Is it an NTFS formatted drive by any chance?

I’m not sure, it’s an M.2 ssd if i’m answering the right thing

You answered with specifics about the device itself.

The question however related to what file-system was used on the partition 3 on that device; ie. what your messages shows.

The file-system is set when you 'format' a drive or partition (if it's a new device, you first create partition table, then create partitions on that).

  • nvme0n1 is your device (this is a m2 ssd you're saying)
  • nvme0n1p3 refers to partition 3 on the nvme0n1 device (what the message relates to)

( If you're familiar with Microsoft Windows, you'll see these references in the system tools (Disk Management etc) only; where on Ubuntu systems this type of detail is more readily shown )

Ah yes the classic bad superblock party, I've been to that one before and it's never a quick fix

open discs and change settings to mount to a different place. or just edit /etc/fstab
