I found this vintage (maybe 50s-80s) Lapis Lazuli necklace with a 14k yellow and white gold clasp. It weighs 100g almost exactly and 28” long. I did the acetone test to see if it was dyed and no blue came off on the swab. There’s a photo with a flash and without a flash. I’m not as familiar with Lapis as some other stones so I was looking to see if this was as good quality as it seems to be and what we might guess something like this is worth.

I inherited this pendant from my great-grandmother, and I would really love to find out anything I can about it — its age, origin, style, maker, symbolism, or what the stone might be.

Unfortunately, there’s no one left who can tell me where she got it or what it meant to her, so I've reached a bit of a dead end.

My great-grandmother is remembered in our family as an exceptionally kind woman, which makes this little piece of her feel particularly special to me. I don't care whether it has any monetary value — I'm much more interested in recovering some of its history.

My grandma was born in 1928, to give some date, and the family was Norwegian. I don't know whether the pendant was bought in Norway, inherited by her, given to her, or acquired somewhere else, so I don't want to make too many assumptions about its origin or age.

I've looked for markings but haven't found any that I can see. I've included the clearest photographs I can get of the front, back, setting and chain/details.

If anyone recognises the style, stone, setting, period, possible country of origin, or even has a similar piece tucked away in a jewellery box somewhere, I would be incredibly grateful to hear from you. Even a small clue could give me somewhere new to look.

I'd just really like to give this piece of her history back its story.

I inherited these gorgeous bracelets as part of a large costume jewelry collection. As you can see I’m having lots of fun this weekend. I maintained my pieces in a cold closet and brushed them and wipe them with microfiber soft cloth after I wear them. My aunt ( I called her that) took decades to build her collection. From Eisenberg, Trifari, Panetta,, Monet, Kramer, Bogoff, etc.

She was a show woman who imperonated Marlene Dietrich. She bought some of her costume jewelry at auction houses. ( There was no ebay back then) and love going to the jewelry and gems shows. She always keep the anti moisture packets in the boxes.

Then, if it wasn’t enough I inherited my MIL costume jewelry. She had Kramer for Christian Dior, Trifari, Schreiner, Lisner, etc.

I come from a middle class family unlike my husband’s.

My mom barely had any jewelry, but when she got rid of her wedding gown, she took the real 60s Swarovsky cristals from her dress and made one necklace for each one of her daughters. We are 5 sisters.

When I graduated Law school she turned an old pearl gold earring into a ring for me.

I miss my Auntie and my mom in law. Sometimes I just wear their jewelry while cleaning my house.

I just thought I share this moment with you guys.

This community is so beautiful and uplifting. None of my friends care for costume jewelry let alone vintage jewelry. They just think is old and used stuff.

I have studied Juliana, Kramer, Monet and Trifari jewelry for hours and hours. People don’t understand that every piece takes you to a different era. A moment in time when real things happened ( WWI, WII, 60s, 70s, 80s) and that there is a reason for designers to use paste stones, then swarovski, then lucite stones.

The amazing Austrian, Czech and West Germany movement from the 50s post WWII, and the Art Deco revival in Amsterdam in the 50s.

Has anyone seen a locket like this? Can't identify it. No markings anywhere. I'm not sure what the blue is, but it has really beautiful lines in it. Was bought at an estate sale. The stone isn't real, although I'm not sure if it's original.

A mixture of vintage gold rings — and a 14k thimble — ranging from 9k to 22k, that I have acquired over the years from high-end pawn shops, vintage jewellers, or else inherited or gifted. This will all belong to my nephew when I’m gone.

I was given this ring some years ago it had previously belonged to my great aunt. I have been unable to establish its age as the year and assay office stamps are very worn. I was hoping someone might be able to estimate its age by the style. It has a pattern engraved around the whole band which seems quite unusual. The readable stamps are GJ inside a rectangle. I inherited this necklace from my grandmother when she passed in 2008 and I pulled it out of the safe for my wedding recently, but I'm curious about what it is.

The chain is stamped in multiple places with 14k and the letters HMS. The stone shows up purple in photos and in certain lights but other times it looks like a sea blue. I don't have anyone in the family I can ask and theres no jewelry stores in my town, so if anyone has any ideas or information I'd really appreciate it!

Hello everyone!I recently found this beautiful vintage festoon necklace at a flea market and would highly appreciate any help with its identification.It is made of solid 925 sterling silver (the "925" hallmark is stamped on both the S-shaped hook clasp and on the back of the top silver setting). The metal has a beautiful, warm, matte satin finish with natural age patina.The inserts are stunning vibrant dichroic / foil art glass cabochons changing colors from vivid green to deep electric blue and teal depending on the angle. The back of the settings is closed with oval cutouts to let the light through. The construction features sturdy hinge links between the settings.There are no makers' marks or master hallmarks besides the 925 stamps. Could this be Scandinavian (Danish/Norwegian), German, or perhaps Mexican modernist work from the 1960s-1970s?Thank you so much in advance for your expertise and time!

Try as I might, I cannot find a match for what looks to me to read 🔼ROLS Sterling Mark. Is this perhaps CAROLS? The piece looks like bezel set Sterling Hematite square, Onyx Rectangle, hefty bail, vibe is 80s southwest to me but more modernist. Anyone have any pieces with a mark that looks like this?

This necklace has been in my family since the 1920s. My mother recently died and I asked for this. I love it.

So, I found these amazing clip-on earrings and small purse at a local thrift event near my hometown (San Germán, Puerto Rico).

The red base of the earrings is of a velvety fabric and the sequins on the purse look sown by hand? I would appreciate any help identifying these items. I do not plan on selling them, just curious about their history 😊

I was going through my grandma's old jewelry and found this rose. I thought it was just costume jewelry, but on the back it says ITALY 14Kt and ★ 778 AR.

It's super heavy for its size and the back has these little vent holes. Is this a real Arezzo rose from the 80s/90s?

I was going to wear it as a necklace - would you keep the original snake chain or put it on something else?
