Is that why half the comments in here are crying that the guy is a victim defending himself

That's just a good half of men on reddit, so they're everywhere

She grabbed his drink. He pored it on her.

She physically attacked him. He pushed her away.

She grabbed a bottle off the table to use as a weapon. He pushed her away.

That is what the video shows. That's the reality of the video.

Do you see something else?

Uh yeah. From what I saw(and I don’t think this caption fits the video I think they were a couple), she tried to take away his drink(makes me think they’re a couple and she wanted to cut him off, possibly bc he gets angry and violent when drunk as he did here) he dumped the beer all over her head(not self defense and very much abusive behavior) she pushed away his hand bc he was dumping his beer all over her. She got up and lifted her arms around his shoulders, he got angry and shoved her out of her seat to the ground. Then for no reason got up and kicked her while she was on the ground and defenseless to really drive the point home. She jumped up and grabbed a bottle to defend herself after that kick bc she’s not safe on the ground clearly, and he came at her to shove her throat extremely hard rather than taking the bottle out of her hand and/or walking away, she wasn’t attacking him w the bottle it was a self defense measure. Wtf are you watching, and I’m now very concerned for any women around you if that’s what you think you watched, a man defending himself, HUGE yikes. You do know a woman trying to stop you from drinking more IS NOT assault, right???? But pouring that beer over her head IS assault. Kicking a defenseless woman on the ground IS assault too.

And it's purely speculation that you have made saying that you thought she was grabbing his drink to keep him from drinking more or cutting him off. There's no way of knowing that from watching the video.

She did more than push his hand away she jumped up and lunged towards him.

u/MichealParsons11 1h ago

I mean she had someone throwing a drink in her face at the time, no jury or judge is going to agree that she “lunged” at him. It’s an involuntary reaction to jump up when someone’s pouring a drink all over your head. You’re not just going to sit there like a statue.

No it's quite easy to see that she stood up out of her seat put her arms out towards his head or neck and move very quickly towards him. She didn't just jump up.

If you were honestly scared of someone and not planning it to attack them you would jump up and move away quickly.

It's very very obvious that she was planning to attack him.

And even after getting up off of the ground she grabbed a bottle and lunch towards him again.

At no point did she try to de-escalate or act like she was afraid.

The man is the one that had to remove himself from the situation

u/Justcoffeeforme 2h ago

What? You can clearly see that she was the one moving threateningly towards him in each one of the situations. Grabbing a bottle and running towards someone is not a defensive tactic. Apparently this is turned into some sort of feminist outrage bait against men.

I think you can make a self defense argument for the shove, after she grabs a bottle like she clearly wants to hit him with it. The two lines before that though are really stupid. She reaches for his drink for whatever reason so he chucks it in her face. She understandably reacts negatively to having a drink chucked in her face so he knocks her to the ground. He absolutely started it, and you're insane if you think her pawing at his drink justifies him throwing it in her face.

u/Justcoffeeforme 1h ago

I never tried to justify anything. You're putting words in my mouth.

I don't think he should have thrown the drink in her face because she grabbed his glass.

But I do think he's well within his rights to push her away after she stood up and lunged at him.

And within his rights to push her down with his foot again so he could get away.

And grabbing a bottle off of a table and lunging towards someone is actually assault.

You're so full of shit lol, your entire post is you saying "He did X in response to her doing Y" including the thing with the drink which was 1000000000% instigated by him. He's clearly way bigger than her and he assaults her and then waits for her to react so he can continue assaulting her, and saying that he had to stomp on her when she's on the ground so he can get away is insane.

The only point he's even remotely justified is when she picks up a bottle, but that's after he's assaulted her 3 times, and even that is pretty debatable because she's not moving at him at all with the bottle, she might just be grabbing it to defend herself from the man who threw something at her then stomped on her when she was on the ground.

"grabbing a bottle off of a table and lunging towards someone", rewatch the video moron, he's walking away and she grabs a bottle and stands still, she doesn't take a single step towards him so I don't know where you get "lunging towards someone" from. He's walking away and when he sees her take the bottle he turns around and comes back to hit her again.

No actually you're the one trying to control the narrative and say that he was the aggressor.

You've apparently turned this into some sort of sexist rage bait crap.

It's completely obvious that she was the initial aggressor from grabbing his drink.

She was aggressive again when she stood up put out her arms and move towards him while he was sitting down.

And she was the aggressor the third time when she moved towards him and grabbed a bottle to use as a weapon.

If anybody has committed a criminal offense in this video it is the female for attacking the mail with a bottle.

At no time did he actually hit or kick the female he simply pushed her away with his hands and his feet. If he had actually punched or kicked her she would most definitely be in much worse shape.

It's obvious from the way that you talk that you are biased and want it to be the man's fault.

u/PoopyButt28000 1h ago

You realize your comments are public right? You literally called it feminist ragebait.

This comment is 100% bait.

u/Justcoffeeforme 50m ago

Yes, the person that I was talking to was trying to turn it into a feminist rage bait argument. I have no problems calling out sexism and it doesn't matter if it's coming from a man or from a woman. Do you not think women can be sexist?
