I would definitely do that if I was in her situation.

u/PanicStricken 4h ago

Watch again. She started the fight. She jammed him when he was about to drink. He splashed her. Then she got out of her seat, while he is still seated... and she slaps him. He grabs her hand and strikes her back.

Pause it. Her butt is out of the seat, standing over him, striking him. She started the assault. He defended himself.

u/PresentRaspberry6814 3h ago

Literally nothing about his assault on her was "defending" himself. He could have killed her with that violence.

u/DudeWhoKnowsItAll 1h ago

She was the agressor, she even got a weapon. Lucky for her, that she got out there alive, if someone threatened me with a bottle, I'd react differently

u/JoeBarelyCares 2h ago

Killed her? I think he could have walked away sooner, but he wasn’t trying to kill her. That size difference? She did some stuff I would have laughed at. For whatever reason, he was fed up.

She wants to pick up a bottle and advance on him? The shove was the least of her problems. He could have ended her.

u/PancakeHandz 2h ago

I don’t think you understand how easily falling to the ground and slamming your head against concrete/other solid objects can kill a person. More people need to consider that throwing a few hits or shoves can turn into manslaughter in the blink of an eye.

u/JoeBarelyCares 2h ago

More people need to understand advancing on someone and picking up a weapon gets a reaction that can end up hurting you.

u/MichealParsons11 2h ago

She picked up a weapon after he kicked her while she was still on the ground. She jumped up and grabbed the bottle to try and keep him away. She didn’t advance w it, he was in no danger at all by just walking away. She was in danger the entire time from the moment he poured his drink on her. My HS friend was killed by an 18yr old kid just shoving him into a vending machine at a grocery store bc he hit his head when he fell into it. It was really stupid and over nothing and that young kid’s life was ruined. He definitely could’ve killed her easily.

u/JoeBarelyCares 2h ago

I’m sorry about your friend.

u/PresentRaspberry6814 2h ago

Again. Women are 30% weaker than any man. Using this amount of force is deadly and she will have sustained at least a concussion. Weak little man is a danger to most people.

u/nottherealneal 13m ago

What exactly was he defending himself from when he was kicking her on the ground?

How sad if your life that you have to lie to defend assholes?

u/MichealParsons11 2h ago

“It could’ve been worse, he could’ve ended her” isn’t the defense you think it is. SMH. The bar for men is in hell atp. Yes he could’ve walked away as soon as he got angry about her taking his drink. He didn’t bc he’s an abusive pyschopath he had to put her in his place.

u/JoeBarelyCares 2h ago

So it’s ok for women to instigate and swing on men and grab weapons? Got it.

Again, he overreacted. She’s not innocent in this. No court is going to convict him because she instigated. She even says she grabbed his beer.

u/GloomyCheesecake999 1h ago

Anyone defending this guy or his actions is just as big a piece of shit as he is. Fuck you

u/MichealParsons11 1h ago

If they’re being assaulted yes they can attempt to defend themselves, what kind of question is that? Throwing a drink in someone’s face IS an ASSAULT especially when intended to mock, provoke, or start a fight. Grabbing someone’s drink is very much NOT instigating an assault. I know bc I did it all the time as a bartender. Alcoholics get really upset when you try to take away their alcohol and often get aggressive. But it’s not assault. Their aggressive reactions definitely can be though.

u/PresentRaspberry6814 1h ago

She shouldn't try to defend herself or appear a threat while being beaten to a pulp? Your hatred of women is terrifying.

u/JoeBarelyCares 1h ago

She isn’t being beaten to a pulp. She was shoved down after trying to hit this guy. Again, I’m not reacting the way he is. I’m a pussy. She’d get away with hitting me.

But no one should get to hit someone else without consequences.

u/TylervPats91 3h ago

Well aren’t you a deranged little man

u/PanicStricken 2h ago

You have no rebuttal, and instead just insulted someone for speaking. You are wrong about this occurence as has already been established, and now you are wrong in this interaction.

It's always the ones that devolve to name-calling that are wrong in an argument.

u/TylervPats91 2h ago

I love your little bio quote in your profile about protecting the innocent btw

u/PanicStricken 2h ago

Your response is petty, and you're still unable to make a coherent rebuttal.

The man in the video may be a jerk for escalating to splashing her when she smacks his glass at him, but he is innocent as the wronged and assaulted party.

