Disagree. Not to sound all reddit atheist, but religion is not respectable. Why should I respect the belief in things that are extremely obviously untrue and genuinely insane?

If you move past crazy stories that most rational people don’t take literally, religions generally teach people how to be good - be respectful to others, don’t be violent, etc.

Yeah but so does sesame Street, but without all the bigotry and suicide bombers.

Religion offers nothing uniquely positive to the world, while providing tons of uniquely evil things.

Name for me one good or noble thing that religion provides that can't be found elsewhere.
