I am a male about 19, and I'm fine with living as a male. I wanted to take estrogen for fun because I heard it can redistribute fat, and give me breasts. I am fine with having breasts, and I can always come off if the breasts are growing too much. I'm also curious about the potential mood changes. If I don't like the changes, I can always stop taking it. I don't plan on taking estrogen for years, just for a few months.

But there's probably a reason no one does this for fun.

I have been worried about starting HRT and was hoping i could get some reassurance and answers to my questions and worries

What would a recommended dose of E pills and E patches be for someone that is 176cm and 54kg?

What's safer and what's different between E patches and E pills? what would be best to take?

What's anything that I need to know starting out taking E pills? Just generally important info about it please!

I've heard that pills have a higher chance to induce blood-clotting than patches do, but what are the side-effects of patches? and which would you consider to be "better". I don't have any known genetical heart diseases but i'd also rather avoid any unnecessary risks, so are pills likely to cause issues or is it something not really worth worrying about.

Ordered 2 vials on the 27th of august and just got them today. everything seems fine, the liquid is clear and nothing suspicious inside the vial. So far they seem great :D

I stored one vial in the freezer for later since i won't need it for a while because of the concentration they use haha.

EDIT : forgot to mention i got EEn in MCT oil, also, i did my first dose, no irritation or anything so far, i did 5mg as a loading dose and will do another 4mg dose on saturday (in 4 days) since that's the most convenient trough day for me :D

so it's my injection day today and i've already made countless posts in here and the discord about the remasculisation + higher T levels (a jump from 0.88 to 1.2 to 1.8 over the course of 5 months and 2 increased doses) i'm experiencing so i won't go into it again (https://www.reddit.com/r/asktransgender/comments/1vxftk0/feeling_lost_continued_remasculisation_and_no/),

it does continue to get worse :s but i'm starting bica tomorrow and i was also considering lowering my dose back down to where i had the best results, in both feminisation and T level. so i'd be dropping from 8mg down to 6mg, or 0.2 ml down to 0.16. is this stupid? especially when my T is the highest it's been since i started getting my hormones tested over the last year... when things were going well and i was on 6mg my levels were 435 pmol E and 0.88 nmol T.

i know it's not medically possible for more E = Higher T but i'm just thinking of things i can try to maybe get everything back on track... if possible! (i desperately hope lol)

fwiw my E is 1190 pmol as of my last test and LH/FSH are completely suppressed, SHBG never shifts from around 42 nmol no matter the dose. Blood DHT levels came back as <0.17 nmol and i've had no symptom improvement since starting duta nearly 2 months ago, other than increased T (idk if this is even the cause, it was already rising before i started it!)

I had my DHEA-S tested today to rule out anything more sinister as well because multiple people have now mentioned adrenal tumours to me :/

so other than praying to the bicalutamide gods, is it worth also trying a lower dose of EEn again? thanks!!! <3

I live in germany. If I want to buy estradiol injections from outside the EU, from what phamarcies should I buy to minimize the risk of the package getting cought in customs?

I know it would be safest to just buy from a phamarcy in the EU to avoid customs altogether, but here is my train of thought: if a lot of pharmacies are out of stock pretty often because demand is higher than suply than all the suply will probably be bought up pretty fast right after being restocked and because of that I might not get the chance to buy a vial.

The more pharmacies I know that I could buy from, the higher the chance one of them won't be out of stock before I get to buy a vial. I already know about the EU phamarcies that are on valerie.vg and that brings me back to my original question.

I should also mention, I never bought estradiol before so I might just be overthinking this for no reason.

It's been 6 months and I thought it was working but then I discovered your chest hurting is not a reliable indicator, I have noticed a tiny bit but effectively zero breast growth in this time frame and am thinking about upping my dose just to be sure.

Is there any consequence of having E levels too high? The only thing I care about at the moment is if it will effect progress if I am wrong and my T is already suppressed and I'm just unlucky.

I recently saw someone claiming you have to eventually stay within the standard male/female range or you'll experience health problems from insufficient hormone levels, and it has me worried about my future as someone who would like to stay androgynous. Is this true? I believe it was in the context of taking low-dose E + T blockers, which I understand has side effects, but it was stated very broadly and very generally. Do the same issues apply to taking low-dose T? Is really just anything "non-standard" bad for you?

Edit: I understand the risks of having low T and E, I'm wondering more about if this applies to taking low dose T as a transmasculine person, since people don't typically combine T with a blocker

Getting my next vial soon and I’m curious if anyone in the UK has had experience buying from Hera. Any problems having it shipped from the US or did it go pretty smoothly?

