Reddit will find any reason to make the woman the enemy even if they just watched her get beat the fuck up by a man obviously way bigger and stronger than her. But she deserved it because she was reaching for his beer right? Jesus fucking Christ

u/lickmyfupa 6h ago

There are nightmare individuals still defending P.Diddy for beating up his girlfriend and dragging her by her hair down a hallway and continuing to kick her and beat her while she was on the floor. It doesnt matter how bad the footage looks. Many of these types of people just arent going to give a shit. Im just glad they are pretty vocal about how they feel while defending him so people know who to steer clear of.

u/tabas123 6h ago

A lot of those people had Diddy’s back and saw nothing wrong with what he did until it was brought up that he might also be having sex with and abusing other men.

Being gay/bi is considered worse than being a rapist, sex trafficker, abuser, etc.

u/lickmyfupa 5h ago

Yeah, the homophobia is disgusting. Way too many people making gay jokes which had nothing to do with his many crimes. 50 cent was a perfect example. He made gay jokes on social media about Diddy for years. Thats not exactly victim advocacy.

Men will ALWAYS defend other men. Even if it’s men they’ve never spoken to, never met, have never and will never know. They WILL go to the ends of the earth to defend another man. Even if it’s just a story of a stranger man they’ve vaguely heard a story about secondhand, watch how many times another man will defend and excuse their actions. There will ALWAYS be men who ALWAYS defend men.

u/Fun-Pattern-8697 2h ago

As if women aren’t any different dumb ass, always yapping about being girls girls lmfao

u/catsarecutiepies 2h ago

Fr, it's crazy that women never support other women

u/Specific_Pear_665 2h ago

They will defend FICTIONAL MEN IN HYPOTHETICAL SCENARIOS before they agree with a woman.

I'm not even joking, you can make up a story about a gas station working being a total POS to you, when you've done truly nothing wrong, and they'll defend the fake employee!

u/SublimeErudite 2h ago

Some men, maybe even most men. But it certainly would never cross my mind

u/agiantdog33 1h ago

At this point most of my friends (except those who I haven't known for long enough yet) know that I don't really mind ending friendships when I find them distasteful.

u/Astralglamour 6h ago

Oh and then there will be some comments impugning womens goals of equality because this girl who is half the size of this oaf couldnt successfully fight back.

u/hexonica 5h ago

The world has always blamed women.

u/snippychicky22 5h ago

dude. everyone will look for any reason to make anyone the enemy

Yeah seriously. I just fucking can't with Reddit recently. I don't remember it being like this before... That woman who killed her kids has been a match to a freaking powder keg. I hate it

u/Western-Produce-276 4m ago

The guy is clearly a piece of shit in this scenario but Reddit absolutely does not try to make the woman the enemy lmao

u/bdubwilliams22 5h ago

I don’t get people that will make comments denigrating Reddit when they’re actively members of this forum. Out of all the social media shitholes that exist, I find Reddit to be the least shitty. If you hate Reddit so much, stop coming here and being part of it. Sure, there were a few shitty comments trying to excuse that asshole piece of shit, but almost every comment I’ve read is rightfully sticking up for the strong woman who chose to fight back, with an appropriate response.

u/SublimeErudite 1h ago

I’m reading more that go the other way, but agree, compared to twitter, this is low on the misogynistic scale

u/starkeuberangst 5h ago

The context of the video APPEARS to make her the initial aggressor, without the knowledge that’s it’s HER drink he grabbed. And THAT makes the whole thing suspect. OP did a poor job of explaining

u/Rare-Combination7438 4h ago

How do we even know that it was her drink? Because a comment on reddit says so?

u/ShardikOfTheBeam 4h ago

Who actually gives a fuck whose drink it was. In what way does it make any difference at all. Jesus.

u/Rare-Combination7438 4h ago

The comment I replied to specifically mentioned that it's her drink as if that excuses her assaulting him, so I replied specifically to that point. Maybe you should read the comment thread once more.

That said...

He tried to take a drink of his beer. She initiates a physical confrontation by attempting to grab it from his hand (this is assault). He retaliates by throwing the drink, which isn't smart, but she did just assault him

She then lunges at him to hit him.

He fights back, pushing her away and then to the ground (so that he has time to leave).

She gets up and picks up a weapon while he is actively attempting to leave.

He pushes her down again (absolutely reasonable considering she is brandishing a fucking weapon).

The video very clearly shows her as the aggressor and (almost) everything he does, aside from splashing her with a beer, appears to be done in an attempt to get her away from him while he tries to leave.

The video is clear as day but you and many others will continue to ignore objective reality in an attempt to blame the man for something that a woman appears to have started.

“Brandishing a weapon”. Haha. Oh man. That’s a good.

u/Rare-Combination7438 1h ago

A beer bottle can be considered a weapon. Holding a weapon in an attempt to threaten or intimdate is brandishing.

