watch this Police have deployed armed guards to the home of Trenton Garner, the cop who was so "in fear for his life" that he killed HeeHaw, a 4-month-old donkey who just wanted to play.

Dick out for HeeHaw

u/Gromitlikescheese 1d ago

Jarambe would approve. Also if cops are afraid of 4 month old mini donkeys, they should be accountants. “in fear for my life is the approved excuse for murder. They should at least have to present a realistic cause for the fear in court. This is bull. Well if it was a bull I could maybe understand a bit.

u/No_Internal9345 1d ago

I'm in fear for my life every time I see a cop but I'm not allowed to murder them.

u/Standard-March6506 18h ago

Apparently, the life of a police officer is way more valuable than your life, or mine.

u/land-league-inspo 17h ago

Well and we are the ones who are making that true, so we should probably fix that.

I honestly think if you’re so afraid of a freaking miniature donkey that it drives you to use lethal force I would say that phobia is so extreme you can’t even be trusted to be a safe member of society.

What’s next? This guy is gonna hear a glass drop and shoot up the restaurant he’s in?

This fear response is so disproportionate I seriously think this guy belongs in a psychiatric ward.

u/maple_crowtoast 1d ago

See, this is always my thought when they use past incidents as an excuse for currently reckless behavior.

"Well, XYZ happened to the officer, and so that makes them on edge."

Like, that is such a shit reason. If they're that jumpy, they shouldn't be in the field with a lethal freaking weapon!

This. It’s their go to get out of accountability for shooting first. The job is dangerous. If you’re unable to accept that then it’s not the career for you.

u/whoknewidlikeit 1d ago

i was a firefighter. inherently dangerous to go into a burning building.

how many times did i blame the structure for the fire and my voluntarily assumed risk? never. were there times i was scared? yep. never blamed anyone else, never ran away.

I see him quitting soon. Look at him..scared of a little donkey. He'll never live that down in his town.

u/HenryDorsettCase47 1d ago

Not likely. All cops are cowards. That’s why they are so quick to jump straight to deadly force. What this guy did is nothing new and I’m sure he feels the same way about it all cops do: completely justified.

And if there is anything worse or more dangerous than a scared cop, it’s a scared cop who resents his community for mocking him. If this guy stays on the force he’s likely to be a terror to everyone who comes across him.

u/MissninjaXP 1d ago

A local deputy shot my friend's dog with a shotgun. Now, in all fairness, the dog was an American Bully, so it was an intimidating dog. However, he shot the dog through a closed window. The dog was shut inside, and the cop went to his car, got a shotgun, and killed the dog through a closed window in "self defense".

Fire those fuckwits. If they can't control themselves appropriately around a small animal what might they do around people?

u/Mr__O__ 1d ago edited 1d ago

For real. If a miniature donkey coming towards you 1. scares you, 2. you decide to use lethal force against it—you do not have the mental capacity to be a cop or even own a firearm. Cops are such bloodthirsty pussies.

u/BraisedBullshi 1d ago

What if I told you they're told to lie about being scared and they just want to kill?

u/LimeDry7124 1d ago

That's why they don't want to release the video. Because they weren't scared.

Plus, it's an area with plenty of farmers and farmland. You'd think they'd have some idea of what to do around farm animals. And if they don't then they should stay out of the enclosures and pastures of the animals.

u/your_dads_asshole 1d ago

If an adult donkey ran towards me I'd probably take a couple broken ribs before murdering such a gentle animal. Shooting the ground or towards the sky were also options and those would have scared the donkey away without killing him.

A tyrannical government needs violent idiots to enforce their tyranny.

u/BrightNooblar 1d ago

Wait until you hear about acorns.

u/freedombuckO5 1d ago

Those are the exact people they want as cops. Smart people question orders. Stupid people obey without question.

u/awkgem 21h ago

They also went into the property without permission. They could easily have asked that any animals be put away, who goes into a pasture and then is terrified and surprised when there's an animal? They're just lucky it happened to be a miniature petting zoo donkey, otherwise the police would likely get away with saying it was a threat

u/EonMagister 17h ago

Something I don't see many people pointing out is that the entire reason they were out in the first place was because they were trying to locate a small child. So when something small came running up to them...they shot it

Reminds me of this:

A DEA Agent stopped at a ranch in Texas and talked to an old rancher. He told the rancher, “I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs.” The rancher said, “okay, but don’t go into that field over there…”, as he pointed out the location. The DEA Agent verbally exploded and said, “Look mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me!” Reaching into his rear back pocket, the arrogant officer removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher. “See this badge?! This badge means I can go wherever I want… On any land! No questions asked, no answers given! Do you understand?!”

The rancher kindly nodded, apologized, and went about his chores. Moments later the rancher heard loud screams, he looked up and saw the DEA agent running for his life, being chased by the rancher’s big Santa Gertrudis Bull…… With every step the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it was likely that he’d sure enough get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified. The old rancher threw down his tools, ran as fast as he could to the fence, and yelled at the top of his lungs……

“YOUR BADGE! SHOW HIM YOUR BADGE!”

I seriously hope this family sues the cops asses ( no pun intended) off. I hope the entire community the family live in stands behind them!!

u/gillyboatbruff 1d ago

Several years ago in Utah, a cop went into a back yard without a warrant or permission while looking for a lost child, and shot and killed a dog in the yard. Absolutely nothing happened to him. As I recall, the most the owner could sue for was the monetary value of the dog.

→ More replies (1)

u/CheekyMenace 1d ago

They've already gotten around $140k from GoFundMe so far.

u/areallynoobgamer 1d ago

My cat was adopted.

His fee was 17 dollars.

He’s since spent around 10k in vet fees and also travel fees since I moved overseas with him

His food expenses over the years are probably in the low couple thousands.

Overall maybe 20k rounded up for everything.

If I lost him today due to some fuckwit murdering him. 140k wouldn’t make me whole. 1.4m wouldn’t make me whole.

For some, pets are just accessories. But for others, pets are companions, family members.

The people who are supposed to keep the community safe are the ones terrorising the community.

Sadly it won't be the cop that is getting sued because of that stupid qualified immunity it will be the local taxpayers that have to pay for this lawsuit

→ More replies (1)

u/whynotchristy 8h ago

Here's the thing, though...when they sue, and I hope they do and I hope they win, the tax payers are the one footing that bill. Nothing of monetary significance happens to the cop. I can't find nationwide data but in 2025 the city of Chicago paid out $258.96 million in police misconduct cases.

Designate a policeman's pension as the first to be garnished and I bet you see those misconduct numbers drop real quick.

This shit happens all the time, it just usually doesn't get reported. A local deputy killed my friend's dog with a shotgun through a CLOSED CAR WINDOW, in "self defense". As in, the dog was locked inside, the officer and my friend were outside the car, and the cop when to the police car, got his shotgun, and killed the dog through a car window, all in self defense. They're only tough when they have their boys backing them up but the minute to leave them with a baby donkey they pull out a gun.

u/Some-Guy-12358 1d ago

They're only tough when they have their boys backing them

Deputy Dipshit did have backup. His buddy, Deputy Fuckwit, tased the mini donkey but it didn't incapacitate it (probably because, y'know tasers are designed to work on people), so Deputy Dipshit shot it.

Thankfully they've shown his face and name so that he can be named and shamed for murdering a mini baby donkey.

That body cam footage absolutely needs to be shown to the owner. The only reason why it wouldn't been shown immediately, would be because the officer had no reason to shoot HeeHaw and the police know that if that footage got shown to them, then that would prove that HeeHaw was murdered in cold blood for no reason.
