CCW Licensing Some Towns do not even have applications online?!

In the past week I have been trying to find a PD to apply to as a non-resident for my CDW.
Issue is some towns do not even have their applications online, and they’re even fewer that for some reason say you are able to fill out the attorney general application and send it to them via mail.
(I believe it was Kingston?)

Is anyone here licensed in West or East Greenwich? That is where I wanted to apply.

They're required by law to give you an application and they are also required to issue it once you fill it out. Don't let them push you towards the AG who will deny you.

Issue is I am a non-resident, I need an online application to print and mail but the ones that have this feature are processing them at a snail’s pace. My hope is to try either Greenwich PD’s but they just told me over the phone I have to drive there to pickup an application. It is not that bad, am from NYC, but it is still annoying that there is none online.

They're still required to issue, resident or not

A lot of RI residents get nonresident permits in different cities from where we live if it's more convenient. The AG isn't required to issue, so he almost definitely won't

Also you'll need to come to RI basically no matter what at least once or twice to be photographed and fingerprinted, and possibly for an interview. But that's just rigmarole to discourage you; if your record is clean, they're required to issue you the permit

Edit: As to online forms, I know Warwick's forms are all available online as .pdfs and they used to be pretty reasonable about turnaround time

You sure? I understand their application is easily accessible but the wait times for that area seem to be high based off what other threads here are documenting.
Also, is it true your Rhode Island Permit has the Town Emblem on it? The Greenwich and Kingston one look pretty nice.

Given that you're an out of stater, your application will be treated differently pretty much no matter where you apply. If you're seeing better places with less wait times definitely try there first. Kudos to you for doing your research. Also each town does say it's issued by them, not sure if they all use the town seal.

That is actually what I used lol, the places I wanted to apply to just do not have applications online their site (some even only have FB pages and no websites?)
Rhode Island is rough..
