He is one that notably improved. His acting in the first few HP movies was at best mediocre, as he freely admits, and he became a decent actor.

To be fair, the real star in the first two films was the gorgeous set design for Hogwarts. Then Azkaban came around and started screwing around with it.

The first two Harry Potter movies were spot on and beautiful. They both had late actor Richard Harris who played Albus Dumbledore, who really embraced and fit that role perfectly. It was sad hearing that he passed away before the other movies were even made. By far Richard Harris was the BEST Professor Dumbledore.
