Leave a comment down below detailing what pain points you've had with the Kick website or various apps (or lack thereof) or any additional features you'd like on the site.
Wubby is compiling a list to send over to the Kick team to try and improve the platform.

Edit: Chaining on to add that please dear god stop having autoplay on the main menu of the android tv app. It blasts at like max volume whoever is on the front page if you aren't fast enough and kick streamers love earrape

The live rewind function does not work on desktop. It will randomly skip to live every time I get close, especially if I'm trying to catch up by watching on 1.5x speed
Edit: Also, when it catches up to live, the stream crashes and you have to refresh the web page

It seems to skip back to live once you've watched as long as you skipped back. For example, if stream has been going for an hour and you skip back to the beginning, you have an hour of watching until it goes back to Live. At least that's my experience.

For the love of God, track our vod progress across devices. Sometimes it doesn't even track it on the same device. I basically memorize the timestamp when I go from my phone to a TV or vice versa.
On android TV, seeking (fast forward or rewind) after having watched for some time reverts back to where the seek bar was when you started the vod. Try to fast forward a minute or go back a minute, you'll be sent back to where you started the vod.
Pop up (picture in picture) video on android doesn't support pause in the pop up, unlike almost any other video player that uses the pop up feature.
Plenty of other polish is needed, but these are the obvious ones for me. Would be a good start.

Also, on the TV app when you try to fast forward or rewind it jumps in 2-3 minutes increments which makes it very hard to go to a specific point in the VOD

Yes, this!! Especially VOD playback, desktop is especially bad. it doesn't remember your progress at all and will set you back to the beginning if it reloads for any reason. Picture in picture pausing is a big one I've noticed too

BUG
Be on iPhone> kick notification pops up for wubby> tap notification> kick opens to wubby stream> black screen, no video> force close app> works about 50% of the time> force close again until stream works.

Best fix for this is to open another stream, and then click back into wubby. Way quicker than force closing the app.

Similar on Android. If I switch between apps, most of the time when I switch back to Kick it'll either be black with no sound, or I'll get an error saying something happened to the broadcast. Need to close out and reopen.
If I watch it using Firefox on my phone I don't have that issue though.

Yeah, this is recently occuring for me in the last week. Every stream is at 50% and its weird to manually turn it up every time. Even if Kick crashes and restarts, it resets it down to 50%.

Why? No other platform or application in the history of ever does this. If you want a lower volume when opening a new stream, then lower your volume when opening the stream. That's why we have volume settings on our devices. Forcing the user to constantly set the volume to the "normal" setting that should be default has no purpose

Audio-Only mode so i can listen to stream at work without any video. Also good if i want to listen when im going for a walk or driving. It will save data too.

Ahh, I see. Would going into the advanced settings and choosing 160p work for that in the meantime? I'm assuming it hurts audio quality a little but might be worth trying for now.

Different types of roles other than VIP and MOD that can be customized by the streamer. I.E. Hiroshima guy with the role “resident gooner”. A one guy badge would be awesome too.

It would be cool if you could allow URLs beginning with a certain address in chat (eg YouTube.com/* or reddit.com/r/paymoneywubby/*) while keeping other URLs blocked

That isn't a Kick default, the streamer enables that feature by choice.
Wubby probably does that on purpose to now allow spam. If you send a URL, Wubby and mods can still see your message, it just wouldn't show to other chatters.

Fix Smart TV / Chromecast. When i work from home i chromecast to my tv and there is a delay of 30 seconds.
I cannot join in chat as im reacting 30 seconds late and i get spoiled on stream by other people's reactions.

Fix the resizing issue on the mobile app: the Mini player cropping instead of fixing zoom. When in app, small window in a large black space. Have to reset stream to fix.
Please for the love of God remove tthots and whatever other junk appears before my live followed streamer in feed ...

Allow the user to select a resolution and save it for future streams.
When a window is resized or moved, the resolution is changed and the stream has to reload which is incredibly annoying. (Only tested on Windows with Firefox)
Allow users to block streamers so they don't show on the homepage or recommended.

This is incredibly annoying when watching a VOD. Every time this happens I have no idea how long into the VOD I was and it takes forever to get back to where I left off. I usually just stop watching.

Every time a service like phone calls or anything that takes controls of the audio, Kick stream stops, green "go back" option pops up.
Clicking it does not restore stream, instead the entire apps requires to be closed out. This is on an s24.

There's an auth bug for mobile apps where OTP doesn't work correctly. I flagged it to their support in March but they didn't seem to keen on fixing their hash functions and pushed me to change my email to 'something more common'. Needless to say I can't use the mobile apps anymore, and have been in browser hell when watching streams on my phone or tablet.

