I’m thinking of launching a Horror Movie Club at the University of Michigan as the spooky season approaches 🎃, and it would be great for you to fill out the interest form below this post to provide some more information so that you could be added to our MaizePages site!

Whether you are a hardcore horror veteran who loves finding hidden gems or a casual viewer who can’t stand watching horror movies alone, this club is meant to be a low-stakes and relaxing way to connect with people in these interests.

For this club, we are planning biweekly/monthly free watch parties for people that showcase everything from psychological thrillers to modern slashers. These would be shown in classrooms and other potential locations to allow students to explore horror cinema from different cultures and nationalities. In the future, we are also planning to host casual fundraising drives!

I’m currently in LSA trying to transfer into engineering in my sophomore yr. Is it even possible for me to get an engineering internship this summer? If so what should I even be doing? If not what can I do to secure one next year?

The average for biolchem is higher and ive heard the exams are more straightforward but is that true? MCDB 310 gets an exam drop but the ratings for the course are low. Which course is easier get a higher grade in?

Hello, I know alot of freshmans post about getting in consulting clubs or professional frats but I am really confused how open they are for transfer students. And what are they really looking in their responses for students to get in? No one gives a clear answer in their info sessions

With posts being "I'm a freshman and I feel lonely, how do I make friends?", the advice are all too vague. So I want to hear how you guys personally made your own friends, which is significantly more practical.

I’m a sophomore engineering student. I’m currently looking for internships and would really appreciate some advice from other F-1 students. If anyone has successfully gotten an internship while on an F-1 visa, or knows how to navigate the new rules and CPT/OPT requirements, I would really appreciate hearing about your experience. Any advice on where to look, how to apply, or how to approach companies as an international student would be very helpful.

Does this mean that I have to take 15 creditsulcs (15 credits) + 370(4 credits) + 376 (4credits) = 23 and additional 3 credits of 300/400 lvl cs to meet 26 credits?

I am a sophomore, and I am interested in joining the Baja Racing Team, but I am a little intimidated by how many people are involved. I am not sure if I would have a place on the team or if I would be able to contribute. If you are in the club, could you tell me a little about your experience and give me some tips? Hi everyone.

I’m a freshman CS student in LSA hoping to cross-campus transfer to CoE by the end of freshman year.

Right now I’m taking EECS 183 and CHEM 130, and I’m thinking about dropping DATASCI 101 since it would put me at 18 credits, which I really don’t want to do in my first semester.

Next semester I’m planning on taking EECS 280 and linear algebra so I can get the math credit done within the University.

I know EECS 203 is pretty tough and the average is around a B, so for anyone who’s taken it: what helped you do well? Any study tips or things you wish you knew going in?

Also, if anyone has done a cross-campus transfer from LSA to Engineering, what kind of GPA were they looking for? Does this schedule seem reasonable for someone trying to transfer after freshman year?

There are a lot of engineering project teams, and I am sure this question has probably been asked somewhere before, but I am honestly overwhelmed by all the options. I am interested in getting involved, but I am not sure which team would be the best fit for me. For students who are already involved in a project team, which ones are the most active and do a good job of helping students learn and gain hands-on experience? I am especially interested in a team where I am able to learn new skills and actually contribute. I would really appreciate any recommendations or advice!

I have a project I am working on for a company and am looking for someone to help complete it. Looking for someone who knows or can figure out what simple code is doing. Conditional statements.

This project is already close to the finish line but there are a few problems that I don’t have the time to figure out.

This person should know xml or at least is familiar and have strong confidence that they can complete the project.

There is a simple GUI (user friendly drag and drop) with a few conditional statements that are not doing what they are supposed to do - and the second portion is the xml that reads from the GUI and parses the fields into a different program.

The code is written and gui is complete as well but does not work as it’s intended to. Trouble shooting is required.

It’s very important for this to work so confidence in the solution is a must.

There are going to be a few christian groups at pride trying to gain followers. Do not interact with them. There are many that claim to support queer and trans people, but this is just a ploy in order to gain more followers. In actuality these churches, like any other church, are quite homophobic and transphobic. Me and some of my other friends have had some bad experiences especially with the lord of light church. Everyone please be safe and just ignore these losers.
