Book Request Looking for a spicy paranormal romance with cinnamon roll MMC and an actual plot that goes beyond the romance
Shifters, werewolves, vampires, fae, literally whatever. But he’s gotta be sweet to the FMC, even if he’s not sweet to anyone else. The spicier the better, but I don’t want “they fuck each other” to be the entire plot. Pls and thnx

{howl for the gargoyle by kathryn moon} the fmc is a newly converted warewolf and is having difficulties adjusting, she hires mmc who's an escort for full moon to manage her cravings.
{berries and greed by lily mayne} fmc has been raised in a cult where mmc is considered god, they force mmc to take a bride and mmc chooses fmc, then he basically helps her get away and start a fresh life.
{queen takes knights by joely sue burkhart} 7 books rh series, fmc is a vampire queen who's been missing for ages, the concept of power in the depends on blood and sex, so there's absolute orgies, and her harem is large. One mmc is not sweet in the starting.
{under an alaskan moon by scarlett mcleod} not that spicy but mmc is a warewold who's been searching for her mate for a century and finally finds her when he's on the verge of dying.
{veiled heritage by yasmin von hove} 3 books rh series, fmc has been living in human world but struggling due to her supernatural features, finally goes to supernatural academy and finds out she has seven mates and is the heir to the supernatural world's throne.
{blood oath by morgan b lee} 4 books rh series, fmc is a killer who infiltrated an academy to kill her targets but her plan gets disrupted when she finds out she has four mates, initially she rejects them but slowly changes her mind when they pursue her. One mmc isn't as sweet in the beginning but he has a damn good reason, tho I don't rly like him.
{a demon's guide to wooing a witch by sarah hawley} mcs are enemies but mmc loses his memory and fmc helps him get with with his enemies and people eyeing to kill him, then they set out on a journey to run away and find ways for his memories to return.
{bad demon by sherilee grey} mmc is a hellhound who finds his mate, fmc has been hiding from someone and doesn't trust him so binds him in a master/slave relationship, she just think she did, but mmc acts like it so she isn't scared of him.
{i am the wild by karpov kinrade} 3 books rh series, fmc has just lost her last family and goes to interview for a law firm which is run by four vamp brothers. One mmc isn't as sweet in the beginning, idr how much spice was there in which book, but there were def some.

Oh man, have you read any Heather Guerre?! She's queen of this.
Two books of hers I think fit a cinnamon roll/sweet MMC.
{Hot Blooded by Heather Guerre} - human FMC, Vampire MMC who is the sweetest guy. Plot is kind of interesting, very spicy.
{Once Bitten by Heather Guerre} - the MMC is the sweetest guy to the FMC HOWEVER - major spoilers - halfway through the book, the human FMC is bitten by a vampire. She turns, and MMC becomes horribly cruel to her because he thinks she's dead and the vampire that has "taken her over" has simply borrowed her memories of him. He really doesn't believe the woman he loves is present in the vampire version of her. He does learn he's wrong, and it has a happily ever after, but for a while in the middle part he's really cruel to FMC. I find it excusable, given his reasoning, and he makes it up and apologizes deeply!

I tried Hot Blooded years ago, and I DNF’d, but I can’t remember why. I think I’ll give it another shot, because I have seen it recommended a lot! Thank you!!

Okay idk what book I thought I had read, but it wasn’t this series. I started it, and I’m on chapter 3 of the first book, Cold Hearted. I am LOVING it so far. Thank you so much for the recommendation!

Hah! Amazing. The first MMC is much less of a cinnamon roll, but the following 2 definitely are! It's an amazing series; I hope you enjoy.

Here to rep Abigail Kelly yet again. <3
First in her New Protectorate series (which means you need no background info) is {Consort's Glory by Abigail Kelly}. Teddy is one of my favorite feral MMCs.
First title in a related series and can mostly be read without background info: {Grim's Blessing by Abigail Kelly}.
First book is elf MMC/witch FMC, second book is vampire MMC/human FMC. Both MMCs are absolute killing machines... and total simps only for their lady.

My top recommendation is {Monstrous Series by Lily Mayne} which has a variety of different monster love interests, each book has a plot and there's a bit of an overarching plot across the series, lots of well written spice but done in a way that is impactful and relevant to the characters. And basically every single one of these monsters is a total sweetheart. They're all MM.
I probably have some other recommendations for you but I'll have to have a think. It sort of depends how much plot you're after as quite a few of them are more on the fluffy end.

How about some oldies but goodies? I've been on a reread binge lately and these are some of my favorite series because there's no bullying between the MCs, the FMCs are all distinguishable from each other, and they're funny as heck. For the most part, the MMCs are super soft for the FMC
Shelly Laurenston
- {Magnus pack series by Shelly Laurenston}
- {the pride series by Shelly Laurenston}
- {the honey badger chronicles by Shelly Laurenston}
Interconnected series, about 20 books all together? MF, various kinds of shifters, various overarching plots and individual plots for each book. The humor is what keeps me coming back again and again, especially when I'm stressed or sad. They're just a perfect mix of good writing, good plot, great humor, and some fun violence thrown in without being angsty or stressy. Not all of the MMCs are cinnamon rolls, but they're all total softies for the FMC, head over heels, touch her and die vibes. The bears are usually more cinnamon rolly. They series don't have to be read in order, but you should read each series in order for them to make the most sense
Alanea Alder
- {bewitched and bewildered series by alanea Alder}
Heads up that it's not a finished series, but it's been ongoing for years (with some long breaks) and had a recent release. Every book is however, an HEA for the couple. MF, shifters, vampires, wothces and fae. All the books should be read in order, as there's one giant overarching plot throughout them all and smaller skirmishes/baddies in each book. Good characters, and they pop up often in subsequent books but holy heck there's a lot of them to keep track of. Good writing, although there's more typos than I usually prefer. But the humor keeps me coming back to these too (I have a type haha). Again, not all the MMCs are cinnamon rolls but same idea that they're all head over heels for their mates
Other honorable mentions that have the same general vibes of good characters, writing, plot and humor as well as MMCs that aren't utter assholes -
- {welcome to hell series by Eve langlais} - demons, witches, based in hell
- {a lions pride series by Eve langlais} - shifters
- {supernatural enforcers agency by Elizabeth Ann price} - shifters and psychics/maybe some other things?
- {Maggie's Grove series by Dana Marie bell} - shifters vampires, fae and tiger paranormal things
- {the gray court series by Dana Marie bell} - mostly fae

Will you accept a grumpy cinnamon roll MMC? If yes, then you need to meet Briggs in {UNAwere by Jess McFarlane}! He’s so protective and just lovely to Sybbie. I’m obsessed.

{Happy Medium by Sarah Adler}! The MMC is a grumpy cinnamon roll, and the resident ghost who drives most of the plot is absolutely fantastic. It might not be as spicy as you're wanting (I think only 1-2 sex scenes) but the FMC has a really good character arc that imo is almost more central than the romance itself.