The Kick TV app that exists on certain platforms is riddled with bugs, but it is NOT existent on a lot of the most available smart TV platforms.
Samsung doesn’t have one, LG doesn’t have one, but Sony has one.
If they could have the widespread couch availability twitch has, it would be super beneficial in pulling streamers over from twitch in the future.

Slow mode works by removing the focus from the text box you type into. Which means if you hit enter then go to type another message, even if you're not going to send it right away, then hitting the space bar will pause stream. It's super annoying.

I know Wubby said before that he likes that kick pays him better even if it’s just from having active chatters. It allows us to help support our favorite streamer without directly having to pay out from our pockets. They should add more uses for the little channel points we generate from watching. Maybe kick could work some kind of deal where Wubby can earn small amounts from us redeeming those points.
You could add chat name colors purchasable with said points. Maybe they could add different backgrounds to unlock instead of the solid black (I don’t mind the black either though) Or maybe redeem a large amount to pin a chat message(approved by mods obv and could be so many points per character. This would also be pretty costly to do)
Chat on mobile is terrible if you’re watching full screen. It makes the stream window smaller, I’d prefer if they gave an option to make it transparent and fading scroll up like you’d see on YouTube mobile or Instagram. This might just be my preference though.
Kick also needs to stop asking me every time I get on “tell us about you” No. I’ve ignored the message every time. You need nothing from me, the only reason I open kick is to watch Wubby’s streams.

They should integrate tangea on their part, then they can make a "TTS" button on the kick page and fix tts badges.
This isn't as "hard" as Wubby thinks it is, if we're talking about Kick doing some actual work on the backend. It's literally just implementing the API.

Viewer ads? Streamers can dedicate a space on stream for viewers to pay to have an image appear for a limited amount of time, these could be moderated by channel mods and the streamer themself. Maybe it would mostly be jokes but if its moderated by streamers directly including price and duration why not put advertising directly in the streamers hands built-in.
Could this be built outside of kick? Absolutely, however if its built right into the site then payment processing, browser sourcing and moderation could all be on board.
Won't people just post boobs? Well the streamer / mods could control that.
Do I know what would this would take or if its really a good idea? No, but the thought of putting advertising directly in the hands of streamers and their communities by just firing up kick seems like a cool idea to play with, even if it winds up just memes appearing until the streamer toggles it off for their content.

When I am watching a VOD on my PC if I move the window from one window to another it will restart the VOD. The only way I have found around this is to open another tab and move the window while on that tab then go back to stream.

I wish we could disable the second factor authentication entirely. I just want to chat in funny man's stream, not reach my bank account. And the cookies never worked, ever. Logged off every week. It's just pushing people away from using the platform.

Two related things that I miss from Twitch:
1) See a chatter's recent messages by opening their pop-up profile window
2) Be able to open that window by clicking on their username tag in a message rather than just from a message that they sent
Not sure how much of this is 7TV. I have that on both platforms.

A way for Wubby to call a chatter directly. He did say it can be specific for him, so Wubby always shouts out a specific chatter to speak to him on what ever they said in chat. What if there was a way that wubby could click that chatter’s name and have a call button so they can actually talk on the stream. Instead of them reaching out to a mod saying they need their discord yada yada, this is a faster, more direct way. Kinda big stretch but never know.

Maybe if users linked they discord into their kick profile you could do some URL shenanigans that will open discord and start a call with whatever username when Wubby clicks it. Or they'd have to build a whole call/vidconf set up into the kick site. Would be cool though

API connections and integrations.
Faster updates to game categories.
A real recommendation system with features like:
“Because you watch Wubby”
“People who watch X also watch Y”
Turn clips into a full content product. Let creators push clips directly to TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
Add a vertical, TikTok-style clips feed inside Kick, with direct access to vertical live streams.
Allow viewers to comment / like and share clips.
Improve collaboration tools with:
Combined chat.
Split-screen viewing.
Automatic links between collaborating channels.
Give smaller creators controlled exposure with something like “Give Someone New a Shot.”
Only creators under a certain threshold, such as 100 CCV, would qualify.
Kick would test those streams with small groups of viewers. If viewers click, stay, chat, or follow, the system would gradually show the stream to more people.

Tiny minuscule bug but on mobile if you have Kick playing Picture-in-Picture and open it to full screen the stream pauses like 70% of the time and you have to manually unpause it.

