Having already looked past the 45-minute cap, the standing room only (or mostly!), and the two drink maximum, I am unwilling to look past this: these patrons were (randomly) assigned “seats” (according to the receipts!) that were essentially slivers of concrete, facing a blank concrete wall, and pushed up against the emergency exit. Did I mention they crammed 10 of them back in here—including 5 around that one particular slab that’s no more than 4 feet long. This “cove” (as the server referred to it) can “actually hold 12!” How magical.

I am trying to think of anywhere else on property where I feel so blatantly nickeled and dimed—at least to this degree. Absolutely shameless in terms of trying to extract the maximum amount of dollars in exchange for the littlest amount of experience and effort in return. Thought about saying something to the castmember hostess, but I know she’s not responsible. These are assigned and available “seats” after all.

EDIT: several have commented that this could be avoided by going late in the day and it’s less busy—which I’m sure is true! This was at 1:30 PM. But the experience is not marketed as something that’s only to be enjoyed in the evening/as the park empties out and, while it was busy, this was the operating capacity of the venue. This was not some special circumstance (“oh we’re absolutely swamped and need to find somewhere for these people to go!”). Additional groups instantly replaced people as soon as they left. This is a regularly used service location, in other words and one that is by its nature far inferior to any of other (already lackluster) options in the bar.

I almost don't want to spoil it because there's never an issue getting a table. This is the most slept on restaurant on property, not just Epcot.

The food is close enough to authentic to make me a little homesick, the entertainment is awesome, the drinks are cold and huge and the staff is always so nice when humoring my progressively failing German.

Besides the obvious negative effects that AI has had on graphic design, the “food” doesn’t even look all that appetizing.

Other signs include the mule showing blackberries as a garnish (the drink just has blackberry syrup, not the actual fruit) and errors in the Disney Dining Plan logos.

This was $17.50. I know I got an up charge item with the fries but still $15.50 for one small tender, one fish stick, and two shrimps with hush puppies is a slap in the face. I distinctly it remember being at least 2 if not 3 of each not even a couple of years ago what is happening?

Had dinner with the kids at Akershaus at Epcot. All of the princesses were rounding the tables to meet the kids.

Ariel came to our table and I held up my dinner fork and asked her if she knew what it was.

Without missing a beat, she says, “That sir, is called a fork”. Thought she wasn’t playing along at first until after a long pause she said, “did you think it was a dinglehopper? Would you like to know the difference? A fork has 4 prongs while a dinglehopper has 3.” She then smirked, took a picture with my kids, and strolled away singing.

Half a grilled cheese, tomato basil soup, tots, beverage. The perfect adult-sized snack.

My 10-year-old daughter and I went to Animal Kingdom the other day and had lunch at Tiffins. Something happened that seemed so absurd in the moment that we both laughed, but the more I've thought about it afterward, the more uncomfortable I am about it.

She ordered the steak, which came out already sliced. The food runner who brought it over started talking a mile a minute. Our regular waiter came over and said, "I'll take it from here," but the food runner didn't acknowledge him and stayed at our table.

He started cutting my daughter's already-sliced steak into even smaller pieces while chatting with her. It was odd—she's 10 and perfectly capable of cutting her own food—but we'd constantly been asked where we were from, what our favorite ride was, etc. all day, so I assumed this was just another over the top Disney interaction.

He asked my daughter what her favorite animal was and, before she could really answer, HE PUT A PIECE OF STEAK INTO HER MOUTH.

My daughter and I looked at each other and laughed because it was so unexpected and bizarre. I think we were both basically thinking, "What is happening?"

Then he said, "I'm going to keep asking you questions and then feeding you food," continued talking about animals, and when she'd finished chewing the steak, HE FED HER A BITE OF MAC AND CHEESE.

At that point I said, "Okay, that's enough." The whole encounter was like 2 minutes. And I never expected him to start feeding her, and then to do it again.

He immediately stopped and said something like, "Oh, I'm just so used to it with my own kids, I thought..." and trailed off and left.

Our regular waiter later comped our drinks. We wondered if he'd simply forgotten to charge us for them, and then went about our day. But I woke up thinking about the whole encounter again.

I've raised three kids and we eat at restaurants ALL THE TIME. Between them that's roughly 40 combined years of kid/restaurant interactions, plus my own childhood- plus I owned a restaurant for 13 years!, and I have never in my life seen a restaurant employee spontaneously put food directly into a child's mouth. In fact I think with allergies and what not being very well handled these days, it would be forbidden, if you even needed to tell a stranger not to.

