A dogs love for their owners, is a force that cant be beaten, when i moved out of home into my own house my parents dogs do something similar when they see me again, for them they cant figure why i never return home again, and shower me with affection everytime i see them
Its always a joy when i return home and see them

I took care of my friend's dog for a few months when she was in rough times. I'd always had a soft spot for that dog and was happy to have her.
Things got better, she went home, and I didn't see her for about 6 months.
When I finally went to visit the dog acted like I was the second coming of Christ.
Even my own dogs don't love me that much lol

My eldest is at the age where he's trying to move out and find a place with friends, and I've already resigned to him taking our dog with him because I wouldn't want to break her heart. She's the dog we got that replaced my adult life companion when she passed years ago.
Hug those puppers for me π«

My oldest sister had to leave her dog with my mom because mom's dog and her dog grew up together (we got them like 3 months apart when they were puppies) and she couldn't separate them.

You're in their pack, you're not supposed to leave.
Pack stays together for survival. They don't understand why you leave them.

We had a chiweenie (chihuahua/dachsund mix nicknamed either the Mexican Hot Dog or German taco) who looked just like this dog and did exactly the same thing. You only had to leave her for half an hour and it was like you had been gone for years. π She passed away in May. We miss that little pooch π’

I read one time "How can you be mad at someone who misses you when you're asleep?"

Does anyone know what mix of breeds this doggo is?
•

It looks like a pretty standard Chihuahua that hasn't been bred into deformity.

But this trip is a really long time for him, especially since a dog's lifespan is so much shorter than ours
