CrimeTea ⚖️ 🫆 Influencer arrested at airport after shooting a firework through a child’s bedroom

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/32612821/influencer-firework-berlin-explode-video/

An influencer has been arrested at an airport after shooting a firework through a child’s bedroom window on New Year’s Eve.

Atallah Younes, 23, was detained at Berlin airport on Saturday as he tried to flee the city following the shocking act.

The arrest comes after the video blew up in Germany  – with Younes then claiming he was the victim of racist attacks.

The Palestinian has some 300,000 followers on Instagram and regularly posted his trip – which he appeared to enjoy.

But in subsequent clips after the incident reached the German press, Younes claimed Germany was against him.

He pleaded with Germans and German Arabs to be on his side when they were leaving comments telling him to get out of the country.

"An influencer" almost always ends with said moron doing something stupid.

It's the new "A Florida Man"

Ready for the end of the influencer era

u/DigBackground2765 8h ago

We really need it. They've become so insufferable to the point where I minimize the amount of time I'm outside to avoid whatever annoying bullshit they're up to.

It's too exhausting and I straight up have hatred for them. You'd think the prank videos from a decade ago would have been shamed to oblivion, but no. I also blame the people who keep watching all this fuckery.

u/Ok_Science_8502 8h ago

There's still really great content on social media, it's just that idiotic ragebait is what people choose to watch. You can find genuinely funny people, or people spreading positivity and helping others, really talented musicians, etc. You have to choose not to engage with garbage. We keep making these people famous and then blame them, but we're the ones creating them

u/No-Kitchen-5457 29m ago

Fuck off no one is forcing them at gunpoint to be pieces of shit.

u/rsoton 52m ago

Looking forward to GTA VI’s take on the modern-day influencer. I am going to terrorise them.

u/AmberKurland-98 10h ago

are these people okay in the head?

u/Manmer_Nwah 9h ago

No, he uploaded the evidence of him doing it.

u/TheAncientMillenial 10h ago

What an absolute evil human. Fuck him.

Can't wait for all the right-wing media to pick up on the specifics of this though. /s :|

u/stink3rb3lle 8h ago

He's reckless, irresponsible, and stupid. I think "evil" is pushing it.

u/letthetreeburn 6h ago

Shooting a firework at a residential building, knowing the danger you’re putting the residents in, is evil. Full stop.

u/stink3rb3lle 6h ago

You play a lot of role playing games to not understand the difference between chaotic moral choices and planful ones.

u/letthetreeburn 6h ago

Yeaaaah try explaining to the city guards that actually your alignment is chaotic neutral, not evil. You weren’t casting fireball to kill the orphans you were just casting fireball at the orphanage, and whatever happens next is the will of Tyr.

Though I must say you’ve made a terrible mistake by inviting me to talk about trrpg’s because I get to talk about my girl. I play a lot of evil in degree characters, and my current gal is a Tzimisce socialite. I tend to go for characters who are polite monsters, who speak kindly while taking people apart. She is not one of them. Instead, she is the ultimate “I didn’t mean to.” She takes responsibility heavily for actions she intended to take that caused harm and NONE for anything outside of her direct intention. She bloodbound a human and that resulted in their death? She regrets it heavily and is trying to make it right. Her plan went sideways and the coterie suffered for it? She offers to pay in boons.

Horrifically maimed a coterie member with fleshcrafting, requiring them to either burn extensive blood to heal or to submit to her touch again? She’s sorry he got hurt, not sorry that she hurt him. They had to stop him.

She genuinely doesn’t get why they’re upset she’s a diablerist. It’s not like she ate someone any of them knew, it was just some random guy to them. Why do they care?

In what shouldn’t be shocking in the slightest, she has caused more harm than any other character I’ve ever gotten to play. Polite monsters who own the fact that they’re monsters see harm as a scalpel, a tool to use with surgical precision. Do not kill when you can maim, do not maim when you can wound. Torture without permanent damage if you can. Someone who cannot accept “I intended A, and B happened as a result. B is not my fault” can cause far more cascading harm. She is responsible for more masquerade breaches than the rest of the party, combined, and is the reason our PvP damage counter is higher than our damage done to enemies counter.

I understand the difference between intentionally taken evil for the sake of pleasure, business, results and harm done thoughtlessly. I also understand that it doesn’t unmaim people. There’s a reason in the US we have degrees of murder, and that’s where intention matters. Still murder tho.

u/stink3rb3lle 6h ago

to kill the orphans

Why do you have to resort to counter-factuals to make your argument?

u/Drumedor 2h ago

The real life definition of evil isn't the same as some games' definition of evil.

u/TheAncientMillenial 8h ago

What if he killed a person? Set fire to the room or building causing other injuries or deaths? He's also normalizing this kind of fucked up behaviour to the idiots watching this drivel as well. Fucking evil.

u/stink3rb3lle 8h ago

killed a person? Set fire to the room or building causing other injuries or deaths?

