WTF Influencer arrested at airport after shooting a firework through a child's bedroom

An influencer has been arrested at an airport after shooting a firework through a child's bedroom window on New Year's Eve. Atallah Younes, 23, was detained at Berlin airport on Saturday as he tried to flee the city following the shocking act. The arrest comes after the video blew up in Germany - with Younes then claiming he was the victim of racist attacks.

Good.

If anyone should be being rounded up and locked in cages, it's "influncers" like this

u/Adis_Pen_and_Paper 2h ago

And anyone who supports such content.

u/Fetlocks_Glistening 2h ago

And posts comments giving them engagement. Wait

u/AnonVinky 2h ago

The awareness outweighs the amplification.

I have (fireproof) curtains closed whenever there are fireworks around when I keep windows open. I instituted that after reading about something like this.

u/AlternativePea6203 1h ago

You bought fireproof curtains to protect against this specific thing??

Of all the random things the world has given us to worry about, if you bought mitigation against all of them, you must be broke....

Can't think of an influencer or streamer who isn't a piece of shit in some way. It's basically a prerequisite

u/Satanicjamnik 3h ago edited 3h ago

Well, if you decide to earn money by being as obnoxious and aggravating as possible, while not bothering about having any talent, or having any artistic nor entertainment value to your work other than inspiring either malicious glee or rage? Being an amoral piece of shit is kinda necessary.

u/Exciting-Music843 2h ago

What frustrates me more all if this "influencer" nonsense is that you can have no talent and be all of what you said but somehow there are enough people to watch your nonsense that you can make money! I struggle to comprehend how that works when I think about it?

u/TF2PublicFerret 1h ago

Like attracts like. Also some pepple are stupid and have no taste.

u/Confident-Stand5453 2h ago

We are growing more stupid as a species with each passing day. Thats how it works.

There are lots of gaming streamers who are very wholesome, it's usually the "IRL Streamer" crowd that has the degenerates.

u/darth__anakin 3h ago

I could name a few really great ones, but I agree about the vast majority being awful.

u/Future-Concern-6301 1h ago

Some of the gamers are chill - but the chill ones rarely get the outrageously big plattform the obnoxious ones get.

u/gioluipelle 3h ago

Nature of the beast unfortunately. If you’re a regular person who wants to go viral you better either be hot, talented, or willing to do some crazy shit.

Most people don’t wanna be the guy that smashes his shins with Razr scooters for a living, so they default to fucking up other people’s shit instead.

They just better hope no politician is ever smart enough to run on sticking all these guys in camps cause they’ll probably be voted in for life.

The problem for me isn't platforming them, it us promoting them via the algorythm.

u/Bloody_Champion 3h ago

Yes, because unfortunately they influence stupid ppl and children.

u/Ok_Performer_1746 4h ago

good, I'm glad he was arrested. What a stupid stunt. Unfortunately some people look up to these idiots.

u/DruPeacock23 4h ago

Prosecutors initially investigated him for suspected serious arson, recklessly endangering human life, and attempted bodily harm, but the Berlin district court ultimately convicted him of property/criminal damage.

Younes expressed regret during the legal proceedings, stating he did not realize how dangerous the rocket was and only wanted to celebrate.

Fucking idiots should be banned from social media. However, he is doing well witj 300k followers on insta and tik tok.

u/tacorunnr 4h ago

Did it go viral then he tried to flee? Or did he try to flee immediately after it flew in the window? If immediately after it went in, someone watching his stream (if he was streaming) definitely snitched in order for police to get him that fast. 😂

u/TheNegativePhoenix 3h ago

Absolutely disgusting shooting off fireworks like that in the first place. And then claiming the race card as if you were the victim? F right off, buddy.

Quick Google search states he got 6 months probation in April and did, indeed, decide to F off and leave Germany. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

He is just a violent psycho who shoot a heavy firework in someone's room. That's not being an influencer but a psycho criminal

u/no_crust_buster 3h ago

This “influencer” stuff is getting out of control. While not to THIS extent, the tennis US Open has had so many issues with “influencers” that Wimbledon will not give them press passes starting next year. And i wouldn’t be shocked if all other tennis majors follow suit.

These morons are literally ruining it for everyone in the pursuit of being “edgy.”

u/Commercial_Rule_7823 1h ago

Should be attempted murder charges and attempted arson.

He could have caused a fire and destroyed that building while maybe killing a lot of people.

How stupid can you be.

u/MilStd 1h ago

There needs to be a Clout Chasing complication to crimes. If you commit a crime for the purposes of creating content whether intentional or not the sentence should be doubled.

That's basically firebombing a child's room. Insane to me how people can knowingly attempt serious harm or murder for views.

Such vile people should be hanged, right after making them pay SO MUCH to their victims. Maybe then people would start considering other people.

u/ScaryTemperature6291 3h ago

Thought the Sam Pepper incident was bad enough but this FFS some people just think they can do anything now days.

u/fancywipe 3h ago

He could’ve sent this kid’s bedroom on fire and killed this kid. What a dumbass but influencers will do anything for views and clicks instead of getting up and getting a job or going to college because that’s how they make their money by influencing people to do dumb shit that they do and end up in jail. May they keep him over there?

u/gaschligan 2h ago

Attempted murder - this criminal should spend life in jail

u/GoCougs2020 2h ago

Point the fking thing straight up like a normal person. But again, influencer aren’t exactly “normal person” they usually have less brain cells!

u/HobbitWithaGun 2h ago

He'll walk free with a small fine, but he should get life for attempted murder.

u/Eikram84 2h ago

As is so often the case on the internet, the story is, of course, only half true.

The video is from 2024 and he has already been convicted. He has lodged an appeal against the judgement, which is why the case is being retried.

So he wasn’t arrested ‘on Saturday’ recently.

u/iCreatedYouPleb 2h ago

Same dude who shot a firework at a girl’s face and she became blind?

u/Difficult_Steak54 2h ago

u/k100y 2h ago

That was in 2024 and he was already jailed. Now he is back „Home“ in West Jordan Land.

u/one_Time_use01 2h ago

This is not an influencer. This was a random tourist who came to Germany to celebrate new year. And there was not a child in the room, but an elderly pair. These were his 15 minutes of fame. He tried to get away on a sooner plane because he realized how brain dead it was to post your committed crime, but got sacked by the cops anyways. He had to do some pointless apology video - as per all the harshness of capital punishment in Germany

Stupid question maybe but I’ve seen a lot of videos of people causing mayhem in Berlin on NYE and the firefighters and police being overwhelmed.

Burning cars, violence, fireworks inside people’s homes.

Why not deploy the military on every street in Berlin on NYE?

If it’s that bad?

Just arrest anyone causing harm and violence and set an example.