PLEASEEEEE ask Kick to remember VOD progress on desktop. The app has VOD playback, but on desktop/browser the video plays from the beginning whenever you reload. Please, I keep losing my spot in videos when watching on my computer 🫶 Edit: some other comment mentioned remembering VOD progress across devices, which I also agree with 👏

Both the app and website are so quiet on mobile that I have to open the site in firefox (mobile) and then use a 1000% volume boost extension to even hear what Wubby is saying. It's fuckin absurd.

would be cool if they had a feature that would allow you to with one click do a picture in picture when the streamer you're watching is collabing with someone else. like if wubs, peanut, carlos, and goosey were all live and playing a game, with a click we can have a small screen version where we can see what their perspective looks like at the same time.

Better playback. Not only is audio so quiet, but if the stream is live and you rewind, it’ll skip you forward to live after 10-20 minutes. It’ll also randomly kick you out of full screen

I use kick on chrome on my windows pc
Chat replay while watching vods doesn't pop up the same as when live. It loads all new messages at once every 3 seconds, instead of loading them the exact second they were sent. Having a vod chat like live chat is a better experience.
Remembering the timestamp I left a vod on. Right now it resets to the begining.
Clicking on the player window is buggy. Clicking to pause when video is playing doesn't work. Sometimes I have to click theater mode like 5 times for it to work, same with mute button
Adding all the features from mo'kick Chrome extension for kick.com and 7tv Chrome extension for twitch.com would be an IMMENSE improvement.
Scroll to pause live chat is buggy.
- Sometimes when I scroll to the bottom to return to live chat, it pauses at that lowest message, but doesn't show new ones, and show the message "1, 2, 3 new messages"
- when I scroll up to find a message, the scroll to pause doesn't work, and is really frustrating. I will scroll to look at a message, but as a new message is sent, these old messages will move up the corresponding number of lines. So I'm looking at old messages, but I have to keep scrolling up to see the same message. (I've had this happen when I'm looking at a very old message for several seconds, but this bug might happen in other scenarios too)
- when I'm looking at a old message in chat, and this scrolling bug happens to me, I can scroll all the way down and back up, to fix it. But it will delete some very old messages, so I won't be able to catch up on old messages properly. This sucks when I'm trying to read multiple conversations or making long replies to long comments.
Ability for chat to submit emotes for the streamer to use. Mods can accept or deny or add notes to reason for denial or changes the emote need for acceptance
More fun options for redeeming channel points.
Ability to share vod at a certain timestamp
@ing the streamer doesn't auto fill the name
Live captions.
Ability for watching with audio only
Ability to still see my message if it was automatically "deleted by moderator". And knowing what word or phrase triggered it would be great. (I know it can be used to evade the system, but at the same time, It helps me to know "hey, don't talk about that thing" or this is a "bad" word. Also I really hate not being able to recover that message, especially if I put alot of thought and time into it, and its a long message, and I'm not able to alter it to the community guidelines or copy and paste to a friend privately)
Make the x1, x2, x3, etc daily watch streak multiplier (for the daily collectable emote) actually mean something or have some effect, besides just being a number on a screen.

An automatic estimation of when he could be starting stream.
They already added the schedule section but we know wubby will not use it, so if they add a 'Usually starts at' using your local time so you don't have to play the timezone game, it may be useful. They already have the data, why not use it?
Yes, the regulars already know his schedule for most of the days, but this could help the newer people.

On my end, I’m an iPhone user and when on mobile I watch thru the browser instead of the app. When I try to play the stream in the background it stops and I have to go back to the browser and restart the stream. Same thing happens when locking my phone, the stream stops and I have to restart it. This is the only website where I have this issue with stream or video content, it’d be super nice to not have to do that all of the time. It’s also why I miss the streams on kick because it’s just too much of a hassle to deal with the mobile player.

Bug in Apple TV - the video does not play full screen. It seems the video is only about 90% of the full screen size and it leaves black bars on the left, bottom, and right of the TV.
Also, the latency is so bad compared to the Twitch app. It’s regularly 30+ seconds behind “live”

Loading times is a main one. From launch of the app, clearing the first pop up, scrolling to follows, clicking wubby and waiting for the vod/stream to load. It can be upwards of 2/3 minutes if not longer and I’m on an iPhone 17 pro max. Also, if I’m in chat awaiting wubbys arrival and he goes live, I get no notification 75% of the time and when I go to switch to the live, it’s black and won’t load.

Expanded chatter identity customization for sure. The route I’m thinking of is like customizable abilities similar to how MySpace/tumblr could be edited using html. The vision that comes to mind are the sparkly and flashing early 2000s bling aesthetic jpegs, being able to do something like that could be so fun.

