Also, Battaglia explicitly did NOT plead insanity. He only brought it up during the penalty phase of trial, saying he shouldn’t be killed because he had bipolar.

Yeah. I just read about this case, and its not at ALL the same.
Long history of domestic abuse. Wife had finally made the split final. As is often the case, he opted to kill his kids in an act of revenge and openly said as much.
OP is just trying to make two completely crimes parallel in order to prove some kind of bias against men, and that's so disengenous.
