He’s got a completely average build and he still managed to do all that. I’m not a woman but shit is scary to think about

u/ShiaKer 6h ago edited 5h ago

It is and as a woman I'm well aware of this. At the same time I've never experienced this kind of aggression from men that my smaller/ regular sized friends have. I'm almost 6ft 2, built like an athlete and strong af (thanks genetics). Growing up I'd wanted to be dainty and I'd never thought I'd be so grateful for towering over men and being muscular. But whenever I see things like this I'm ever so grateful for it and looking intimidating because it doesn't make me an easy target.

u/AB4ND0N_H0PE 3h ago

Lady, it doesn't matter how intimidating or athletic you are. I'm 5'7 at 10-15% BF and 150-155 lbs and most would say I'm "jacked" or "built" despite me still cutting. I'm confident I would be able to take down someone taller than me if they're just tall and skinny and most girls (especially if you're tall) are even lower in weight than guys. Unless you're tall and big or even just overweight, you're not standing a chance against an average guy. Fat is literally the only thing woman have that can help them in this situation and even then it's only a safety measure against muscle.

u/user92236 2h ago

I’m a woman at 5’9 about 145 and I had a bf who was 5’7 maybe he was 155/160 and when we wrestled he could immediately pin me and his grip was basically metal like I could not move at all.

My husband is 6’4 and 220lbs it’s not even fun at all to try him unless he pretends to be dead weight it’s kind of funny trying to move him around 😂

u/AB4ND0N_H0PE 2h ago

Weight classes exist for a reason. Height still matters a lot, especially for social aspects. However, when it comes to fighting, weight will always be the biggest factor.

They never said they were trying to “fight men” they said they’re glad they look more intimidating. What women do you know trying to fight men just because, not defend themselves just straight up fight them. Oh you don’t know any because that’s not what happened in the video that’s not what happens in real life and that’s not what happened in the comment. Men like you are the problem, i’m not engaging any further.

u/Mrdrbnr 4h ago

Follow 😜

u/MundaneCherries 4h ago

Same, as a 6'1 woman I'm grateful most men won't even attempt to try anything with me.

u/petrichorax 3h ago

You should try a combat sport and spar with men, especially wrestling. Most men will be intimidated by your height but almost all men have greater muscle density than even the fittest women, you should be prepared for that if you ever have to get into fight.

u/godtogblandet 1h ago

This is false sense of security. A small man would wreck your shit in any conflict. You have just been lucky enough to never having fought one.

For reference, when the best women combat athlete of all time Amanda Nunes is sparing in the gym against men, even the worst men in the gym will go easy on her. If you don't have any combat experience you won't beat a man in a fight, running is always the best option. If you can't run, weapon is the nest best option.

u/ieatballoonknot 5h ago

🥹how tall and muscular are you again?

u/Fletcher_Chonk 4h ago

cringe

u/Humble-Captain3418 3h ago

Don't, they usually get off on that, too...

u/Lucy333999 5h ago

This is what women have been saying all along.

u/Beatnik5750 2h ago

Have they? I dunno, I've seen a LOT of women say that they're just as physically capable as men, and nothing will convince them otherwise.

u/CantaloupeShort7311 5h ago

Which is why we choose the bear.

Unless it is a polar bear, you will likely either scare it off or manage to not be interesting enough for it to care about. But men arent as easily identifiable as the various bear species, meaning any man you see in public could be a polar bear in disguise.

u/Beautiful-Cup4161 4h ago

I'd take a man over a grizzly bear too. Really the only bear I would choose are pandas and black bears. Men are kind of in the middle of the list.

u/Fletcher_Chonk 4h ago

I've heard a lot of gay men like bears too

u/Kjufka 3h ago

I think any bear would maul you if you tried yanking beer out of it's paws. Most men would, at worst, splash you with it.

men: 1
bears: 0

u/Alexx-the-Hero 2h ago

Lmao at least you can gouge out a mans eyes, kick him in his balls and run or maybe pepper spray him or shoot him if you're prepared like that.

The bear however? Good luck getting getting away from a determined bear.

u/Pataraxia 5h ago

It is quite unfair. As a guy, I never ever feel threatened walking near a woman, even if she was shady as hell or my height.

Random anecdote but I remember two of my good friends we used to do a lot of roughhousing and the game was basically "Tackle me" (sort of came up discussing self defence) and before I even realized it I was making the 55kg one basically fly off the ground by spinning.

