Obviously washing and pressing is the best for quality but I've been having really good flower press strains as well and it produces a lot more. So the main question is do you prefer quality or quantity? Here are some examples of my live rosin presses and flower presses.
First 2 pics - Grape Melon Burst WPFF wash and press. An entire plant for about 4-5 grams, didn't weigh anything.
The rest of the pics are GMO Papaya flower press. Bigger results and great quality rosin. Pressed only 28 grams and got almost the same amount.
The only difference is a 25u bag vs a 37u bag and a lot of time. Washing, drying, sieving , drying etc. Flower rosin burns a little dirtier but nothing that isn't manageable with a q tip.
Curious what all of you rosin makers for personal use prefer! ✌🏻

I know they should be postless and fully ceramic, just wondering which ones are currently considered the best, looking to fill my own, don’t want it to burn or clog etc.

Tahoe OG x Platinum bred by the homie Inhouse Genetics. This one has a lot of gassy OG and minty pine to it.

Totally new to all this. Fell in love with rosin via MC carts and I’m ready to make my own.
About to bite the bullet and buy a 1T press (probably pollen pincher but please share recommendations).
Looking at the formulas, if I go for a 1.5” by 1.5” press, I’ll get a platen PSI of 889
If I go for a press of 2” by 1.5”, I get 667.
So:
Am I doing ok so far? Please share recommendations/advice if you’d like.
Is 889 or 667 platen PSI better for flower?
Do I hand press for the pre-press or use the rosin press?

I have been dabbling in making bubble hash over the past year. I finally had the confidence to risk my yeild and squish it. Im glad I did! First seed to hash rosin. Couldn't be happier with the first attempt. Cant wait for the summer ladies to be ready!

Hello! Has anyone tried this kind of rosin press? I’ve bought it in Alibaba (aliexpress) for 248€, discounted from 400€. How is it? It is worth it? I’m starting on this extractions world
It’s been really difficult to find a good press in Europe which ships to the Canary Islands. In the future I’m planning to invest in Terp Plates or Low Temp

Bred by Blaze_it_panda. Grown/hunted and pressed by me. I've kept her around for a while. She's full of Fruity Pebbles with some creamy vanilla and a little gas.

Been seeing suggestions in every thread to check out 5u and 15u bags. Internally, we had to know what kind of yield vs quality gains were possible. Lowtemp Industries did a little experimentation. Dropping the results below. I really just want to know for us smaller-scale producers if you think the gains are worth it. Is losing −3.565g, nearly 11% of your yield, worth the +0.202% gain in terps and +1.24% increase in cannabinoids? If you are doing this, does 5u taste noticeably better?
Strain: Citrus Octane
Material Type: Bubble hash
Micron Range: 45µ to 159µ
Load Weight: 32.75 grams per bag
Temperature: 173°F
Preheat Time: 30 seconds
Press Time: 3 minutes after preheat
Maximum Pressure: Stopped at 4,000 PSI on every press
The only variable changed in this experiment was micron size.
Results:
| Metric | 25µ | 5µ | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Average Output (g) | 21.305g | 17.74g | −3.565g |
| Yield % | 65.06% | 54.18% | −10.88% |
| Total Cannabinoids % | 79.901% | 81.14% | +1.24% |
| Total THC % | 67.272% | 68.380% | +1.108% |
| Total Terpenes % | 7.127% | 7.329% | +0.202% |

Papaya Juice - @washed__la x
@sugarmagnoliamountain
Art by: @theforeignorange
Genetics: papaya x durrburger
Aroma - 9.8/10
Tropical fruit hits first with a ripe, almost fermenting papaya aroma. Super loud and funky as soon as you crack the jar
Notes/Taste - 9.8/10
Opens with ripe papaya and mango, then finishes with a savory funk that gives it a lot of depth without overpowering the tropical profile
Texture - 9.8/10
Wet and oily with a saucy, badder-like consistency. Really easy to scoop and work with
Look - 9.8/10
Light cream with a pale golden hue and a glossy, terp-rich finish. Smooth, fresh-looking hash that lets the terps shine
Overall - 9.9/10
A really interesting and fun strain from start to finish. I usually lean toward funky terp profiles, so I was surprised by how loud the tropical fruit came through while still finishing with that savory funk.
I was honestly sad when I finished the jar because it was one I kept looking forward to. I've been wanting to get my hands on a Sugar Magnolia jar, so getting to try this Wash × Sugar Magnolia collab was a really awesome terpy experience. Hopefully I'll get the chance to try new flavors in the future

Like title says… while diy together was less then 150. Old press at shop I got from boss for 25 and the pid was sadly the cheap one not ink bird. Lesson learned, already ordered the ink bird. But pressed some tonight. Older flower so little darker but was happy as a clam. Will make it pretty in coming days. Just to excited and wanted to see if it could make some yum yum😅🤣 not a huge yield. Only pressed 1.5 to see😅 but I’m happy!!! Happy tokes people!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Since I need to buy a press, I’m wondering if buying the duleytek DM800 is a good choice for a beginner rosin maker? Any suggestions?