These are the things someone less reckless and more responsible asks before they set off fireworks. But failing to consider them doesn't suddenly turn fireworks into violent weapons with the sole purpose of harm.

u/YoHelloHiGreetings 8h ago

Wilful negligence that could kill someone is evil.

u/TheAncientMillenial 8h ago

I don't really care. They are evil to me. Complete disregard for other humans makes you trash.

u/stink3rb3lle 8h ago

I don't really care

You should care. These are the distinctions between manslaughter and murder. If you call every person who accidentally harms another evil, you will group fools in with planful murderers, and mass murderers, and folks committing genocide, and punish them equally.

Recklessness doesn't have to be good to be different from genocide, especially when no one died.

u/-medicalthrowaway- 8h ago

I mean… if you look at good and evil as binary

(As in, you’re either good or evil)…

This guy is making a strong case for evil.

(Not saying I view being good and evil as binary, just playing devils advocate)

Our actions define us.

Better to be an “evil” man doing good things than a “good” man doing bad.

And yes that was a pun when I said devil

u/stink3rb3lle 8h ago

It seems the only actual harm involved here was vandalism; no person was even injured as far as anyone has said. The person replying to me doesn't care if a person was injured or not. And calling vandalism evil is a very good way to create a police state.

u/ChaoticPotential 8h ago

Soooo, my ex wife set off mortar round fireworks in our living room. We all survived (luck only).

When an explosion goes off in your home, that's more than vandalism

u/stink3rb3lle 8h ago

Do you watch this video and sincerely see the same level of intent as your ex had when she chose to set that stuff off inside the home?

What is this morality policing ass behavior... Defending an asshole who shot a firework at a building. Doesn't matter if he aimed at the kids window... He still shot it at the building. Full disregard for peoples safety for a clip.

u/stink3rb3lle 8h ago

It doesn't seem like you care that much about human health and safety yourself when you want to shame reckless behavior that didn't even harm a person the same as deliberate harm of others.

u/Marknoble117 The Timeline Sucks 8h ago

Let me ask you this. Say the kid in the room the firework was shot into DID die. Would that be an evil thing the influencer did? Why is the morality of the influencer actions dependent on whether someone was harmed or not? Is a drunk driver not an evil person if they get into an accident and nobody gets hurt? Where do you draw the line?

u/stink3rb3lle 8h ago

It would be an evil result, but it does not change the action into having an evil intent.

This is pretty grade school level ethics, distinguishing between action and intent. It's not esoteric. Virtually every single criminal justice system in the world distinguishes between reckless behavior and intent to harm.

u/Marknoble117 The Timeline Sucks 8h ago

Where did I say that? I just think it's stupid to argue with people who are calling it evil behavior... Because it's vile. Sure it's not Hitler evil, but still an evil thing to do. Doesn't matter if anyone was harmed or not. It's the intention that matters. The intention was to get a viral clip, disregarding peoples safety. Which is an objectively evil thing to do. What's so hard to get about that?

u/stink3rb3lle 8h ago

Setting off a firework is not vile. It has no evil purpose. This man was reckless with how he did it, which is why it went somewhere he did not intend. But it didn't injure anyone, and pretending that he intended harm is not rational.

u/Wool4Days 1h ago

What was accidental about pointing a firework towards a stranger’s open window?

u/alyy 6h ago

I agree that complete disregard for other humans makes you trash and very against this behavior.

I’m sure you would also care about all the prevalent evil, mass murder, and genocides going on elsewhere as well.

u/MowgliusManius 2h ago

Well, its not like the pro pally lot know or care about other genocides

u/thewalruscandyman 8h ago

He's a sociopath. Evil without remorse.

u/Bulky-Bid-8508 4h ago

Personally, whether he’s evil or not is irrelevant to me, if someone hurt my baby like that I would literally kill them without so much as a second thought

u/camel_master_69 3h ago

That is the definition of evil tho .

u/Elephantplan123 1h ago

'UHM AKTUALLLY 🤓"

u/4ever_Romeo 9h ago

Every time I hear or see the term “influencer” I want to barf.

u/bigtoeupmyass 6h ago

That's why people use it to describe anyone.  You can have 400 followers and post 3 pics and a post will say you're an influencer to get more hate comments

u/Manmer_Nwah 9h ago

What kind of fuckin dumbass uploads a video of them "accidentally" fire bombing a residence?