Two on one and they couldn't make me fall once, I had them both pinned at some point. And weirdly, it scared ME, not them.

u/ArcMaxim 5h ago

Were you bigger than these two guys? It really is hard to get a man on the ground and keep him there. That’s actually why you’ll see two or three cops trying to arrest just one man

u/Pataraxia 4h ago

Not two guys, it was two of my female friends, we'd do that one a lot back when I was 18 and we'd go to the beach. (they wanted the sand to help them make it harder to stand but no luck)

u/Infamous-Body6938 4h ago

I said something similar in a thread a couple weeks back and was down voted. Ladies were not trying to say your strong. You are, we love you. Please don't ever underestimate the raw explosive stretch of an average looking dude.

u/Old-Republic2532 2h ago

Imagine if you had to compete against dudes as a woman in sports.

u/willargue4karma 1h ago

Keep imagining 😂

u/ModOfficial1988 3h ago

Slow your roll there JK Rowling. That’s hate speech on Reddit.

u/pinksparklecat 2h ago

Average build but he is much bigger than her, and the scary thing is, a guy who is smaller than me typically has more strength than me, too. Men are strong, this video really showcases how easy it can be. So scary.

u/ArcMaxim 23m ago

He’s bigger but he doesn’t even seem that tall to be honest, maybe 5’10

u/Informal-Comb1989 1h ago

It shocked me the force he was able to use like barely moving. I’ve been in this position as a woman and it’s still shocking the damage they can do. Wish men understood this.

u/MonacoMaster68 5h ago

I have 3 daughters, I hear you. My ex wife one time was curious and asked me to wrestle her harder until she said stop, I think it was something like 30% Scary.

u/Vegetable-Chapter811 4h ago

Lol and then my mom used to wrestle with both me and my older brother. She's worked physical jobs her entire life and she used to be able to go toe-to-toe with us or our dad. Granted my dad is only 5'5" and she was the exact same height and weight

u/MonacoMaster68 3h ago

Yeah there was a pretty big disparity for us! I was a 190 lb roofer in the best shape of my life and she was a 130 lb office worker!

u/ScyllaOfTheDepths 4h ago

Men are stronger on average, but the key difference in my experience is that most women just don't expect to be attacked and have never been in a physical fight, so they don't know what to do and just clam up. I've seen it happen to men who get attacked, too, but boys typically grow up fighting each other and have some level of experience even if it's just in schoolyard fights. You really just don't know how to act if something has never happened to you. This is why I think a lot of women should take self-defense classes because it'll be beneficial even if all you learn is how to keep thinking and moving after being attacked. Most women are strong enough to fight off most men. We might not be stronger, but you don't have to be stronger than the other person to, in the immortal words of my former girl scout troop leader, "bite a plug out of him".

u/thousandsmallgods 2h ago

I adore your former girl scout troop leader.

u/ScyllaOfTheDepths 1h ago

She was probably criminally insane, but she had some good quotes lol.

u/NiceSupermarket7724 3h ago

Is this literally the first time you’ve had this realization??

u/ArcMaxim 27m ago edited 3m ago

Not at all? I’ve known this forever. To the contrary there’s women in my life I’ve had to explain this to. “If I’m worked up enough I could take on a man for sure,” uh no lady you can’t and please don’t because you’ll end up in the ground. This false narrative that women and men are equal in every single aspect (specifically physically) is ultimately harmful

u/Otherwise-Remove4681 2h ago

Avarage? He is fatso. So imagine if he was actually avaragd.

u/ArcMaxim 22m ago

Yes, that’s average in America lol. I see what you’re getting at though

u/5AlarmFirefly 2h ago

It is scary to think about. And we think about it EVERY. FUCKING. DAY.

u/ArcMaxim 20m ago

I’m not denying that for you but I’ve legit had to explain to some women in my life the physical differences between men and women because they thought they’d be able to hold their own against a man based off their temper and attitude alone. There’s a false narrative that men and women are equal physically out there that ultimately will hurt women in violent situations

u/taffy1430 2h ago

Women can absolutely defend themselves more but most of us are conditioned as children to be delicate flowers and to freeze or flight, never fight. Its a psychological difference, not a physica l one

u/Old-Republic2532 2h ago

You're delusional if you think the difference in a fight is psychological, sure there's a difference there.  Men are on average more aggressive and violent.

You're ignoring the, on average, tens of pounds of additional muscle mass, height, and overall mass men have over women.  Testosterone is a performance enhancing drug that men have the monopoly on.

u/ArcMaxim 24m ago

You’re completely wrong here at it is 100% a physical one. Please do not try to use that attitude in real life, men have stronger body strength, faster reaction times, etc

u/AnyAcanthocephala425 2h ago

Don't use this case to overstate that, she wasn't attacking, he was. A woman could do some real damage if she wanted to, but in most of these cases violence only crosses the mind of one person, not two

u/ArcMaxim 15m ago

Have fun living in whatever world you’re in, in the real world women have weaker body strength, grip strength, and reaction times on average. There’s countless videos online like this one here where there’s two female cops trying to arrest one man and they just can’t
