I think he grabbed her drink and that's why she reached for it. She picked up a different bottle that was in front of him before he threw her down the last time.

u/GoodgirlTiffany 5h ago

"I think" equals proof.

u/Willing-Egg8423 4h ago

Who what glass why drink what hers when first? It didn’t even cross my mind to consider the damn drinks, I was too busy watching a woman get terrorized and beat up.

u/jazzmaster105150 3h ago

She assaulted him. He defended himself. Having a vagina isn't a license to assault men.

u/Regi0 2h ago

Bait used to be believable

u/willargue4karma 1h ago

By grabbing her own drink from him? Other guy is right, bait used to be believable 🤣🤣

u/jazzmaster105150 41m ago

Watch the video again, dipshit. Her glass is in front of her and stays in front of her because he grabbed his own drink.

u/willargue4karma 38m ago

Doesn't look like a drink, but even if that is his drink she probably knew he was gonna throw it at her lmao 🤣🤣 it's still not assault bruv

u/GodMax 22m ago

He's clearly calmly raising his drink, there's nothing strange about his movement at all. To be honest, I don't even care about this whole issue, but I'm interested in a psychological side of this. When you're watching the video, is your brain actually so fucked that you literally cannot tell what is going on, or are you just trolling? I'm genuinely curious.

u/jazzmaster105150 20m ago

It's literally the same shape and color as the object she tries to grab from his hand. He was moving the drink towards his mouth, She then grabbed it. She assaulted him. He defended himself. Idiots like you are victim shaming because he's a man and he fought back.

u/Neither_Pirate5903 6h ago

he's clearly moving it to his face to drink it when she tries to grab it.

u/P3ngu1nR4ge 5h ago

None of it matters. As a guy, even if rejected I would handle myself and emotions far better. The dude deserves jail. Like seriously, get up and leave is always the move.

u/Rare-Combination7438 4h ago

She assaulted him first. He defended himself after she then tried to slap him. He tried to walk away and she grabbed a weapon.

She could have gotten up and left, but nobody seems to blame her for not doing so. I wonder why that is?

u/Regi0 2h ago

Yeah because the reasonable response to someone trying to grab your drink from you is to completely douse them in it

u/Glittering-Two-1784 2h ago

It kinda depends alot on all the other context, no? It could be totally reasonable. We have no idea, cause we don’t know why she’s grabbing the drink, or what she planned to do with it.

Obviously, everything that happens after is a huge overreaction, and he could have just left instead of beating the crap out of this girl. But we don’t know anything else, and the caption posted alongside this post reeks of some ragebait bullshit, so idk why people are making up random shit to try to paint this dude as worse when he’s already clearly in the wrong for all the other shit that comes after.

u/Rare-Combination7438 2h ago

Would you have the same reaction if a man tried to grab a woman's drink and she responded by throwing it at him? I highly doubt it.

u/Regi0 2h ago

It would depend on the context, like if the woman is beligerently drunk then I would argue trying to take the drink is justified, although dousing the guy in the drink wouldn't be, and I would make that same argument here. There's no reality where throwing a drink at someone is a reasonable response to someone trying to take your drink from you.

u/Rare-Combination7438 2h ago

Okay, so why don't you start by saying that she never should have tried to grab the drink from his hand?

You, and everyone else, immediately talks about how his actions were wrong, but you conveniently skip over every single thing she does as the aggressor.

u/Regi0 2h ago

Probably because she's not exactly very dangerous as an aggressor. She's a small woman attempting to fight a much larger man. Responsible men are taught not to escalate and respond with force towards things weaker than us because it's abusing a power imbalance. Were you taught that way?

u/Rare-Combination7438 2h ago

The idea that men should take any and all abuse, including and especially physical abuse, without reacting is horribly toxic.

I'll ask again. Why aren't you condemning her actions as the aggressor?