I will gladly endure slings from sexist Redditors to defend the innocent.

Women deserve to be protected. So do men. This time, it was the man that was wronged. It's less common, but this example is one. Unpopular facts are still facts.

u/BlueMantisShrimp 2h ago

She didn't jam him. She grabbed the bottom of the cup, he rips it away and throws it in her face. Her butt was barely up off the seat. Great. He threw her, kicked her while she was down, and sent her flying like a ragdoll. Nothing of what he did was self defense. Grabbing at cup does not at all warrant his assault of a reaction. Grabbing a cup doesn't cause him harm nor does it threaten his life in any way.

She got up to grab a bottle to hopefully protect herself after everything he already did to her. Then he stole her bag.

Yeah, the man who threw the woman 5 ft away from the table and then kicked her while she was down and stole from her was so totally fearing for his life that he was defending himself against a woman who probably weighs 90 pounds wet. Ok, buddy.

u/Ok-Ship-2647 2h ago

i dont think it is evident that he stole her bag, you can clearly see the bag being near him before the encounter and her having a small bag on her seat, just saying.

u/nottherealneal 9m ago

So you just ignore everything else they said huh? Intresting plan,

u/BlueMantisShrimp 2h ago

Bag aside... his reaction to her grabbing at the bottom of the cup is unhinged behavior and wildly uncalled for. He could have caused permanent damage... or killed her if she landed wrong or hit her head wrong if he didn't walk away when he did.

u/Ok-Ship-2647 2h ago

sure, i just think it's important to be as precise as possible otherwise it will dilute the points you are trying to make.

u/PanicStricken 1h ago

You are completely dehumanizing the victim just because he is a man.

Absolutely no one is allowed to assault anyone. Period.

Just because a woman is weaker and "90 pounds wet' does not give her the right to assault anyone she pleases. Men have feelings too and deserve to not be attacked. Failure to recognize this is SEXISM.

When ANYONE OF ANY GENDER is attacked, they have the right to defend themselves.

Self defense is inherently chaotic. You don't have time to think. You are under attack. You have to act quickly and forcefully. That means your retaliation may be stronger than the attack you received. An assailant does not get to dictate the manner in which you defend yourself.

  • She slapped.
  • He struck back, knocking her down.
  • She went to get up, he kicked her down.
  • He walked away, and grabbed his bag.
  • She got up to pursue and grabbed a glass bottle as a weapon.
  • He struck her down again and left.

If the genders in the video were reversed, I would be defending her. This is not about defending men, or hating women. Women deserve to feel just as safe as men.

This is about standing up for the person that was attacked, and their right to do whatever is necessary to stop that attack. Knocking her down would have been enough, but she kept getting up to come at him. She was never in a netural stance until she had the glass bottle in hand.

u/fizzy88 46m ago

First off, he threw the drink at her, which counts as assault almost everywhere in the US, including Kentucky (assuming that's where this is).

Nope, sorry, not seeing where the slap is coming from her. She gets in his face and he throws her down. Her hands were covering her face and her butt was barely off the ground when he kicked her down again. Completely uncalled for.

He's already gone so far off the rails by the time she grabs the bottle, I'd say it was in her self defense. How does she know if he's done? And she isn't pursuing him.

The guy had so many opportunities to walk away without doing more damage, and he failed at every turn. You are insane for spending this much effort defending him.

And you sir, are the problem. Holy hell get some help.
IN NO WORLD is that a proportional self defence.

u/My_Brain_0422 1h ago

None of that happened.

u/New_Libran 3h ago

Nah, you watch again. It was HER drink. His drink was the bottle. He picked up her drink to throw it at her, and she tried to grab her drink back, that's when he lashed out.

u/JoeBarelyCares 2h ago

How can you tell it was her drink from this video? He reaches down to pick up a drink that appears closer to him. She grabs it while it is in his hand. He throws it in her face and then she hits him.

If the genders were reversed, we’d be all over him for instigating this.

u/PanicStricken 2h ago

He grabbed the drink closest to him, and brought it to his face.

A Redditor shared hearsay that the drink was hers, and the mob ran with it.

Even if their claim were true, she struck it in his hand. That is an unnecessary assault for "stealing" a drink. She could have gotten up and walked away instead if it were true.

u/AutisticHobbit 2h ago

Hey look everyone, it's the creep from the video.

u/PanicStricken 2h ago

You're attacking another human being for speaking.

