I have to say SXM in the “off season” is so peaceful!!! It should not be overlooked!! we stayed at Orient Bay over Memorial Day and we thought we would move up towards grand case I will say the water up here is much calmer and still Oyler. I was concerned about all the bars and activity, but we’re staying on the far end at the grand Beach club and it has just been amazing.

The picture of the hammock brings a smile to my face. In the afternoon I would take my bottle of pastis, ice and water, my book and earbuds and read and relax!

Often the pastis bottle is about 2/3 empty and left for the housekeepers but on our last trip weather problems in Miami kept us in paradise 3 extra days. So in the crook of the tree, on the left side in the picture, I left my empty bottle of pastis.

Last year in November we rented in that blue top building you can see next to Calmos Cafe. The sunsets were 10/10!
