Mod Announcement We have reached over 50.000 members!
I have to admit that, since reddit doesn't openly display the statistics anymore, I missed the exact moment it happened. But based on our trajectory it must have been within the last 2-3 months. Right now we are over 53k already and still growing steadily!
That means it's once again less than a year since the last milestone and I want to welcome everyone who has jumped aboard. I hope all of you are having a great time here.
As always, feel free to comment any of your thoughts about the sub, it's rules, moderation or visual design, new flair ideas (the little tags next to your username - mine says "Jaybird") or whatever else - positive or negative - you want to say.

Mod Announcement We have new Subreddit Rules
They're nothing special and should be pretty normal for everyone already, but these are going to be our rules going forward. If you see someone act against them, you can report the post or comment and the mods will handle it.
1. Be respectful
2. No sexually explicit content
3. No Spam / Self Promotion
4. Credit Fan-Artists
5. Mark spoilers
6. Don't link to illegal comic book sites
EDIT (05/2022): Due to an incident where close to half the pages of a new issue were shared here, which we decided was too close to piracy, we have added a new rule
7. Don't post more than 5 (full) pages from the same issue
EDIT (01/2025):
8. Don't link to the platform formerly known as Twitter
To comply with Rule 4, either provide a link / linktree to different platforms, or mention the fan-artist's profile name in your post.
EDIT (04/2025): Rule 4 has been clarified to only apply to fan-art that doesn't already contain a clearly readable name-tag or profile-name. And fan-artists posting their own work here should add the Fanart (by me) flair to their posts.
EDIT (10/2025): Do not use this space to call for a "true fans revolt" or to organise harrassment of creators, etc - we don't want to be associated with you wimps
9. No incitement of mass-feedback campaigns
EDIT (03/2026): This stuff has always been removed as spam, but now it's a proper rule
10. No AI-generated content
Enforcement is based on personal estimation by the mods - there are no "AI-checker" tools involved. Contact us in case of an unwarranted removal.
If you have any questions or suggestions regarding these rules you can ask them below this post.

Discussion Jason's origin is a bit different than what I remembered... Spoiler
gallery(Nightwing Year One #101–106 (2005) & Batman: Under the Red Hood trade (2005-2006) ) also references to Green Arrow #69-72 (2007).
I found it fun to compare these two since they were coming out at the same time and the difference when it comes to Bruce and Jason's relationship is night and day, as there was a big difference between how Jason and Bruce were being portrayed in UTH and Nightwing Year One (2005) and Green Arrow #69-72 (2007) are good examples of this.
Jason's action and speech in Green Arrow #69-72 (2007) with Mia seem to make a lot more sense, especially given how Bruce is written closer to the Nightwing year one version than the UTH which *seems* to be taken a lot *more* from the original Post-crisis version. I don't know *why* they choose to go this route, but I guess it was just who Bruce was being written at the time??
Bruce is straight up an abusive asshole in this, and I think he is supposed to be complex and emotionally stunted, but personally I don't care because how *this* version of Bruce treats both Dick and Jason and it's impossible for me not to hate him.
Literally, comparing this to the original Post-crisis version (second chances and Just another kid in crime Alley) were Bruce treated Jason more like an actual child and a victim of crime vs here we're Bruce first action apon coming across Jason stealing the wheels off the batmobile was to tie him and gag him and leave him for what I presume is at least over night in the Batcave before being alone with him and having a "long talk", let's just say there's a big difference between the two.
Compared with the original version where Jason had months of rigorous training before becoming Robin, here it's a bit hard to say, but if I had to guess i think I'd put in a few days given the events in the comic (either that or Jason spend months training in the Batcave without leaving or knowing Bruce's name).
PS: I just want to say that I don't hate this comic, and I'm thinking of comparing it with other comics for comparison, especially in regards to how Jason is written.
It's not a good representation when it comes to writing Bruce and Jason's dynamic, but it does have its moments (and It's really more about Dick and Jason relationship), and does put some things into perspective when it comes to how these characters were being written at the time. ~~it's also fun, but damn can it be problematic at times, especially regarding Jason~~
It was also the first origin story that I read for both Dick and Jason so I'm a bit bias.

Fanfic / Headcanons Find a Arkham Knight fic
Finding a fanfic on ao3
Hey guys i read a fanfic about arkham knight in ao3 in 2022 and I am unable to find it again and in arkhamverse so batman died and it was how arkham knight jason got transported into earth prime and locked red hood up and then as batfamily freed red hood so arkham knight jason told them his story and in this fanfic when getting tortured in arkham asylum so joker used to rape jason and how dick of that world is actually Evil and obese over jason in sexual way and he knew jason is trapped under arkham but told no one and even came to gotham of earth prime and putted bombs all over gotham and kidnapped damian to kill him if they do not hand arkham knight over and later jason killed dick and when back to arkham knight world so people when told about the fucked up shit dick grayson truly was so all were shocked bro in it i think arkham knight jason and rose were in a relationship and slade is also a good person and it is a arkham knight world as jason if that universe by mistake traveled to earth prime

Meme / Humor Jason Todd fans also be like:
average jason todd fan writing/reading about him getting kidnapped, tortured, blown up, dying, coming back, dying again, having a mental breakdown, getting walked in on mid-breakdown by bruce, getting kicked in the nuts and then tossed into arkham in the same cell as the jonkler: 🥹🥰☺️😛🥺🤗🌞🤭😜

Comic Excerpt Did anyone ever think we would see Artemis wearing fishnets?
This is from Red Hood Outlaw #41
Artemis is naturally good looking so I guess it makes sense that those fishnets work. But she still has a long way to go before she reaches Zatanna and Black Canary level.

Got to meet him at a convention! Really awesome guy. Bought one of his prints too and he signed this helmet for free (though I did ask him in advance if that's cool with him lol) Just showing this before I put it behind a display case and pass it down to my family as an heirloom.

FanArt New tattoo, an impulsive last-minute decision at the studio
Was there to keep a friend company, realised I had the time for one myself. I blame the universe for having made me watch UTRH just the night before.
It was a difficult choice between this and Fatson.

I especially like the positioning of the moon in the the first panel. Looks almost like a halo.