So, yes, she was brandishing a weapon.

u/Rare-Combination7438 4h ago

"Reddit will find any reason to make the woman the enemy"

You say this in a thread where the video clearly shows the woman as the initial aggressor while everyone blames the man. The irony is hilarious.

u/IchooseYourName 4h ago

Clearly? How so?

u/Rare-Combination7438 4h ago

How so what? She attempts to grab a beer from his hand. She attempts to slap him after he splashes it on her. She grabs the bottle to use as a weapon after she realizes he's willing to fight back and while he's already trying to walk away.

Did you not watch the video, or are you just ignoring what it shows to fit the judgement you've already decided upon?

u/JaysonTatecum 21m ago

You found his reaction to be fair to anything she did?

u/Rare-Combination7438 13m ago

Before I answer that, I'll ask: What do you think about her trying to grab his drink from his hand?

u/JaysonTatecum 9m ago

I think we need context to judge it at all but assuming she just blindly did it without any prior things happening… kinda dumb I guess? His immediate response to that was to throw her to the ground then curb stomp her in the stomach

u/showMeYourCroissant 2h ago

She just tried to take his drink, like why would your first action be splash someone with it? Is this an adequate reaction to you?

u/Rare-Combination7438 2h ago

"She just tried to take his drink"

...as if that's an acceptable thing to do?

u/showMeYourCroissant 2h ago

You will not die from it and it doesn't cause you any real harm. A normal person will react with "wtf are you doing" and not splash anyone with it. Would you?

u/Rare-Combination7438 1h ago

You wouldn't die from a beer being splashed on you either, so that's okay then, right?

Answer the question: Did she start it by getting physical first and was she wrong for doing so?

u/showMeYourCroissant 1h ago

Beer getting in your eyes isn't a heavenly feeling.

You didn't answer the question, would you splash someone if that person tried to take your drink?

u/Rare-Combination7438 1h ago

I might, but I couldn't say for sure how I might react to someone assaulting me.

Now, will you answer my question, or will you run away and/or avoid it?

u/SkepticMech 26m ago

Here is what we can see in the video:

- He picks up a drink. Is it his? Is it Hers? We can't say for sure

  • She grabs at it, which, combined with his attempt to dodge the grab results in some of the drink spilling over the side.
  • His response is to throw the remaining contents directly into her face.

Her actions are at most, rude. We lack the context needed to rule on her state of mind/intent vis-à-vis causing a spill. All we know is that she grabbed the cup. She did not make contact with the man, and the spill was the result of their combined actions, so from the evidence available, we can't say if the spill would have occurred had either party acted differently.

What we can say, is that after she released the cup, the man, and the man alone, immediately responded by throwing the drink in her face. We can see clear intent in his movements and the results. This is, quite literally, assault under the US legal codes, and a clear escalation by conscious decision.

u/Rare-Combination7438 14m ago

I love the mental gymnastics to turn her grabbing at his drink into a group effort lmao

u/IchooseYourName 4h ago

Never mind, you dirt rotten troll

u/Rare-Combination7438 appears to be a randomly generated, default auto-assign Reddit username. Because it follows Reddit's standard format (Adjective-Noun-Number), multiple users or automated accounts across the platform often have very similar structures.

u/Rare-Combination7438 4h ago

Yes, it's a randomly generated username. That means... Nothing. Congratulations.

u/EnvironmentalTip8967 5h ago

The reality a lot of you live in must be fascinating. I have no idea what it must look like to not think epistemically and just not have any type of ontological framework or engage in philosophical thought at more than any novice level.

u/Infinite-Condition41 2h ago

She grabbed his drink though.

Her glass is still sitting on the table.

u/SublimeErudite 1h ago

Why is this such an important point to you? Considering how the video ends. Doesn’t justify it in the slightest

u/Fun-Pattern-8697 2h ago

Lmao that’s rich, women acting like they aren’t given every grace in this app is hilarious.

u/Local5946 6h ago

It's not that the woman is the enemy, it's that you have to believe the story about motive being her rejecting him, and then you see him picking up a drink and her trying to grab it back. It's occam's razor to assume that's the motive. It's still wrong, though, and it's absolutely not self defense, but we're trying to figure out a story here from a 26 second clip. You can't always believe the headline. And then you have RT logo top right, so one is naturally extra suspicious

u/Astralglamour 6h ago

Interesting that you assume the drink was his and she was trying to take it rather than the reverse. Men murder women for rejecting them all the time, this is not some uncommon scenario. It's just uncommon for it to be caught on camera.

u/_10032 5h ago

There does appear to be a second cup that's closer to her.

u/[deleted] 5h ago

u/_10032 5h ago

found a news article

https://www.boredpanda.com/woman-rejects-man-on-2nd-date-brutal-reaction/

“I never once touched him,” she wrote. “Yes, I did go to dump his beer out after sitting there being berated and called every name in the book, after already 24 hours of being harassed by 6 different accounts every time I’d block a new one.”

u/Astralglamour 4h ago

It looked to me like he was grabbing her beer, but as I've said elsewhere in this thread- if you think grabbing at a beer justifies attempted murder, you have issues.

u/Fun-Pattern-8697 2h ago

Attempted murder lmfao

u/Astralglamour 2h ago

The guy throat punched her with enough force to throw her back several feet. Was that just a love tap? F off.

u/_10032 4h ago

I don't think that at all, he was 100% wrong with the violence.