You can’t go around snatching drinks out of peoples faces and not expect blowback. Come on now

u/Regi0 2h ago

You also can't go around harassing people by phone constantly and berating them when they finally agree to meet in person, which is apparently the context for the confrontation here, according to other people in this thread

Disregarding all that, as men, we ought to understand how inherently stronger we typically are compared to the average woman. Escalating physically with a woman is just irresponsible, and kicking a woman while she's down then throwing her to the ground by the neck is just deplorable. It's an abuse of a power imbalance.

u/JackosMonkeyBBLZ 2h ago

I don’t know about any of the context all I’m doing is commenting on what’s visible in the footage. She clearly makes the first inappropriate move with the snatching.

Dont touch others. That’s the rule here on Earth. "Touch not lest ye be touched." All I see from this video is her violating that rule.

u/Regi0 2h ago

It almost sounds like you're justifying his reaction. Do you agree with beating people much less powerful than you for a minor infraction?

u/JackosMonkeyBBLZ 2h ago

Everyone has a right to defend themselves in America. How do we know she would have stopped with that first inappropriate grab she made at him? We don’t. All that’s clear from the video is she was willing to risk harming someone over that drink. That’s a red flag. Right there somebody could have got hurt.

Now, I don’t think anyone deserves bodily harm. I personally would not have reacted this way. I’m positive all problems can be solved without violence.

Unfortunately, for all of us, neither of these people feels the same way.

ok, fine. it was his drink. does that still warrant throwing it in her face, and every assault thereafter?

u/GuiltyFig2839 4h ago

it's unbelievably stupid bc we both know he's the ass here but that drink grab is assault. They're two people on negative terms. She can't make a move like trying to take a glass out of his hand. Location-dependent he does have the right to meet her force and splashing her isn't horribly out of line. She then unlawfully escalated being splashed with a punch and he lawfully responded. His kick while she's down? No good. Her getting back up to grab a weapon as he walks away? No good and validates his kick more. I feel a court would have a tough time getting one party into cuffs here and there's good reason it's a facebook post and not a mugshot.

u/Fantastic-Celery-255 4h ago

That drink grab is actually not assault. Spew your bullshit elsewhere

u/Special_Capital_8281 4h ago edited 4h ago

You're right. It's not assault. It's battery.

She touched him nonconsensually, trying to take something he was holding that likely was his, since it was sitting in front of him when he picked it up.

His beer toss is what might be the assault charge (or battery, depending on locality). Really depends on his attorney and the DA. The kick was excessive and unnecessary... but so was her picking up a bottle, holding like a weapon, and advancing on him.

I see two assholes breaking laws here. He being the bigger one, but she is the instigator of violence being the first to assault and/or batter the other party.

Don't fucking touch other people.

u/JackosMonkeyBBLZ 2h ago

DONT TOUCH OTHER PEOPLE

She blew it when she went for the glass.

u/scgt86 6h ago

An empty one. He drank his already.

Her glass is still sitting there. She grabbed his drink.

u/Petrostar 5h ago

Looks more like 2 glasses on the table,

So did she have two drinks?

u/bimessual 4h ago

could have been a water and a beer

u/Petrostar 4h ago

Could be, but the drink he picks up is directly infront of him. All things being equal I'd guess it to be his, Occam's razor and so on.

He doesn't have to reach or lean to get it, but she does have to lean to try and slap it out of his hand.

u/-cumdogmillionaire- 2h ago

It isnt in front of him, it’s in front of her left side, you can watch how her reaches for it and it’s closer to her. You can also see his empty bottle of beer to his left side, the one she picks up after he assaults her.

From my past knowledge bartending, I can say people usually keep their drinks to the left side of them because they use their dominate right hand for their phones or gesturing when talking.

To me this looks like she was reacting to him taking her drink and she is trying to grab it back.

u/Petrostar 1h ago

It's much closer to him, he doesn't even need to need to full extend his arm to pick it up. She has to fully extend and lean forward.
