what kind of chai concentrate does sheetz use for their drinks? it’s one of the best chais i’ve had surprisingly

UPDATE: September 2026 – September 1 came and went with no Sheetz across from the Wawa near Downingtown. The project is still moving, just not as fast as the company first promised.

The convenience store and gas station chain plans to redevelop a shuttered Rite Aid in Downingtown, diagonally across from the Wawa at the intersection of East Lincoln Highway and Bondsville Road.

So I’ve been employed at Sheetz for about 3 weeks or so. Now, the job itself, I can do and manage. I work in the kitchen. I’ve worked in food off and on for years.

The problem I’m currently having is my one coworker (I’ll call her Amy, not her real name).

Anyways, so I worked 5 days straight, all 8 hour shifts. Which is fine. Most places (food or not) do that. I agreed to a PART TIME position because when I applied and got hired, I was under the understanding, it would’ve been part time.

So after my 5 day stretch, I was going to be off 4 days. I was planning on, through the work app, picking up available shifts throughout those 4 off days. Didn’t think the 4 days off was a huge deal, because again, I agreed to a PART TIME position.

On day 4 of my 5 day stretch, Amy asked me when my next off was. I said, “After tomorrow, I’m off for like 4 days, but I will try and possibly pick up some hours through the app. I’m only supposed to be part time anyways.” Amy then went on and said the app isn’t always accurate and to check the paper schedule in the back. Which, I already did and it was the same. She then went on to say neither were right and I work and I don’t know how to properly read a schedule.

Then Amy literally went to a manager and tattled about me being off for 4 days and threw a fit. So to please her, the manager just threw me on the schedule for the next day (making it 6 days in a row now) and so on. Within 10-11 days, I’m only getting one day off. All because Amy threw a fit. But, Amy got 3 days off in a row and nothing was said? She also overheard a different coworker saying he had ONE day off after 6 days and he’s refusing to come in on his day off. (Understandably), but then Amy threw a fit and said he was ignorant and whatnot for refusing to come in.

This also isn’t mentioning Amy’s smart mouth towards everyone. I should also add, she is NOT a manager or manager in training.

I’m coming here because I’m unsure if I should bring the issue up to a different manager, or even higher ups. It’s not that I don’t want to work, but I don’t want to work days I was supposed to be off all because someone threw a fit like a 5 year old, and stuck her nose where it didn’t belong. I even had to cancel a doctor’s appointment because I was just thrown on the schedule. I’ve thought about even calling off one day and just taking whatever points or write ups they give me. Having one day off in 10-11 days is crazy to me, especially when I was only supposed to be part time. Plus someone threw a fit.

TLDR; coworker threw a fit because after 5 days working straight as a part time employee, I was getting some days off and to please her, a manager threw me on the schedule

At a Sheetz in Columbia, PA (store 559) and they had a new White Cheddar dip option. Has anyone else seen this one before anywhere else? Tried it and it wasn’t that bad actually, reminds me of those white cheddar mac and cheese cups.

Has anyone been able to log in at home at all yet for benefits or even requesting days off? I'm in and out of doctors offices a lot and it's really frustrating to only be able to make requests while I'm at work. I have memory issues and tend to forget.

I recently transferred from one store to another when I moved, and for context I LOVED the people I worked with at my old store. I was there with most of them from the day it opened, and I was very sad about leaving. At my new store, I've worked a few shifts and just don't feel like I'm connecting with people in the same way.

Work relationships aside, as a result of that I have realized just how terrible this job is when you aren't working with people you really like and it has become so much more draining going to work. I just want to say good luck to all the employees out there going through a similar issue.

So we used to have a really nice set up for the paper we use during eod with lottery. Well that was recently lost and we never made new copies. We hate the ones we’ve found all over bob. Drop y’all’s lottery paper if your store happens to have a better one than the ones we have.

Last week I was one away from redeeming my free speciality drink, which no longer appears on the app now. The associate I spoke to at the store wasn't aware of anything and my order wasn't discounted besides the $5 deal.

