Hi users!
Around the time of bundles, we tend to get a lot of “begging” posts where users are begging for someone to buy them the bundle or skins.
We’ve noticed that the vast lot of these seem to come from adult brand account, brand new accounts, bot accounts, etc.
Please do not engage with these accounts, please do not suggest anything to these accounts. Just report these accounts and move on. We are banning these accounts.
Thank you for your attention.

Greetings Agents!
New patch, new Bug Megathread! To avoid bug reports cluttering the subreddit and/or going unnoticed, a Megathread is posted after every patch so users may submit reports in one place. This allows Riot to easily keep track of the bugs by providing a central hub and also allows other users to confirm that they might have encountered the issue as well.

After finally hitting gold and playing in gold/plat lobbies, I’ve began to notice that nearly everyone who instalocks duelists will refuse to entry. I normally play sentinel/initiator, and it feels like everyone refuses to entry off of info that I get from my util. I’m not great at duelists myself, so I generally avoid it, but at this point it feels like I’m going to be forced to learn one. At this point most of my pushes stall in main, and we never actually push onto a site. Even when my util spots someone and we get a pick they still won’t push on. Whenever I try to comm it to them, they either flame me because I’m negative after trying to take space with fade, or will finally entry, just to go back to doing nothing in the next round. Does anyone have any tips or anything I can do to actually climb when I’m constantly put into these situations?

so everybody knows that riot wanted shotguns to be more defensive and less effective while running or jumping, which i think was kinda the only reason you'd buy a shotgun (from a shotgun main)
but i feel like the bucky got hit way harder than the other shotguns.
the bucky went from 40/20/17 to 34/17/14 damage per pellet at 0 to 8m, while its minimum spread went from 2.5 to 3.0
on top of that, its walking, running, crouch walking and jumping spread all got significantly worse.
now compare that to the judge and shorty, they also got the movement spread nerfs, but neither had their actual close range pellet damage reduced. Thats what makes the bucky feel so pointless to me now.
the bucky costs 850 credits, while a shorty is only 300.
the shorty obviously has its limitations, but in a lot of situations where youd actually use a bucky, id rather just have a shorty.
you can even buy two shortys for 600 credits. on defense or when playing in smokes, you can shoot both shells from your first shorty, drop it, pull out the second one, and basically have a cheap mini judge for 250 less credits than a bucky. (i got a ace using this strat a couple matches back.)
and if i actually have enough money for a serious shotgun buy, id much rather spend the extra on a judge.
the judge also gives you 5 shots, but is much more forgiving if your first shot doesnt kill since its fully automatic.
so you basically end up with:
300 credits: shorty, extremely strong in its niche
600 credits: two shortys, stupidly cheap close range setup
850 credits: bucky, 5 shot magazine, lower damage, worse spread
1850 credits: judge, much better sustained close range weapon
im not saying the bucky needs to be op again, but if the bucky is supposed to be a cheap primary shotgun for holding close angles, why did riot nerf the damage and consistency of its main purpose?
at this point, in almost every situation id rather have a shorty or save up for a judge.
what do you guys think? is there actually a reason to buy the bucky over the other two anymore?

I have a 27-inch 1440p 500Hz BenQ OLED monitor. For competitive Valorant, should I keep Windows and Valorant at native 2560×1440, or switch to 1920×1080?
I’ll keep the monitor at 500Hz either way. Is 1440p worth using, or does 1080p provide a meaningful competitive advantage?
My goal is the best competitive setup, not just better visuals.

Maybe this is a bit of a silly question, but I’ve been playing for about a month, I think, and I’ve already had at least three people give me both their personal social media (Instagram for example) and their Discord because they wanted to keep playing together and become online friends. Is that common in Valorant? I usually play singleplayer games, so it kind of surprised me.

This might sound a little weird, but how does someone become more confident speaking on the mic?
I’m a 26-year-old guy with no friends. Yes, I play Valorant, but I’ve never once used voice chat. I get really anxious and honestly don’t know how to overcome it.
I know communication with your team is an important part of the game, but I always stick to text chat and avoid turning on voice chat.
And it’s not just that I’m scared to speak. Even turning on voice chat and hearing other players’ voices makes me feel extremely anxious and nauseous, so I end up muting it.
What’s strange is that I work in customer service. I interact with people every day and talk to them face-to-face and over the phone, and I have no real problem doing that.
But for some reason, gaming is completely different. The moment I turn on voice chat and hear other people talking, I start feeling anxious and nauseous.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? And if so, how did you overcome it?

