What’s a normal thing that feels strangely illegal when you do it?

Taking a nap at like 2pm on a Tuesday. Feels like I'm committing a crime against capitalism or something

Leaving the store without buying anything.

Walking out of a store without buying anything. I did nothing wrong and yet I speed walk past the security guard like I just robbed the place

Turning the light on in my car while driving at night. Parents made it seem like I was going to cause them to go to jail for doing it as a kid, always stuck w me.

I was looking for this comment lol This is 100% my answer as well! I can still hear my dad's voice in my head telling me that it's illegal and to never turn it back on

I've had to climb in my own house's window before when I locked myself out. It definitely felt like I was breaking in.

Walk through the green channel at Customs, even though you have nothing more illegal on you than your ripening BO after travelling.

Going and meeting someone from OfferUp to buy something. Feels like I’m buying guns in the black market

Paying my auto insurance bill when I haven't had a wreck or a ticket in years. It's a normal thing but I feel like it's illegal to have to pay for something if I don't use it

That's the point of insurance, though. Everyone who has the same insurance as you is basically paying into a pool of money so that when someone has a claim, they are covered by the insurance. Auto repairs are expensive, you don't want to be stuck paying that bill yourself if something does happen.

I'm oversimplifying it, but that's basically how insurance is supposed to work.

Parking in spots reserved for families or pregnant women. It’s not illegal but I somewhat feel bad doing that.