Has anyone relocated as a Supervisor and is it worth it? The incentives seem amazing and I’ve been in the company coming up on two years and have only 8 points. Anyone have any advice?

I have been with the company for a few years and there have been quite a few relocation opportunities, but none of the options really interested me.

Recently they have new locations by Philly. I am interested, but I am hesitant to apply.

Theres a reason why they are willing to pay so much to get employees to relocate and thats bc a brand new store in a brand new location will be chaotic at first. It will take time to find a good flow while getting everything in order. And the fact that the store manager or even the DM may be new as well... it will take a decent amount of time before everything settles.

Knowing that you are signing a commitment for whatever gamble the store you relocate to will be, I wanted to know how it is working at any of the new locations. It could be Michican, Ohio, just at one of the stores that have been a relocation opportunity in the past year or two.

I think getting a better idea of what working at one of the new stores would help make up my mind.

Better than nothing but when other companies are giving out entire free food items it's kinda lame to see $2 off. I think I'd spend $2 just driving to the store lol.

Then we normally have 3 people in the kitchen, but i’m also needing to make drinks while being cashier and doing all the regular store tasks. New employee at a newly built store so just not sure, but feels insane doing alone the whole time. If i need to go to the bathroom i often have to wait 30mins for someone to be back from break to cover for me

Sheesh where do I begin with the chaos that is this chain. First 2 weeks of “training” consisted of tablet use and 0 actual hands on. And at a different store than the one I was working at. After training and got to work at my store only to be told basically everything I learned at 488 was bs and not right. But everyone at 488 said my store was stupid and did everything wrong. My store manager was new, didn’t know his left from his right or how to manage anyone. The lower managers walk all over him, sit in the office and made us normal employees fill out the paperwork AND run the store while they all took 5-6 breaks a night. 3 different managers. Had one manager who just didn’t like me and she’d bitch about everything. She’d tell me to clean bathrooms but the moment I got to cleaning them it was “you’re supposed to be watching for customers” this was nightly. So I had to clean the bathroom and check out customers. On top of that every night she was working and I was there I couldn’t even go do outside trash without her not checking out customers/blaming me for literally everything even kitchen accidents (I have 1 hand I didn’t work kitchen) I’ve now happily left.

I've noticed in basically any Sheetz I go to now that if I order a drink a person who is working the register has to try to make it. Sometimes even while making the drink they will have to stop while it's blending or something and go take money from someone. Then they come back throw on those little gloves without washing their hands and start making my drink again.

How in the absolute fuck is this acceptable? I don't blame the person making the drinks, because they are probably way more stressed than needed because of the work load. Why doesn't sheetz care?

i’m a 2nd shift supervisor at a very busy store with a drive thru, but i spent my first year and a half with sheetz as a salesperson at a very laid back and chill store with no drive thru. i wanted to move to a busier store to challenge myself and give myself a fresh group of people to start with as a management team member.

i am starting to settle in at this new store, and i am well trained on the bulk of the technical work involved in being a supervisor. but i am struggling with leadership skills. especially since i am still trying to adapt to the different ways they do things at this store. my new store manager specifically chose me because she felt like my personality and work style meshed well with her store. but sometimes i struggle with knowing when it’s appropriate to boss people around and when to trust them to just do their thing. i don’t want to treat my salespeople like idiots but at the same time i want them to respect me and i want to direct them and delegate them. i don’t know

can anyone who struggled with this at first provide some insight or advice? i thought i’d be able to jump right into it but it’s much more intimidating to be the boss than i ever thought before. i KNOW how to run a good shift. the rest of the management team has been very vocal about how they believe i have potential. but how do i get over my fear of telling people what to do?

So it’s been a month since I’ve been at sheetz and I’ve been working 5-10PM due to school my senior year and this is my first job but my first 8hr shift is Sunday 2-10PM any tips??