I genuinely don't understand. Why I see "immortal 1" followed by the number in the leaderboard if I hover the mouse over my friends profile but I don't see the number when I over my profile? And no, it's not because my ranking position is too low because my friend has less rr than me but the number is displayed anyway...
Thanks for the answer in advance ♥

The mic volume doesnt get reduced to the level i want. I just want to hear a whisper or it gets too distracting , is there a secret setting like voice_scale 0.1 or something because lowering it with the slider is not enough at all.

Genuinely curious what I should be aiming for as I move up the ranks. I feel like I'm great with util and I do often pull my weight, but headshots are my weakness.

May be a low rank question, but I’ve been having a bunch of 3 dualist and two of them don’t entry just bait. How do you win those? Just frag out?

I just finished this game and I saw this so I was confused. I asked my duo to check too and he said it showed the same thing for him. Valorant tracker also isn't showing this game. Does anyone know the reason? Just curious tbh.

what's a bad habit you guys have that you just can't seem to stop?

So recently I started playing apex ranked and during the match you can actually see how much RP (basically rr but for apex) you will gain or lose during the game. Why don't they have something similar in Valorant? Like it can work by calculating how much rr you would gain or lose if the match ended at the previous round.

Hello! Not a perfect idea, but I was just thinking: why not have an option to report people who don't comm in Competitive, and based on the number of reports they get, pair them up with other people who don't comm?
This way, matchmaking could be way easier and more fun for both sides. Personally, comms are very important to me and make the game a lot easier and more enjoyable. I don't really get why some people choose not to use them in Ranked (instead of just queuing Unrated if they don't want to comm).
That said, I know there might be valid reasons or perspectives I'm being ignorant to or not aware of! So I wanted to post here and see what you all think.

O have played this game for so long. I peaked diamond 1 a couple of times, I never play for more than a month straight I can’t get over that. I mostly play swift plays from two years ago or so and I often leave the game for months.
When I have this “month” sprint, I never manage to reach higher than my peak. Sometimes I don’t even make it. This is going to sound stupid but, am I too old for this game? My reflexes are dusty because I don’t play shooters or fast games anymore?

Played Fortnite comp for few years. Was quite decent at it, as it is highly mechanical and requires high degree of variation in aim, crosshair placement, game sense, mechanics and what not I thought it would transition over to other games as well. But trying out Valorant for the first time I’m absolutely getting fried. Like I know these are fundamentally very different games but I can’t even seem to grasp the basics right.
I just wanna know what mechanics should I learn and try improve on and the best way of doing so. Also I play pretty high sens in Fortnite; equivalent to about 0.635 at 800DPI (I looked it up but it just doesn’t feel the same in Valorant for some reason, its like way too high?). Should I go down or stick and hope my muscle memory catches up.
Also a little insight, I tried playing multiple duelist but couldn’t keep up so I tried chamber and I’m surprisingly very good with him. I really like the aggressive off angle headhunter and TP combo. Also I’m really good with the OP, compared to other guns like Vandal. I also liked playing flanks and catching opponents rotating. I think I just get how to play him, at least in these lower elos so far. But as soon as i have to play any other agents its wraps for me.
Any suggestions for how you guys got good at the game and climb the learning curve would be really helpful. Thanks!!

As the title says, I’ve been stuck in the same rank for prolly a month now. I am currently Ascendant 1 and about to demote to D3 if I lose the next couple of games and my current RR experience isn’t helping at all. Every loss is at least -21 RR and every win is +15, I’d be lucky to get +17. To be honest, I wouldn’t mind this if it were consistent (it’s basically the game telling me to get better I guess), but there are games where I Match MVP and get -24 on a loss and +14 on a win. It just doesn’t make sense. Just wanted to know if any of you guys share the same experience and if you were able to “fix” this.

Debating whether to go to Shanghai from September 24th - 29th or October 9 - 11th. My favorite team is G2 and I want to see them play but dont don't have too. I live in Japan and the flights from Japan to Shanghai are pricey during the group stage. Also looking for anybody going to champs this year who can speak English 👀. Thanks

I recently hit immortal 1 but im feeling like i got it by pure luck. Im checking my own stats and they are bad but i keep winning, the thing is when i derank to asc1-dia3 i can mvp most of the matches but when i get back to asc3 or now immo1 i barely have good games, i always go even or negative but i still win. I dont know how should i adress this because i feel like i dont really belong on immo.
this is my tracker: https://tracker.gg/valorant/profile/riot/Vergil%23BLAKE/overview?platform=pc&playlist=competitive&season=8102cd81-43a0-d0d7-bd59-47b8fe9bed1b

NA West. The competitive community feels terrible. I don't know how to motivate people to play well, or for them to stop just screwing around and throwing as soon as I try and give constructive criticism. My RR gain isn't helping either. Match mvp for +19, and Team mvp loss for -22. I have no more mental fortitude left for me to continue grinding for platinum. No amount of effort and skill will get me there.