Just didn't think the drink reason made any sense.

u/Astralglamour 4h ago

Drunk people do stupid shit. If she was grabbing at his beer because he'd been insulting her that was clearly not wise, nor was being alone with him on the patio or even meeting up with someone who was stalking her online. But she is not responsible for his actions, his stalking, how he handled his rejection, or his choice to try and maim/kill her because he didn't get what he thought he deserved. He was going to be violent no matter what she did because he is a fucked up dangerous asshole.

Because so many guys like this are out there- women should involve the authorities as soon as possible. Imagine if he had had a gun or a knife?

"if you think grabbing at a beer justifies attempted murder"

At no point was an attempt made to kill. She, however, did grab a weapon after being shoved off because she started getting physical.

The mental gymnastics are quite impressive.

It's closer to him, why would I assume otherwise?

There is nothing in the video that shows us that he got rejected

u/Local5946 6h ago

The bottle is empty. You pour the beer from the bottle in the glass. Are you suggesting I think it's ok to assault someone over them taking your drink? You have issues with reading and critical thinking. There's another drink right by her phone closer to her

u/Life-Is-A-Bad-Trip 5h ago

Identity politics has boiled down into gender stuff. We're so cooked. Gender equality going to go back 60 years over the next 5 with the way we're going, sadly. Critical thinking and objectivity no longer matter if you can identify with a party of an issue or disagreement.

We're cooked chat.

u/SublimeErudite 2h ago

So you pretty much said that it doesn’t matter, cause his action was totally not self defense, but then go on about the thing that doesn’t matter, to move the attention to what SHE did. Ridiculous. HE kicked her a second time after she was down, throwing her down HARD. Pathetic

u/Johnny_Suede 32m ago

I reckon the way it went down was they were on a 2nd date (as far as he was concerned at least), he bought her a beer and then she dumped him. He then said, "well then I am taking my beer back", she tried to grab it and then he threw it in her face.

If 1) my assumption is true and 2) that's where it ended I would probably say she deserved it. Who the hell accepts a drink off a date only to dump them immediately after?

It then looked like she was ready to throw hands and was aggressive and it might be possible to argue he was defending himself. But he is way bigger and stronger than her and his use of force was far too excessive even if you could make an argument of defense.

u/AIBotnmbr99 4h ago

It’s women who post “DARVO” under every video of a man being abused without any response. You are a little confused. Men support men defending themselves, and that’s perfectly ok.

Keep your hands to yourself and that’s the end of it.

u/Kjufka 3h ago

Reddit will find any reason to make the woman the enemy even if [she is the victim]

Okay first of all: what are you even talking about? because like 99% of the time it's the other way around

she deserved it because she was reaching for his beer right?

Second of all if you assume she reached for his beer, then from the video you could conclude she got splashed for that and nothing more. He's still sitting down after that.

Then a very important detail happens: she stood up and threw hands at him while he was still sitting down. Not sure how jumped over that fact, but this is probably (and by probably I mean certainly) the reason why.

u/SublimeErudite 1h ago

No topic of discussion anywhere, about anything is a 99 to 1 split. You’re completely full of it, trying to pretend you’re being objective & logical about the topic.

u/Kjufka 1h ago

No topic of discussion anywhere, about anything is a 99 to 1 split.

Breaking news: Reddit person claims to have never heard of echo chambers, despite living in one.

u/AshingiiAshuaa 4h ago

Not "find any reason"... This is something they both escalated at every step. She tries to grab his beer (escalation), then he throws it at her (escalation), then she tries to slap him (escalation), he shoves her away and off the bench, she gets up and lunges at him, he kicks her down while she's trying to get up (probably not needed), then she gets up and picks up a bottle and moves toward him threatening to glass him (escalation), he throat pushes her.