I watch from the kick app on my phone the most. Lately when I am scrolling something else with a small kick window it messes up the screen, either the screen is blown up or goes black. When I click back into watch stream at full screen, the screen goes black or doesn't load and I have to reload.
I would also love a TV app on my Samsung Smart TV so I don't have to use my laptop or phone. Sometimes I just wanna kick back on my bed and have kick up on my TV. I do this often with twitch.

Blocking a channel should be tied to your account. I find it absurd that blocks are cached to your current session and not permanent.
For example: if you have the app on multiple devices (e.g phone, tablet, TV) and you block a channel on your phone, that channel will not be blocked on your other devices. It has to be blocked on each device individually to have it stop being recommended to you on the front page.
Also, channels that you do follow should appear in a consistent spot on the front page. Every time Wubby goes live, I have to hunt for where he’s been placed on the front page

Every week the site logs me out from Firefox, then requires me clearing the cache specifically for Kick in order to log back in.
Also +1 for resizing issues, it makes the whole player freak the fuck out and freeze on mobile and on desktop.
The Apple TV app needs to have a setting to disable AutoPlay (audio & video) when it opens to their home page.

Anytime I'm watching a vod of kick on mobile and have it in picture n picture mode, when I try to go back into the app it completely freezes and crashes. And when he's live and rewind it, I could be watching for 30 mins and it stops telling me it ended or something, or every hour it's doing it. No rhyme or reason just shits the bed. Also having to watch thru the web browser on Xbox is aids.

Working an integration between Kick and Warren James or some vendor to do a merch drop for the Subathon exclusively. Have it where subs get discounts, and non-subs can basically gift themselves subs by buying merch above a certain dollar amount. Have it where it links the Kick account to the merch store for verification or something and that way people are incentivized to either sub for a discount, or buy and get a sub. Can work for other streamers on the platform too maybe idk. Luv u

When I am watching on mobile and have to pause or lose connection to the internet the video crashes and I am unable to reload or interact with the video till I either load another video or restart the app.

If you have an alarm or timer go off it’ll say an error occurred and you have to close out the app.
When watching a previous vod while wubby is live, the error will also occur if wubby goes offline while watching a vod

On iOS, if an alarm goes off or the feed gets interrupted it stops the vod, will not resume and I have to kill the app and relaunch.

On Apple TV the stream will be smaller than the size of the TV screen leaving black bars around the whole stream area. Sometimes the bars are bigger and sometimes they are smaller and sometimes not there at all and the stream is full screen. There is no consistency in how it will display the stream.

If I’m watching delayed on iPad, when Wubby ends stream, the playback ends, it should let me keep watching my delayed stream. And when I click to the Vod, it doesn’t know where I was in the stream before Wubby ended, so I lose my place

Minor gripe but on mobile when in full screen it only full screens 1 way, it will not flip to the other side, so if I want to use my cases kick stand (Samsung wallet case) I have to watch stream upside down (I don't do that but my other option is leaning it against something or laying it flat.) I don't have my screens orientation locked.

win10, firefox: when opening stream and when dragging window to secnd monitor and when changing quality from auto to 1080, player crashes and i have to pause/play or refresh page to make it work

On IOS app, watching VOD at 1.25 or 1.5x speed makes the audio sound distorted or echo-y. This doesn’t seem to be an issue if I’m watching on pc.

- long press to reply to chats on app similar to twitch, currently you have to click on their name, scroll down, and click reply
- sub trains!!
- be able to change playback speed on Sony TV app
- notifications for when you get gifted a sub. currently have to check on desktop for who i’m subbed to (or see my sub badge while in chat) and who gifted it to me.

Android app, consistent issues across multiple devices:
Watching stream on wifi, leave wifi reception, stream stops, mobile data takes over, stream screen remains paused/black or shows an error message. Will not play until the app is closed and restarted.
App does not remember previously selected stream quality.
If I have wubbys kick chat open before stream starts, then get the live notification and tap it, it opens to the stream but it is stuck black and the app needs to be restarted.

The app does not remember my chosen quality between streams, I often am on data and try to use the lite quality option, but it switches back every stream

On desktop, the audio slider will get stuck, not letting me turn up or down the volume. Very annoying & when looking it up I just get suggestions of downloading a whole extension for kick audio.

On mobile: open stream, buffers for a second if not on wifi, app crashes and logs me out. Happens once a week. Kick seems to log me out on all devices as well except my tablet

On Android, whilst listening on any Bluetooth headphones, pausing using my headphones (e.g. tapping once on my earbuds) only pauses the stream for ~0.5 seconds.

There is no way for me to watch on the TV. I have to cast it from my phone which is literal AIDS.
