as a non indigenous person but most of the other terms I've seen pitched are either also cultural terms from traditions I have no connection to (I'm not Scandinavian and fylgja has pretty distinct connotations so like it also feels inappropriate) or borderline dismissive stuff like fursona or *gag* patronus. I just don't really know what to call the kind of intense spiritual connection and resonance with a certain animal I have.

๐ต๐ธ ๐๏ธ Women in History September 5: international indigenous women's day
Courtesy of u/lanaflowerz
There are 476 million indigenous peoples around the world, constituting 6.2 percent of the global population and, according to different sources, representing more than 19% of the extreme poor (ILO, 2019) of the world.
Half of this population are women (approximately 240 million). Even though indigenous peoples represent 19 percent of the global poor population (ILO, 2019), it is important to highlight that indigenous peoples and indigenous women are not vulnerable populations per se. For thousands of years, indigenous women have played a fundamental role in preserving their livelihoods, languages, culture, cosmogony and territory. However, the systemic lack of recognition of their rights, in particular indigenous peoplesโ right to self-identification and their collective rights, places them in situations of increased discrimination, vulnerability, poverty, conflict and food insecurity.
Indigenous women experience high rates of maternal mortality, obstetric violence and adolescent pregnancy, compounded by discrimination and limited access to essential services.
Less than a quarter of Indigenous women are in paid employment, compared to just over half of non-Indigenous women.

If you're interested in learning how the UN Human Rights Office defends and promotes Indigenous Peoples Rights, a free online training is available to you in English, French, Russian, Spanish, and Portuguese.
The e-learning tool is divided into two modules:
Understanding and applying the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP)
Promoting and defending the rights of indigenous peoples โ find your way in cooperating with the United Nations human rights protection system

(Disclaimer: I don't have any stake in the UN training tool; just found it while looking this up and thought it was pretty neat! Activists especially might appreciate it)
Want to consume Indigenous people media but not sure where to start? Cultural Survival Quarterly is a journal dedicated to Indigenous women. They also recommend several podcasts here (https://www.culturalsurvival.org/news/7-things-do-international-indigenous-womens-day). And they host festivals ( https://www.bazaar.culturalsurvival.org/)
Personal recs : North of the North, Inuit comedy TV show with an Indigenous cast & Les Filles de Illighadad, tuareg band with a woman guitarist.

๐ต๐ธ ๐๏ธ Modern Witches Witchy shops in and around Belfast?
Iโm going home for a few days next week, and was thinking while Iโm there I might try to pick up a new tarot deck pouch and maybe just generally have a browse.
Iโm struggling to find good witchy shops at home, though. Thereโs Solstice in Holywood which is an old favourite of my mumโs, but other than that I canโt find much.
Thereโs a place called Mystiques which looks kinda cool but use AI an insane amount; when I looked them up online, they did not take kindly to a review criticising them for it. Other than that, I canโt really see any at all.
Would anyone have any suggestions?

๐ต๐ธ ๐๏ธ BURN THE PATRIARCHY Rearranging bedroom/sleeping configuration ritual?
My 2 partners and I have lived together for 7 years now and as relationships have changed, weโve decided that itโs time to reconfigure who is in what bedroom. Weโre all on board, but itโs a big transition and I feel like there should be some ritual to mark the occasion.
Anyone else done something similar? Iโm feeling like at least an energy cleansing and setting intentions at least? Thoughts?
Thanks!