Neither wanted to back down but she was at least 50% of this. It doesn't matter who had the penis and who had the vagina. Just look at what they did.

u/Successful_Tea7979 6h ago

I mean, the dumb bitch slapped him. It doesn’t matter that he’s stronger than her. He has the right to fight back. She started a fight, she got one 🤷

u/CandyStomp 5h ago

The dumb bitch couldn't handle being rejected. He grabbed her drink because his feelings were hurt by a big boy conversation. Then he quickly proved that she couldn't have been more right about throwing this garbage in the trash where he belongs. He got fired and I hope he goes to jail. Lmao Her only mistake was showing him enough respect to break up in person. He isn't even deserving of a fuck off text.

u/Lucy333999 5h ago

⬆️⬆️⬆️🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

u/toth_moth 5h ago

You’re tripping. She never hit him and he instigated. He threatened her, so she tried to take the drink, he threw it on her, she got up, and then he pushed and kicked her. Further shit ensued. When did she hit him???

u/catsarecutiepies 2h ago

Immediately after he splashed her.

How do you know she tried to take his drink in response to him threatening her?

u/Life-Is-A-Bad-Trip 5h ago

Well who's beer it is completely changed the interaction from an objective point of view.

If it's his beer she reached, he splashes her. Douchey move. But grabbing the beer is fucked up. But then she goes for the smack. To which he responds. Then after getting up. She grabs a bottle and takes a step forward. Really appears like she's pushing the interaction forward and he's responding to it.

So she looks to be instigigsting and escalating if it's his beer.

If it's her beer then the whole thing flips. He's being an asshole playing games. She's trying to get her beer to which he splashes her. Now he deserves the slap that he blocks then downs her. And her grabbing a bottle feels a lot more defensive than it does offensive.

Watching the video with no context she appears to be instigating.

I wouldn't jump straight to people being sexist incels even though this site is riddled with them.

Shit happens fast and context matters. Especially so in situations like this.

If it was her beer I hope he gets what he deserves. If it was his beer I hope she learned a lesson.

u/Mission_Access_210 6h ago edited 5h ago

She hardly got beat the fuck up. She got pushed twice. She also was grabbing this guy's drink and trying to take it from him to stop him from drinking, which nobody mentions. Technically the first thing you can see from the video is her violating this guy's space and possessions.

But the worst part about this is y'all are literally being manipulated by Russian counterintelligence. RT is a Russian counterintelligence network that aims to divide Americans and this is just playing into their playbook.

u/Nani_700 6h ago

Ok we can do this to you then? Since it's barely a fight?

u/[deleted] 6h ago

[deleted]

u/Nani_700 5h ago

Good for you.

u/Gefilte_F1sh 4h ago

If I just assaulted you? Absolutely.

u/circularsquare204597 6h ago

it was her drink i’m pretty sure. he grabbed it and she tried to grab it back and he threw it in her face. either way, even if she was grabbing his drink there’s 0 reason to throw a drink in her face and push her….?

u/Local5946 6h ago

It's not ok but I don't know why you're pretty sure that it's her drink. It sounds like a bias to me, the video doesn't suggest that, you base it on an external source and a personal bias. It looks like there's another drink closer to her phone, next to the vape. But it doesn't matter, it's still wrong to assault her over that

u/Mission_Access_210 6h ago

I had a chick throw a drink in my face at a bar once and everyone laughed and told me it was my fault. So are we going to have egalitarianism here or is this going to be double standards again? Or are we going to go back to women never do anything wrong again?

u/chud-doctor 6h ago

Yeah I can see why those people laughed at you

u/Mission_Access_210 5h ago edited 5h ago

Technically it was assault according to the law. I'm glad to know that you don't need any other facts or information to decide that I was wrong, which shows you what guys have to face on a daily basis when women accuse them of stuff.

That's the exact same thing that happened at the bar too. And that woman went on her merry way, learning that she can get away with throwing drinks in the faces of guys just because she's a chick. She probably did it to a few more guys later as well.

That kind of learned experience makes me look at cases like this and think, "Hey maybe there's more to the story than just this guy's an asshole."

u/chud-doctor 5h ago edited 5h ago

I never said you were wrong, just that I can see why people laughed at you.

you what guys have to face on a daily basis when women accuse them of stuff.

This isn't like a daily thing for most guys. acting like women just go around accusing men of things they didn't do and you wonder why people laughed at you when a woman threw a drink in your face lol.

That's the exact same thing that happened at the bar too. And that woman went on her merry way, learning that she can get away with throwing drinks in the faces of guys just because she's a chick. She probably did it to a few more guys later as well.

She pushed you to the ground and throat punched you?

That kind of learning experience makes me look at cases like this and think, "Hey maybe there's more to the story than just this guy's an asshole."

There really isn't any justification for what he did. The fact you're hoping there is one says a lot. He wasn't defending himself from a threat, he made all the aggressive moves.

I'm sorry people didn't take you having a drink thrown in your face seriously. It's truly a grievous crime.c

u/chud-doctor 5h ago

Not feeling sorry for having a drink thrown in your face because you're desperately trying to justify a man reacting aggressively and assaulting a woman for not wanting to date him isn't misandry lmao.
