Had never heard of this model or seen one of these before today. Super cool woman owned it and told me a bit about its history and getting it imported.

My question… are these rare? Were they popular back in the day and are they popular now among the import/JDM community?

I think the owner of the car modded the doors and put sunbeam doors on the car and made ot look futuristic by adding gullwing doors. It could by like his owner homage to the 300sl but wanted somthing british

I was reading some Black Jack by Osamu Tezuka for nostalgia reasons, and I started to find a panel that clearly shows the car he's driving. It kind of reminded me of a 1972 Nissan Cedric 2000GL, but I have a feeling it was a mish mash of Japanese cars at the time.

My gf was hit but a vehicle of some kind last night and all thats left are these pieces of what I assume is a headlamp of some kind. Would anyone be able to recognize what vehicle this could come from?

Edit: I changed my mind, the front grill is way too different to be a yenko, and had a shorter body imo
