Idk if a lot of business owners are on here, but I've noticed there aren't a lot of options around on Too Good To Go. It helps people get cheap food by selling extra product at a discount instead of throwing it away. I've gotten some solid meals from this app. I'm just posting to raise awareness 🙂

Hello! i am getting married this fall and we’re having a small reception in the backyard. we’ll be playing music but won’t have a DJ or anything like that. does anyone have experience with throwing backyard parties in the city that can weigh in on any permits i might need to get?

we will have a tent, some porta potties (that im parking on my driveway) and people will have to park on the street/ at the park. the reception shouldn’t go later than 8/9pm.

I have never eaten at a Chipotle before but saw the high protein menu and decided to try it. We went to the one in Niskayuna. All the tables and chairs were dirty and had food remnants. The floor looked like it hadn't been mopped in a long time, also there was food all over the floor. Don't think I will return. Is this a usual thing? and why would anyone ever go there. Hope the kitchen was in better shape.

I’m quite new to the area, we just moved this past weekend from Boston after living there for the last decade. We had our daughter and moved for the sake of our family, as my wife is originally from this area. I grew up downstate outside of the city and am used to a metropolitan area overall. We just moved into Rotterdam, and I’m definitely nervous about making new friends because I don’t really know anyone in the area other than her family. What are the best ways to make friends and meet people?

Just looking for friends in Scotia/Schenectady. I have plenty of random hobbies: I love tea, language learning (Arabic and Spanish now, fluent in ASL), boxing, running, pickleball, cooking, movies, progressive politics and all that jazz. The only thing I'm not huge on is drinking and clubbing.

Schenectady school district’s girls soccer team is struggling for numbers and we would love to have any interested athletes come out (modified and Varsity levels, grades 7-12) as we work to build the program up. I know it’s a long shot but wanted to see if anyone here has or knows a child who would be interested in playing. First time athletes welcome! Preseason is already underway so they would need to get signed up and started ASAP, especially at the varsity level.
