Discussion How can a studio that has been making fighting games for almost 30 years be so incompetent? It is honestly embarrassing.

Discussion Theres one person in this subreddit who is singlehandedly the most weirdest person I have ever seen in this game.

Salt 🧂 An interesting consequence of the ranked inflation.
HEAR ME OUT. I swear this isnt a "WELL GoD UsEd tO MeAN SoMEThiNG" Post. For those of you who came for that I agree with you but having a Walkman used to mean something and then time goes on. You sound like an old man screaming at crowds when you complain about it.
Anyways
Ive been climbing through GoD 4 on my way to my goal of top 50 NA for my character on Wank Wavu. One of the more interesting consequences of adding ranks to the top of the pile is that the amount of grind you have to pursue is exponentially higher. Each rank requires you be +20000 rank points from the start of that rank. This essentially means you need to win more than you lose reasonably consistantly without demoting. Since Im in GoD 4 every loss to someone of my rank results in -1k points. 1 rank below is - ~1.15k. God 2's are minus 1500 Points meaning if I lose to a God 2 I have to win both of the other games(760 pts for one game and ~900 points for the revenge game) to net around 150 points with the revenge mechanic. Remember that my matchmaking pool is extremely limited at around 20000 players in the world. Lets be generous and assume NA is roughly 40% of that (It isnt) From there I have around 8000 players however not all of them are in my server region. This is all to say I end up fighting a lot of GoD 2 Drags that I have to play REALLY FUCKING TIGHT against. I'm honestly just harrowed. I feel like that Matt Damon in Saving Private Ryan aging as I play. I dont even play like other people do. I play 1-2 hours but spread over my days off.
This firmly makes me not even want to Rank in GoD 5 because my matchup pool is already so limited. Im having to play tight against God 2 Kazuyas who have practiced nothing but wavu wavu 50/50 for 1/4th of my life. Remember if you lose a single time you have to risk losing 3k points just to potentially win, again, 100 points. IMO if youre grinding you should just 1 and done the GoD 2s. (I dont but if i did I would have promoted faster) Content creators and pros at least get value outside of the ranked system but I just want the screenshot. At GoD 6+ your pool is so limited you basically have to farm the best players in your pool to rank.

Got to Tekken God recently so I decided to make a small edit for the hell of it. I was cosplaying as Aigis during my run. They need to make a new persona arena game already 😩

Discussion A bit of a weird question, but are Jin and Xiaoyu the only mainstream romance between a Japanese and a Chinese?
I know that there is still bad blood in the public between the two countries and seeing any romance between a Japanese and a Chinese person in mainstream media is rather uncommon. So i was wondering, are Xiao and Jin the most well known mainstream Chinese x Japanese "romance"? And was there ever any issue by the asian playerbase because of that?

Discussion Fahkumram Matchup Guide and What I Would Nerf Fully Explained.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This is a basic matchup guide against Fahkumram that I believe would help a lot of people, I play Fahkumram casually I am a GoD 1 with him and I know this guy pretty well because he was my main in Tekken 7. If you are only here for the match up just watch the first 2 minutes, in the last 2 minutes I am talking about the stuff I am going to nerf on him.
Hope this helps.

Salt 🧂 Sometimes it feels pretty awful learning this game
With the endless amount of moves, characters, and gimmicks it feels like there’s so much of a learning curve to getting good at this game. No matter how much time I spend playing this game, I still get beat by some gimmick. I can lab it, but I won’t see that same character for months. By the time I do see them, I’ve already lost what I’ve labbed.
At its core, I think this game has great potential. But it seems like I’m just constantly punished for trying to play “right.” I feel like I have to do a million things to win when, sometimes, it feels like my opponent can just run their flowchart and it’s over. I get that it takes time, but some moves definitely are overturned and not fun to play against.