I left feedback afterward hoping someone from Tiffins might contact me, but nobody did. When my husband heard what happened, he was livid and tried to make a complaint. He was directed to a Guest Services email, and we never received a response.

My daughter wasn't bothered. She honestly felt like she was on a prank show.

So I'm genuinely curious, especially from current/former Cast Members or people who go to Disney frequently:

Is feeding a child a Disney thing? If so I may not eat at a table service restaurant again there. Or is this just weird?

Apparently opening today, so I haven't tried it. Maybe they're delicious but looking at the menu and pics, I cant be the only one thinking Hot Pockets, right?

I’m a pass holder and travel here 4-6 times per year, and I always do one weekend during the food and wine festival.

Over the last few years I’ve noticed a steady decline in guest behavior, especially with respect to alcohol. I think it is great that you can have a drink while walking around the park. Yet, it feels increasingly like Bourbon Street and not Epcot.

The sheer amount of drunken behavior today was just insane. I saw three different adults vomitting, multiple people who tripped and fell in traffic, stumbling, swearing, and too many arguments to count. The stupid “Drunk at Epcot is the best kind of drunk” t-shirts are everywhere.

I get that food and wine is probably quite profitable and that the majority of park guests are extremely well behaved. I love the fact that Epcot allows for you to have an adult experience if you want. Something has to give, though. I don’t know if I will come back next year if this trend continues.

With that off of my chest, I’m going to go clutch my pearls.

On my last visit to WDW last September, I skipped on going to Trader Sam's Grog Grotto because the wait would have bled into my MNSSHP time, thinking I could just go the next time I'm in town.

With the new resort restrictions, I reached out to see if there would be any way to go without a Polynesian Resort room (out of my price range ATM) or dining reservations since it would kind of be a hat on a hat to get dining reservations on top of Grog Grotto. Turns out that will not be the case, as per Cast Member support.

I hope they add a reservation system to the Grog Grotto akin to Beak and Barrell; this stinks! Thanks, D'Amaro!

As a young kid I remember going up to the top floor of the Coca Cola store in Disney springs and they had alcoholic drinks, and now that I’m an adult I went up here excited to get an alcoholic beverage just to realize there aren’t any anymore.

Does anyone know what happened for them to stop serving alcohol? Was there some sort of incident or something? TIA (:

I've been seeing for years influencers and normal people on this sub saying the Italy pizza window is the best pizza on property. Well I finally got it yesterday and it was SO DISAPPOINTING. Even though we went when it had a steady line it was cold so the cheese was solid, not melty. Not enough sauce either so super dry. But the most egregious issue was that every corner and edge piece had massive amounts of crust. Literally the corner pieces had less than half coverage of cheese and sauce (and pepperoni if you got the pepperoni). It was all bread. They gave us a corner and edge and I was so pissed at the lack of coverage on the corner but luckily my spouse is a psycho and wanted that piece for the crust (or they were just being nice because I commented about it).

I could see where maybe it would be considered good pizza if you got a fresh hot middle slice, still not the best on property though. But since the odds of receiving exactly that are pretty slim we will be passing on the pizza window in the future.

And the only reason I think this is because the amount of parents I see COMPLAIN over the years. “There was no food for my children.” “We were seated with other people.” “It was standing room only.” “There were drunk people there.”

It’s literally a bar. Those are all normal occurrences for a bar. I keep seeing negative reviews from parents and it’s so frustrating. It’s a great place, but you have to realize it is a bar and you need to decide what you’re comfortable with your children seeing. But don’t get mad when it’s exactly how a bar is.

Not the “best” restaurant. Not the fanciest. Not the one with the highest reviews. I mean the place you personally return to every visit, no matter what.

Everyone has that one spot they can’t skip — whether it’s the food, the vibe, the memories, or just a tradition that stuck.

Our family has visited numerous restaurants including Cinderellas Royal Table, Be Our Guest, Biergarten, Le Cellier Steakhouse, Spice Road Table, Coral Reef, Nine Dragons, Teppan Edo, La Cantina de San Angel, Victoria and Albert’s, Cosmic Rays, ‘Ohana’s, California Grill, Shula’s Steakhouse, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Hoop-Dee-Doo Review, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, Woody’s Roundup, Boma, and Citricos to name a few.

The one we keep going back to is ‘Ohana’s. We love the family seating/family style dining, the wonderful food, the atmosphere, the views, the smells, and the staff. It just can’t be beat.

So what’s yours, and what keeps pulling you back each time?

I really wanted to like Space 220. After seeing all the videos online, I was excited to finally try it with my family. Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had at Disney.

