There's a whole story behind this. The puppet is ad libbing, repeating a bit from a news story where criminals were talking to the cops: "we're just innocent men." Basically it's an inside joke between the people on the show.
Oh, that makes it ten times better. When i first saw this clip, I just thought it was a funny one-off. But now, knowing that he was going for a call-back to a previous bit...that bait with the 'we're just normal men', you can tell by the first break that she knows where this is going...and she MUST follow through. They both pay the price and we reap the rewards.
I guess, but there needs to be a critical distinction between a properly hyphenated word and poorly executed em dash converting a run-on (oh no!) phrase.
Still, better to be hyper aware and question things that look ai.
