Also saw Lonestar take a W during this recent beta. My mind was blown but I gotta say, I was proud of those boys.

my squad had trouble getting on green this weekend. we had 10 people in our squad. so we decided to go blue team because it was easy to get a spot there π
we won most our games with the top 5 players usualy being blue with maybe 1 red or green. i bet we tilted alot of green and reds. i have to say though green will always be my home team. i have been playing on green since KOTH first came out in arma

I know everyone be roasting the poor blues by i played with a large group and blue was the easiest to get everyone on and so pushed normal blues onto red and green (sorry) and we won so many games this recent beta

Nice AI fake news. This screen isnβt even built into the game based on my experience

Serious question - I've only played for a couple of days and subbed here yesterday, so I'm out of the loop. What's the deal with blue always losing and green always winning?
There must be a reason for this. Is there a psychological explanation or an in-game mechanic? I've played for maybe 6 hours to and noticed it myself as well.
If we don't know why, but it is something that happens in a statistically significant manner, shouldn't devs implement some kind of randomisation or introduce other faction colours to mitigate it?

There are several factors and possibilities.
Map layout: Green and red have easier access to high-ground towers / natural FOB locations. Blue's territory is lower altitude.
Spawns: The spawns are more T-shaped than triangular, and blue is in the middle - meaning they are often under assault from both fronts, more often than green and red going head to head.
Camo: The blue player models generally stand out more in the forresty areas, where their blue suits are more visible than the black of red, or the green of green.
History: In ARMA, Blufor was generally considered the weaker side (don't ask me why, I didn't play) so players "in the know" would go green or red. These habbits carry over, since many players come from ARMA.
Psycology: Hand in hand with the previous point, there is a general concensus that blue is bad. Meaning experienced players go to red or green.
Availability: Due to prior two points, blue is often easier to get onto, since red and green are filled quickly.

How on earth spawn points are hard tied to factions and not randomised between them?
