You didn't read the books lol. Good job though.

It’s a bit bizarre to me how many people on dating apps (not loads, just the occasional from what I’ve seen) will seem to fake a massive interest in ancient history and Greek mythology, and I have zero idea why

Because odyssey movie came out. Its not like before where you could just talk about the weather and someone would fall on your dick.

Gotta find some common ground first

Because it’s cool? Pretty much shaped western culture? A lot of hype because of the second biggest movie out right now?

I’ve seen it for a while before the latest movie, but why pretend to like it. Idk. I get why it’s cool, but to people who aren’t interested in it I’m unsure why they’d pick it if they don’t actually like it

Who is pretending?

u/PaulOGradyFanClub 10h ago

You’ll see some people put it on their profiles and then have zero actual ideas about ancient history

Bizarre that people don’t align on every aspect of each other so they lie? Seems pretty normal.

u/PaulOGradyFanClub 10h ago

I just didn’t think it would be a trendy thing to lie about since it’s not common really but I’ve seen it for a while, was mostly just curious if anyone had an explanation for it tbh

My interest in ancient history is not fake, love me some Imperator: Rome

I usually don’t reveal it before sex (when they see me turn on the game 30 secs later)

Heh, our quest to find a femoid who can understand and appreciate the intricacies of our Magic the Gathering collection & love of children's video games continues. Your crown, dear king.

Oh no! It got me laid by a hot chick but an anonymous Redditor thinks it’s goofy, guess it was all a waste
