His wife was on the phone during the murders. This was not the case with the Clancy murders. Different evidence leads to different outcomes in the case.

The Clancy case isn't about whether or not she'll be locked up but whether she'll be locked up in a psych ward or a jail cell. Neither of these are good places to live.