My testosterone is 0 and my E is on the low side of a normal female range. I shouldn’t have any way of producing testosterone natally. About two months ago I started experiencing masculinization again anyway. My doctor suggested that it’s probably something to do with my adrenal glands, and that she really believes I have CAH (congenital adrenal hyperplasia), but didn’t tell me anything I could do about it. Actually, everything I ask for help with that isn’t just getting my basic prescription, she tells me she can’t help me because it isn’t standard procedure covered by WPATH.

Has anyone else experienced this? What can I do? Is there anything in particular I should be trying to test for? This is extremely distressing, and the sudden influx of dozens and dozens of terminal facial hairs after years of nothing now guarantees I’m going to have to do electrolysis. Hello! I've been using 27G needles for both drawing and injecting for the better part of a year. Today, I tried using 21G for drawing to see how much quicker the whole drawing process would be done and whether it would core my vial. As expected, the drawing process was much quicker, but it did core the vial, leaving a hole that wasn't closed by the rubber stopper. The hole doesn't leak or anything, so I imagine it's fine to keep using it. My question is: would It be safe to keep using the thicker needles, given that the coring done was small?

So I was looking at like the recommended doses and I don’t love having that much of a hormone fluctuation but is it possible to take like 7mg every 10 days like estradiol cyponate?

Yesterday I decided to buy my first ever vial (18 MtF) and having done some research prior I knew celestial was in stock on Valerie and looking around the subreddit I saw most people trusted them and had an overall very positive experience with them so I bought a vial off them, get the order received email then today when I check, their website is completely gone and recently others have been having issues (or maybe just poor communication) with deliveries alongside a just general lack of communication

However, the problem with simply ordering it is the fact that Norwegian customs seize ALL packages of HRT. As well as this, most of the vendor that actually ship to Norway are out of stock. I have found one site that ships internationally, however they only have oral pills in stock. Is this even a good option?

I am a trans woman (20yo) 35 days on hrt 4mgs estradiol sublingually and dienogest 2mg for the blocker I just noticed that I have a solid lump on the outer side of my right nipple and it hurts when i touch it. I have a similar feeling when i touch my left nipple but it's the nipple itself like the middle part that is sensitive. Should I be concerned? and what should I do?

How long does hera take to ship in USA? i bought from symphony 1 month ago and i havent heard anything about my vials yet so i dont want to make the same mistake again.

About half a year ago I made my regular order from otokonoko (They're the only ones who could ship to Norway when I started). I wait the usual month for it to arrive, but it gets seized at the border. I get a reship, wait another month, but it gets seized again. This is the first time this has happened to me since I started over 2 years ago, and I honestly don't know what to do. I stupidly ignore the issue for a month or so, but finally decide I have to look for an alternative before i run out.

I start looking for other sellers in early June, and find some who also claim to ship to me. They're all out of stock though, so I have to wait a couple of weeks. I finally order from Hera and it takes a while to get shipped, but after some time it starts moving. It then gets stuck in Chicago, and i decide to contact support.

I email them, and after some time I get a response. They tell me to wait at least 3 weeks to see if it starts moving again. I wait for a week, but decide to order another vial from Symphony Labs just to be safe. After another week this package also goes silent. I try emailing Symphony Labs, but get no response.

I try waiting another week and the tracking from Hera updates, making Hera support think it has started moving again. Because of this Hera tells me the problem has been solved. I wait yet another week, believing the package has started moving again, but it never leaves Chicago. I contact support, but get no response.

I decide to order again from otokonoko, since they at least made it to my country last time, but they're out of stock so i have to wait. I try contacting both Hera and Symphony Labs, and finally get a response from Hera (nothing from Symphony Labs). Hera tells me they'll reship the package. After this they go on a break (which is fair enough) and I have to wait until they're back.

By the time they're back otokonoko is back in stock, so I order from them again. I also ask Hera for an update, and after a couple of days they now say they'll send me a coupon code in a couple of days.

Just today the package from Symphony Labs gets an update for the first time in over a month. It has been seized at the border.

This whole thing has lasted 3 months, and at this point I've been without hrt for over a month. It seems like it will take at least another month before i can start again. (even longer if my order from otokonoko gets seized again, which it probably will). I know I'm partially to blame for waiting too long, but it's still really frustrating to have 4 orders get seized/lost in a row. The amount of money I've wasted, mixed with the mediocre support (non-existent from Symphony Labs) makes it even worse.

Not sure if there's anything I can do other than wait at this point. I might try ordering from yet another seller, but it's getting expensive...

i have been using my vial (EEn) since the 8th july (weekly).
i read in this sub that it’s okay to use a vial until its empty, provided it isn’t damaged etc.
however, official guidelines say ~28 days since thats about as long as preservatives last.

i’m starting to get a bit paranoid, like maybe i might get sepsis or something. that’d be bad.

does anybody have any trustworthy evidence that it’s safe for me to keep using a vial for as long as i have?
