I’ve been grappling with pregnancy insomnia throughout the first trimester so far, last night got a whopping 3 hours 16 minutes. Yesterday was the most emotionally crazy day of my life. Went from dreading a potential repeat MMC to learning we are 8 weeks pregnant with modi twins - both measuring perfectly on time with strong heartbeats of 180 and 153.

I have never been more shocked, relieved, overwhelmed, excited, joyful, panicked, or grateful in my life - my husband and I can’t believe it.

Wow! Congratulations that’s exciting and scary! :)

10 semaines aujourd’hui.

I know exactly how this feels, and I have repeatedly told myself this same thing ā€œmy anxiety is not my intuitionā€

My midwife wanted to see me initially at 7w, then scheduled a 9w and a 10w appointment for me. The 2 weeks between the 10week and 12 week appointment (yesterday) were so brutal, this is exactly where my brain was at. It is ok to ask for a reassurance scan if that is available to you.. for me, reducing the wait to 2 weeks between appointments vs 4 weeks helped a ton just to know I get to see baby, even though more appointments does not necessarily prevent another loss per se. My previous loss was around this time of preg.

u/Sea-Plankton-8294 3d ago

u/ExplorerOdd8243 3d ago

I spotted every 2 weeks since finding out at 3 weeks and 3 days, each time lasting 2 to 5 days. My midwife has told me that if it is not accompanied with severe cramping and the amount of bleeding/color stayed the same (it was pink and brown for me) she is not too worried and bleeding probably is my cervix or a small subchorionic hemorrhage. With that being said, we did a transvaginal ultrasound only for my 7 week, and by 9 weeks we could see the baby transabdominally. Wishing you all the best.šŸ«¶šŸ¼

40 wks today and I had a couple of wake ups from cramps that felt like my insides were being rearranged, but no regular contractions yet. She's been moving a ton also. I hope she doesn't make us wait long.

I’m 8+0 weeks along after a 36 week stillborn due to a missed succenturate placenta. I gave birth vbac less than 4 months ago so I’m feeling tired and trying to give myself a lot of breaks. First ultrasound is in 3 days and I’m incredibly nervous that I could have another loss that would compound my grief. I am nauseous as all hell though, so that makes me think the pregnancy is going well. Even though there’s no safe zone for me, it does feel like some relief is coming after I see a heartbeat since my son made it so far. Ā He would likely have been perfectly healthy if I had just had a damn ultrasound when I went to the hospital saying I felt a huge decrease in fetal movement at 34 weeks. So if I can just make it out of the first trimester, it feels like I can make bring this baby home at the end with close monitoring.Ā

šŸ«‚ thinking of you. I hope your first scan gives some relief from the anxiety. Also at 8, 8+1 now.

Thank you šŸ™ I will be thinking of you knowing we are on the same timeline! šŸ’ž

2 days until my next scan woo! Will be just under 16 weeks. My first proper cervical length scan of the pregnancy. But mostly it will be amazziingg to have confirmation that we are still in the game, after the last scan being almost a month ago. I had a 16w MMC measuring 14 weeks so I'm very keen to know everything is all good. I'm happy I was able to hold out this time and didn't really feel the need for an interim private scan. The perks of having many other things on my mind right now, plus a toddler!

7 weeks 4 days and my nerves are coming undone today. Getting close to when I lost the last pregnancy and I went to bed with a bad feeling, woke up to find all of my Fitbit stats have dropped to pre pregnancy levels. My first scan isn't until 9+1 and I can't shake the feeling that something is wrong. I've been relatively low symptoms but my discharge has decreased and my boobs aren't even sore. And today I'm a little crampy

u/writeronthemoon Late 30s I 1MMC 3/26 I Due 4/27 2d ago

Cramps can be part of pregnancy though. And symptoms can fluctuate! I freaked out last weekend after similar experiences but them the symptoms came raging back. I hope yours is similar.Ā

12+4! We had our NT scan yesterday, and saw baby flipping all around. They are so much bigger than two weeks ago! Their NT is fine, their heart rate is 153, and they are measuring a day ahead even! I’m so beyond grateful and happy. After our 9 week MMC in January (measuring 6 weeks) I can’t believe we’re talking about getting out of the first trimester now. Our sonographer was wonderful, beyond kind, and let my husband in the whole time. I told him my fears and he immediately began and flipped the screen to show me the little baby and the heart flickering. This process has been so healing and I couldn’t be more grateful. A long journey ahead of course but today I’m leaning into the relief!

