i feel like it's interesting how a large chunk of fans treat Ueda games as something to kind of "solve" -- to figure out the answer behind the mysteries, unanswered questions, etc. those are the sorts of videos that end up getting the most engagement in regards to his games as well.

personally, it's not really my thing to view ueda's games thru that lens -- i enjoy taking them in as they are and letting the questions remain questions, trying to understand how the unanswered questions add to the mood of the worlds.

does anyone else relate to my way of playing the games? i vaguely remember seeing a video series talking exactly about this phenomenon in the fanbase. i understand that mystery solving is a very easy way to bring a community together, though, not trying to imply theres anything bad abt it.

Anyone here knows or have seen a diorama made for the PS2 game called ICO ? That Castle is huge and deserves a good one. Do you guys ever heard about it?

I recently played Shadow of the Colossus for the first time this year and fell in love. I also played The Last Guardian as well and was once again another masterpiece.

In order to prep for genATLAS I was hoping to also play ICO so I picked up this copy. However I do not have a PS3. I also do not want to support Sony with a subscription after the Blue Point closure and killing physical media.

Would really appreciate a good step by step guide to get this game running on my PC. Never done any kind of emulation before.

I discovered this while exploring the map. At the location where you obtain the final sword, a cutscene plays if you approach the large gate you entered by boat early in the game. However, why does a cutscene appear in a place where there is absolutely no exit? The left side of the gate looked as if it had been slightly cut off, so I tried approaching it, but I couldn't move forward. It felt as though it were blocked. I'm just asking out of curiosity. I would like to hear your speculations on this point.

I'm interested in seeing if people agree or disagree with some of my speculation, especially the point about the dying cry of Colossus #8.

Am I just going crazy or there seems to be a double of the wooden bridge room in west arena? It looks like a bug or a coding error because the room is not mirrored or anything and if you exit both with their right door, you go back to the water room like normal. That got me confused as hell

Edit 2 : Actually, the door I'm talking about is supposed to lead you to the lever that deactivates the waterfall, okay. But now it's turned into a copy of the previous room for some reason. At least the lever has already been pulled prior so I'm not soft locked or anything

My friends and I wanted to make some music the other day. I showed them the heal track and they were keen to use it. They’ve never played ico whilst I have. I decided to add some visuals on top of the track. Let me know what you think.

I know there's a pretty good PS2 Emulator but when I have tried to set it up I was missing some of the crucial files. I think the BIOs and ISO? I've used emulators before but mostly for the Gameboy and Snes

In the PS4 remake, SotC received additional content such as the 79 coins needed to obtain Dormin's Sword, Filter Mode, and Mirror Mode. Although unlikely, if the ICO game were to be remade like SotC and include additional content, what kind of content would you want?

Hello! I made a post a few months ago about the pdf I complied of all of Peter Eliot's work and how I intended to turn them into a book. I finally finished the project and thought I'd share it here. Not the happiest with it but it's the first book I've bound myself from start to finish so it was certainly a learning experience and I'm just happy It functions as it is able to be read!

It would be awesome to see this game as a remake.

ICO and SOTC​

Heard a bunch of people saying to emulate the ps2 version, and even more people recommending the ps3 version. It's a mixed bag from my limited understanding (for both games)

I played Ico for the first time a few months ago and it really impacted me. I loved everything about the game, but the atmosphere is what really blew me away. It has this beautiful combination of comfort and loneliness that I've never felt before and it inspired me to create some music.
