Need to unlock locked Samsung phone

So as the title suggests I need to unlock samsung phone, specifically Samsung j8. It belongs to my dad, but it was just collecting dust in an old cupboard. He found it and wanted to open it for old photos, but forgot the password, because it been like 3 years or so and he has 2 phones now. I was wondering if it is possible to get the phone unlocked without losing data through some offline store near sakinaka metro station(MUMBAI), or to recover photos without unlocking the phone.I doubt that he enabled usb debugging btw.