I’m 6 weeks and so scared for my first ultrasound in 9 days. I lost my last baby at 12 weeks after four healthy children. Then had a chemical two months after that. My HCG levels have been great but I woke up today so scared.

u/JustAHippy 2d ago

6 weeks today šŸ™‚

u/Bi0_Nerd 2d ago

Me, too.

u/Bi0_Nerd 2d ago

Long vent but ugh.

Stressed. I’m six weeks today but they don’t know viability so I go in on the 15th to find out. I have a subchorionic bleed, and was recently in the hospital for medical issues I have. I needed Valium and the doctor went ballistic. I didn’t get it for two days, so I was in spasms for days. The doctor didn’t believe me or my outpatient neurologist so he stopped all my medications, leaving me in a dire state.

While I was spasming and out of it, he pulled my husband aside and told him it was psychological and that medicating me would kill the baby.

Now I’m living in hell. I’m back on my normal meds, which were deemed fine by high risk perinatology and OB. We didn’t plan this time. We tried for three years. I had two losses and a year of infertility. This wasn’t thought to be possible so now I want it desperately but I’m scared for my health, too.

I would be six weeks today. My HCG went up not down after bleeding but the rise was questionable initially, it should have been higher but where I am now is a point where it doesn’t double every day or two days.

The hospital OB was phenomenal. She made sure I got meds and told them to treat mother because without me there is no baby. Still the other doctor made me feel like a garbage human.

6w0d. Had a full blown, sobbing panic attack during breakfast because my scheduled ultrasound isn't for 26 more days and I am so scared that something is wrong (I have no reason to believe that, I'm just anxious), so my mom decided to treat us to a boutique ultrasound next weekend just so I can calm the fuck down and not be a complete disaster until my appointment. She offered to schedule this weekend but I know 6 weeks is early to see a heartbeat on abdominal ultrasound, so 1 week until we get to check on baby Mochi.

u/writeronthemoon Late 30s I 1MMC 3/26 I Due 4/27 2d ago

Baby mochi!! I pray they will be well.Ā

I think I got my hopes up too high today at 6 weeks even though I told myself I wouldn’t. Now I have light brown spotting. It feels like a punishment for allowing myself to get excited.

I know it’s hard to stay positive, but it’s possible it’s a hematoma. I bled brown from 6 to 11 weeks because of one.

u/nursingnataly27 3d ago

I just found out that I’m pregnant with baby number two after 1- MMC. I am four weeks almost 5. So it’s so early on. I feel excited and anxious at the same time. What’s been helping the most is having my three-year-old and staying busy with everything that she needs. I overall feel really well, but my work is so demanding both physically and mentally and that is a big concern of mine. I want to try to stay as stress-free as possible but I feel so taken advantage of at work.

15+3 and still very anxious about this in between where I’m feeling better but not yet able to feel baby, but I really feel like body is changing this week! My lower stomach is a lot more round and I noticed my bellybutton sort of ā€œpoppedā€ from an innie to more flat lol.

My next appointment to check on baby is this next Friday. Always praying for good news šŸ’“

u/AverageSuburbanite09 2d ago

6w3d today. The nausea and fatigue has hit me like a freaking train. How is it possible to be starving and nauseous at the same time?!

I've never had symptoms this intense before. Probably because my HCG never got higher than 6,000 in my other pregnancies.

u/No-Pipe5346 2d ago

Hitting 10 weeks 1 day which is the same time I had a mmc and I am sick to my stomach with anxiety. My poor husband is doing everything to try to ease my anxiety but it’s overwhelming. Everything looks great (better) than last time. I’m on medication and everything is working in my favor. I’m a hermit crab, hiding out because I’m too scared to announce/tell people.

Went to tour a birth center yesterday. Absolutely loved it, plus this one can use my insurance so this baby gets to be born for free ! Besides having to drive an hour and a half to the center it couldn't be more perfect lol. Now today's my birthday and baby is craving fries, Ive cried about them twice this morning lol. 9+2 today
