Reddit How’s that “the majority of Reddit is US-based” narrative holding up?

Post image
Upvotes

These are the insights from one of my own posts. More than 110k views, and guess what? More than half of them DIDN’T come from the US…

Sure, every post will perform differently. But there’s no reason to assume this isn’t also true for the vast majority of content on Reddit.

If we extrapolate from this, you could say you’re wrong roughly half the time you assume it’s safe to treat everyone here as being from the States.

But whatever.

Facebook Whole world needs US holidays!

Apparently if you own a Skylight Calendar, you need to know when the US schools and banks are closed instead of adding your own relevant ones or syncing from Google/Apple calendar like everyone already does!

A few people pointed out that non-US based users would not care for it and that the calendar is not US specific and she dirty deleted.

Got this answer the because the beta ended Sunday morning when most people have time to play

There wasn't much more then the title of the pic. Most of the time if a game has a play test in the weekend one reasonably could include Sunday. Game in question WarDogs

TikTok "True Pizza is American"

Post image
Upvotes

(click to see the full picture)

Firstly, the defaultist responding to him immediately attacks the commenter by saying he's an illegal migrant, even though the account is empty and I have seen no evidence of it. That just seems like racism, attacking him because of the spanish name.

Secondly, the defaultist is full of bs. I think he can't cope with the fact that such popular food is a foreign invention. Sure, there are quite famous American variations of it, but calling "true pizza" American is just mad stupid. And what's even more absurd is his claim, that pizza in Italy is also American 💀

I was just thinking that two of my favorite singers, Kelly Clarkson, and Floor Jansen have really similar ranges and was looking for singing videos of both. While browsing, came across this absolute gem... who knew??? Dutch names exist wow omg can't believe it!

Reddit Sephora only exists in America, apparently

Post image
Upvotes

OP asked if Sephora (a makeup store) accepts returns of used items, not disclosing their country. Only Sephoras in US and Canada allow returns of used items. Two commenters automatically assume OP is American, and that only Sephoras in America exist. Enjoy my petty comment lol.

Reddit "What state are you in?" As if Subway isn't in over 100 countries

Post image
Upvotes

Person asking about a kind of mayo they get at Subway, more than one commenter is baffled because it's not available in the USA, and of course they don't consider that OP could be from one of the other 100+ countries.