u/jrl2595 5h ago

Typical influencer…

u/NYCWartortle 8h ago

This is beyond messed up.

u/letthetreeburn 6h ago

He’s lucky enough to get into Berlin and decides to commit an act of violence. Stunning move.

u/Technical_Visit_1424 4h ago

Un tonto es tonto independientemente de donde nazca

u/laiszt 4h ago

Can we just fund all those people a trip to NK and encourage them to keep doing what they does?

u/SlowCheesecake9918 3h ago

That poor fkn child.

u/Andyseawolf 2h ago

Has the name influencer now replaced idiot 🤷

u/Eikram84 2h ago

Why exactly is this topic popping up here on Reddit yet again, simultaneously in different subreddits posted by a wide variety of users?

The video is from 2024. The guy has since been convicted. He appealed, which is why there is now a new trial.

u/Negative-Date-9518 2h ago

Imagine being a Palestinian and doing this while your homeland is burning what an idiot

Could have killed someone or set the whole block on fire

u/BuildAnything4 9h ago

What a disgrace. His countrymen/women/children are being slaughtered and this clown is single handedly damaging international goodwill for Palestinians. Israel couldn't pay someone to help them as much as this guy is helping them.

u/camel_master_69 3h ago

wtf ???!!!!!

u/zubairhamed 2h ago

man, exact same thing happened to me on Berlin's new year few years back....

Across the street, someone shot a rocket, hit my head, bounced off onto my balcony wall and fell 6 storeys down. good thing it didn't land inside my balcony.

this is the reason why new years day, i stay at home to ensure my apartment dont end up being burnt down.

PS: i think the zone he is in has a fireworks ban on new years, but he does it anyway.

u/Square_Cash_2784 2h ago

Filming yourself committing serious criminality and then posting the video online as evidence is definitely an unconventional legal strategy.

u/stealtzforce 2h ago

Send him back where he came from after a decent prison sentence

u/Junior-Ad-2072 2h ago

Influencers are a plague.

u/Illustrious_Fox_5591 1h ago

Shoots firework through someones window. And he pulls the racial card. Hahahahahaahah. Hahaahahah. Worst is. People will defend him

u/agouraki 1h ago

i swear i seen this years ago, might the same situation tho

u/Economy-Price6356 57m ago

ofc its a palestinian lmao

u/Capybarasaregreat 25m ago

Reminds me of another influencer fuck, Sam Pepper, maiming a child in India with fireworks for the same purpose of stupidity and the prospect of views.

u/Consequence-Lumpy 20m ago

The kid's room, according to the kid.

Drop him off back in Gaza

u/Antique-Cricket8809 38m ago

To clarify:

  • not a childs bedroom.
  • sentenced to 6 months probation
  • left the country
  • higher court ordered retrail on behalf of prosecution.
... Probably nothing will happen to him. Cant enter germany anymore.

u/Indoballz 8h ago

Isreal is happy

u/Beatless7 7h ago edited 1h ago

This act will lead to less support for Palestine and will end up leading to deaths. Bad bad bad move.

u/Lopsided-Show2994 4h ago

Lol no, most people recognize streamers are trash and not representative of their nations.

u/Beatless7 1h ago

Some

u/dingusdingus26 6h ago

Palestinians are hardly model citizens—that has been shown in crime statistics across Europe. Regardless of the actions of Palestinians, it doesn’t make the debate regarding Israel or Palestine fundamentally different.

u/Beatless7 6h ago

I disagree but the point is this did not do them any good.

u/Napoli_98 2h ago

You disagree about objective facts? 🤦🏿‍♂️ 🤦🏿‍♂️ 🤦🏿‍♂️ 🤦🏿‍♂️

u/Beatless7 1h ago

I've heard your arguments before...in the 70s about black people and the 80s about Jaimaicans and in the 90s about.....

Pork isn’t halal

u/Pinco_Pallino_ 8h ago

atallah younes... "Why everybody votes afd"

u/Mediocre-Sundom 3h ago

with Younes then claiming he was the victim of racist attacks.

Of course he uses a racial card… Because when you are a trash human being, why wouldn’t you use race as a shield after endangering people’s lives for content and trying to flee.

Influencers really are just absolute shit stains of humanity, no matter where they come from.

u/kingcalifornia Mister Tea 🍵 1h ago

Two things can be true at once. He’s a douche bag and he probably is on the receiving end of racist attacks.

The fact that you call it a “card” makes me think you don’t think racism exists.