If you have a rebuttal, express it.

But when your entire argument is namecalling others, YOU and your stance are clearly the one in the wrong.

u/UnUsernameRandom 25m ago

I don't think anyone cares to argue with people like you.

You don't deserve the attention.

Edit: I wanted to block you and I found this irony on your profile:

Excessive sympathy for criminals is injustice towards the innocent. When the justice system doesn't hold criminals accountable, it's the innocents around them that pay the price.

You must be mentally deranged.

u/ROKIT-88 4h ago

Throwing a drink in someone’s face like that is legally battery and/or assault depending on the state.

u/PanicStricken 3h ago

Yes. Not in KY. They look at circumstance, and if only fluid touched her and there are no damages, then there are no charges.

u/MichealParsons11 1h ago

Wrong. It can be assault in KY. Minimum disorderly conduct or menacing bc it’s meant to mock or provoke a fight in public. If they watched this video, no judge or jury would consider this harmless.

u/PanicStricken 4h ago

Not in Kentucky. They look at circumstance, as they should. She jammed his drink at him, starting this mess. (Regardless of any words from either party prior.)

u/SueBeee 3h ago

Please fucking tell me you’re kidding.

u/Foxingtons6 3h ago

I agree with the guy. He's totally right. Just watch it again slowly.

u/SueBeee 3h ago

Fuck you too.

u/PancakeHandz 2h ago

I’m really trying to understand what “jammed him” hallucination you are having here? He grabs the drink, and she went to grab the glass from him. Then he threw it in her face. The language you are using for this is a serious stretch.

u/PanicStricken 2h ago

The speed at which she jammed her hand into his drink splashed it.

THEN, he briefly wrestled with it, before purposely splashing it at her. He was rude. But he was first physically struck.

We don't know what was said, and whether the drink was truly his, even if it was closer to him. What was said before makes a big difference on how that rapid strike was interpreted by him.

He could have been a jerk splashing her, or he was retaliating for the strike. EITHER WAY, it should have ended there.

She then got out of her chair, slapped him, and turned rude into assault. She was heated and feeling wronged, sure. But it doesn't justify assault.

u/lowercasenameofmine 27m ago

So him kicking her to the ground is something you support.

Make sure to let women in your life know this about you.

Yes yes you will proudly state you'd do the same

Again, let women in your life know this about you.

u/ganggreen651 2h ago

Lmao delusional as fuck

u/PanicStricken 2h ago

This is not a rebuttal. You're making a personal attack. Be a better human being.

u/MichealParsons11 2h ago

Pouring beer over someone’s head is assault. That was the first assault. She tried to take away his drink- not assault. Probably actually a couple and he gets angry and violent when he’s drunk(bartended for 15yrs saw women trying to stop their so’s from getting drunker almost weekly) after he poured the entire beer over her head, she stood up and put her arms out to which he shoved her to the ground, then kicked her while she was on the ground. She saw he was still going to hurt her while she was defenseless on the ground so she stood up and grabbed a bottle for self defense. Didn’t go after him w it, just stood there, he shoved her by the throat to the ground again. Yall concern me thinking she started this bc she tried to take away his drink, and not saying “Jesus Christ this dude is an abuser”. Put your sister and her bf or husband in their places rather than yourself. This is not ok behavior. This is not self defense by him.

u/stocksupanddown 4h ago

she isn't innocent..

She grabbed a bottle at the end.. he could have easily gotten cracked in the head with it if things went different

u/-UsernameHere 3h ago

After he literally stole her purse and she just wanted it back? After she was assaulted multiple times? Yes why would she grab something to defend herself.

Yeah lock her up she's the real criminal here. Holy fuck I wish people like you didn't vote.

u/PardonTheCorrection 3h ago

The bag is his. The only unjustified thing here is the kick.

u/panrestrial 2h ago

He repeatedly assaulted her and all you can comment on is what she could've done, but didn't. Seriously, no snark, take a step back and rethink your whole mindset.

u/davestewartslutman 3h ago

She did start it, but he was way disproportionate in his response.

u/Foxingtons6 3h ago

The video looks bad for him and I was fully against him for being abusive... but you're absolutely right if you pause and watch it slowly she's the aggresor.

She snatched at his glass first. She stood up over him and attempted to strike. She grabbed a glass bottle as a weapon while he was disengaging.
