I have IBS and have occasional episodes of "shitting for my life," but after my most recent session, my daughter informed the rest of the family, "Mom was up in the middle of the night fighting demons." Whatever you call it, the sweating is intense.
I have IBS-C, which means I do not clear out all waste each day, and it begins to build up, and then my guts basically convulse when it gets too built up, and it comes out quickly but not "easily" -- much gut cramping and sweating are involved.
LOL. Fortunately, I have very little body odor. These episodes often hit me in the wee hours of the morning, I just strip sweaty shirt off and put on a dry one.
If I do not have the luck of having a toilet within reach and have to hold my shit for some minutes, I start to sweat profusely. I also have nausea and dizziness. But once I'm on the throne, it all comes out easily too lol. IBS really is the worst.
Feel your pain. Didn't get diagnosed until AFTER having my gallbladder removed. Legitimately will start sweating bullets if I cannot get to the toilet fast enough. (And yes I have a healthy balanced diet. My gut just does whatever the hell it wants.)

Because if your really shitting for your life, your gonna sweat a lot doing. Makes sense to take your top off to avoid. And it can be more comfortable