The biggest draw is obviously the atmosphere, but it just didn't live up to the hype for me. In videos it looks incredible, but in person it felt surprisingly sterile. I understand it's supposed to resemble a space station, but the dining room just felt like a giant black void. We were lucky enough to be seated by one of the "windows," but aside from the occasional astronaut floating by, there really wasn't much to look at. Maybe sitting at the bar offers a better view, but the overall ambiance wasn't nearly as immersive as I expected.

The food was where things really fell apart. I don't care for the prix fixe concept here because it felt like poor value for what you actually receive. My wife liked her chicken but the rice was not cooked properly at all.. it was sticky and wet....and my kids enjoyed their meals, so not everything was a miss. But my entrée was terrible.

I upgraded from the New York strip to the filet after asking the server how large it was, and I was told it was an 8-ounce filet. There's absolutely no way it was 8 ounces. I've spent years as an executive chef and used to cut 5-ounce filets myself, and this looked almost identical in size. At best, I'd call it 5-6 ounces.

To make matters worse, I ordered it medium, and it arrived dry with absolutely no juice left in it. It was mostly gray throughout with only the slightest hint of pink. It certainly wasn't the medium filet I expected. I sent it back and just asked for the burger instead.

That wasn't much better. It was a very basic burger on what tasted like a stale bun, served with the same generic fries you can get almost anywhere in the parks. For a premium signature restaurant, I expected a lot more attention to quality and execution.

The desserts were also just pure disappointment. The smores thing and apple pie were not good and we barely even ate it

The service itself was friendly and professional, so I have no complaints there. But when you're paying these prices, the food has to deliver, and for me it simply didn't.

The comparison became even more obvious the next day when we visited Nomad Lounge at Animal Kingdom. The food, atmosphere, value, and overall experience were on a completely different level.

For me, Space 220 is a restaurant that's built around the concept rather than the food. If you've always wanted to see it once, maybe stop in for a drink at the lounge. But based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend spending the money on the full prix fixe meal.

After refreshing the Disney website hourly for weeks, I was finally able to secure a Beak and Barrel reservation for a "perfect" time for our very quick trip to Disney. Unfortunately, it was kind of a letdown.

My husband and I have adults kids. We LIKE kids. I enjoy watching kids have fun at Disney and usually end up chatting with the kids around me. However, we were NOT prepared to be seated with a family at Beak and Barrel.

First, I guess it was on me for not realizing that they did "community seating" there. I just assumed it would be either party seating or you would be at a bartop or something.

When we arrived and they told us about the possibility for community seating at checkin, we were surprised but hoped for the best. As they walked us through the main bar room, we saw lots of 2-top and 4-top tables. But then they walked us back to almost the very back of the restaurant and seated us with a FAMILY. My husband I just kind of looked at each other and looked at the seater and then he took off.

It was INCREDIBLY awkward. A family with small kids is sitting enjoying themselves and these 2 strange adults just get plopped down to their table. They were seated around the booth and we were put on stools across the outside of the table from them. They seemed uncomfortable. We were definitely uncomfortable!

My husband texted me and asked if I wanted to leave. I said let's just have a quick drink.

From where we were sitting, we couldn't see any of the "fun" stuff happening in the room at all (unlike the more open seating at Oga's or Haunted Mansion bar on the cruise ships). So where we were with this family... on uncomfortable stools... with our backs to everything interesting you would want to look at.

We've been seated at tables like this before in other Disney locations that were not nearly as weird. Like multiple couples being put around the same bar. Or a mix of adult groups. But for $20 + tax + tip for a drink to sit awkwardly looking at a family in a booth, I wouldn't even want to go back. And between me and my husband, he was even more uncomfortable about it than I was because he is very introverted and HATES making small talk with people he doesn't know.

We did complain at a "blue tent." Not to get anything out of it (we didn't even give our names) but to give feedback that perhaps matching groups at tables like that would be a bit better than just adding two random people to a family table.

Lots of moms are complaining about the amount of money that goes into buying food at the parks and making reservations for restaurants.. which provokes them to say they’re never going back? Nobody is obligated to spend money at a sit down restaurant at the parks, buy snacks there, or get a LL pass. I thought it would be common sense that stuff like this is expensive at theme parks? You’re also not obligated to get a LL pass. Yes it’s for convenience but even back in the 2000s you had to stand in the lines for hours if you didn’t have a fast pass and yes it is an all day park… it’s been like that forever. Whatever you get to ride you ride whatever you don’t you don’t. Just enjoy the experience but people wanna make it more complicated than it is.
