I've been working on this costume for a long time, and some of you have even seen some of the progress. I finally found an accurate collar using a priest's costume that I turned into a tank top that goes underneath the main outfit. The tabards of the tunic are the remnants of an old graduation gown, and the boots are genuine riding boots by Carhartt. Normally $300, I found them at Goodwill for 20. Other details include a leather waist belt, my saber hook is an old suspender hook, and the utility pouch on the belt is an old coin purse that I bought from Walmart for 10 bucks. It would never be 501st approved but I am immensely proud. I debuted the outfit at Tucson Comic-Con this past weekend and received a surprising amount of praise. I hope you guys can enjoy it too.

Just got done watching band of brothers for the hundredth time. If you haven’t seen it I highly recommend it. For those that have I think if Star Wars followed a similar style it would do extremely well. What do you guys think ?

I was lucky to be invited by a founding member, here's some of what I saw. Overall verdict: Definitely worth visiting but feels incomplete, expect massive crowds on the official opening day.

Best parts: It includes original models of the spaceships from 1977 and more. It prioritizes beloved characters and settings, making it feel more audience-oriented. Downsides: it excludes or minimizes many characters (Jar-Jar was absent, Padmé barely visible, dark side Anakin not present except as Vader, no Saruman Dooku, Mundi, or Ahsoka, it doesn't include much memorabilia (I expected more costumes and props/lightsabers, none of the video or arcade games). YMMV parts: it pretends Disney sequels don't exist.

In a word, it felt unfinished. There's no audio/visual elements currently, except for the R2 that moves around the lobby and beeps at you. The rest of the museum is worth visiting too, the library was very popular (Downsides of the other exhibits: Far too heavy a focus on Norman Rockwell, and zero explanation for any exhibits despite many having social/political themes - either you understand it, or you don't). Can't wait to see what they add in the future. Give it a visit!

As I was playing through zero company and looking at the deluxe officer uniforms I came to wondering which rank goes where? I can guess the 3 blue is a Lieutenant for a member of Intelligence since it's Bennic's rank plaque. Anyone got any ideas?

I know it was a special edition change George made for who knows what reason but I’m curious if there’a lore that addresses it

My girl is a major Star Wars fan, & wants me to watch it with her. I also enjoy Star Wars (to a degree, I've seen all of the movies, & Andor) but, man, some of these episodes are incredibly rough. The writing is immature & the animation doesn't hold up for someone who has no nostalgia for the show itself.

I love the characters because they're iconic, the dynamic between Kenobi & Anakin is a highlight, & the expanded world-building is interesting because it helps strengthen the prequel trilogy. All that said though, it doesn't excuse how inconsistent the writing is. I'll be enjoying one episode & thinking to myself "okay, now we're cooking" just for the next Jar Jar episode to burn the kitchen down & erase my enthusiasm.

Does anyone have any perspective that they can give me or tips to somehow make this experience more enjoyable? Because like I said, I do want to like this, & I plan to continue watching it regardless since it's something that my girl is passionate about, but I need some motivation. 🫩

Something about Lawson’s reactions in Maul Shadow Lord puzzled me. In Episode 2, he describes Maul as being “proficient with a laser sword.” That initially made him sound unfamiliar with lightsabers, although the phrase itself is perfectly fine as we have seen Anakin use it in The Phantom Menace while recognising Qui-Gon as a Jedi, and Luke uses it in The Last Jedi.

What interests me more is the Force use. During the police-station attack, Maul pulls Lawson’s blaster out of his hand with the Force. Then, during the escape with Devon, Maul damages the pedestrian bridge and Daki holds it up with the Force while Lawson and the other officers rescue civilians.

Yet in Episode 4, Lawson asks Daki, “Why didn’t you tell me you were a Jedi?”

I can understand Lawson not recognising Maul personally. But did he never notice what Daki was doing at the bridge? It is difficult to say this when we see the eposode, what was Lawson's position, or was he too focused on rescuing people to see who was holding it up, with the lightsabers later providing the obvious confirmation?

Is Lawson deliberately downplaying anything connected to the Force because he wants to keep the Empire out of Janix?

His surprise in Episode 4 felt a little odd given what had already happened around him.

Understaffed and on a deadline knowing it's his ass if the project isn't completed on time. Even in a galaxy far far away, you got to deal with management's bullshit.

After Anakin falls to darkside and starts carrying out Palpatine’s order, never once do we hear him say anything while murdering Shaak Ti, Cin Drallig, the younglings, and later the entire separatist council. He’s always shown carrying out these murders with a cold detached look on his face as if he’s completely cut off from his humanity and any resemblance of Anakin Skywalker. In these moments he’s nothing more than an extension of Palpatine’s will.

I think him not saying a word while killing people is meant to tell you when he’s completely consumed by his Vader persona. Meanwhile him talking a dropping quips ironically show signs of his inner Anakin coming out.
